We went to look at plants for our grandma. We live in DC. I have to say I was so disappointed by all their plants. They were all dead or dying. Clearly management needs to water plants or get their staff to do it. I even say a couple elderly women complaining about all their dead plants. So what they are charging is absolutely crazy. We purchased a GE profile washer/dryer in one. It was kind of expensive but they were offering a Lowe's $300 rebate. The $300 rebate sign was facing the washer dryer that we purchased in the aisle and the representative said we would get the $300 rebate along with a $25 penelec rebate. After we made the purchase and it was delivered today we got no papers to file for the rebate. I called which first of all it's hard to talk to someone you have to go through ai. Once I did talk to someone they said we had to purchase a steam closet with the washer dryer to get the rebate. I had the lady go back and look and she said yes the sign is above the washer dryer but the steam closet is in the owl at a 90° angle next to the washer dryer. As far as I'm concerned this is false advertisement and they deliberately place it that way so you think you're getting the rebate but you're not. The representative did not tell us we had to purchase anything with the washer dryer that we bought. Their solution is to give us $100. My husband took the call or I would have told them it was unacceptable. They should have at least given us $150. I am debating on contacting the better Business bureau because I feel this was set up like that on purpose to get people to purchase the washer/dryer. The only way your son I'm giving a two-star is because it did seem to work nice this one time I used it so far. read more

Love how they now put the "of so and so" in the title. Like it makes it feel as if you are going to a destination hardware store. I mean I guess you can perceive it that way, especially if you enter through the garden center. Pretend, if you will, you are entering an uncharted area of the lower Cambria County. Proceed with caution as there are dangers ahead. Insects of all varieties and birds that look like they can swoop down and poop on you... Wait, what was I talking about? Oh, right, Lowe's. This one is like all the other Lowe's stores out there. You can come and get your material to replace whatever it was that you broke and be back at home in time to curse yourself out that you forgot the one component you went there for in the first place. Items are exactly like others you would find elsewhere with the exception being that seasonal items are, well, seasonal. Staff is as pleasant as they were trained. We have used Lowe's color match system and have taken the original paint sample card to this store. We have yet to receive paint that matches the original color which results in a complete repainting of the entire room. This has happened several times. Our most recent experience is because Lowe's does not carry the color we had purchased from this location. Other times, we were told the machine that mixes the paint needs recalibrated. This does not help us when we merely want to touch up a room. read more

I always write my review after having had time to cool off, hoping that the irritation and anger resolves with a bit of time. This, unfortunately, was not the case. We ordered a range online. I was given a confirmation number and waited to find out when the delivery day was going to be. We were not provided any day or time, so I then contacted the store, gave them our updated phone number and had another problem. The individual that answered the phone did not have any kind of clue about what should have been going on and just guessed at what we should do. When we asked her if we could count on her info being accurate, we were told "I don't know so all I can do is guess." She asked us questions about the order and delivery, but only to a minimum. She then informed us that we would have an $ 87 fee for delivery to the store. Due to the amount of the purchase, our delivery should be free and how the he** were we supposed to get the darn thing home?! She then informed us that she could set up delivery for yet another charge! We went around and around and I finally asked to a supervisor. The phone call was ended abruptly- they had hung up! I called back and again requested to speak to a manager and were then put on hold for more than 11 minutes. This was not acceptable. This individual was very impatient and in a hurry to get off of the phone with us. It was quite apparent that the first person (the woman) had informed this manager of "her side" of the story and had been biased in any communications with us. I know that this situation experience has gone on and on, but this was a completely heinous purchase/communication. After we were provided the date and delivery time my husband took the day off of work so he could be home when the range was delivered. We were given the standard 8am to 8pm; this was no problem. We waited and waited and waited and the range was never delivered and when we called them a short time after 8pm, we were informed that the order had been cancelled!! This was the same person that I had encountered as above. She couldn't tell me why it had been cancelled and when I asked her specific questions, and she just kept saying that she didn't know or were just not sure. My husband had called them earlier; we were told that the delivery was right on track. We then put on hold for an extended period of time and I was truly becoming irate. This was absolutely ridiculous!! We eventually had someone (a man whose name we did not get) come back onto the phone. We tried to explain to him why were so upset and he rudely kept saying that we did not pay for the stove over and over. After another extended period of time, he told us that there was a problem with the payment and the delivery was cancelled. When we asked why we were not notified we were told that they did call us and we had not answered. I then told him that we HAD updated the number the day after the order was placed and were told at that time that it was changed, which we were then told after all of this that the number was NOT actually changed. We were then finally told that there had been a problem with the bankcard. After all of this bacchanal, we were then told that they would deliver several days later if we resolved these "issues of payment". SO, this morning we called the customer care center and were put on hold AGAIN for more than 30 minutes! I kid you not- this last for slightly more than 30 minutes. We gave the payment information and were told that the payment issue had been resolved and the delivery would go through on Tuesday (not cancelled, only delayed.) On the phone with this lady, (the 30+ minute call) this person was outstanding with customer service and really calmed down a rather irate customer. She was pleasant and professional and this went a very l-o-n-g way in helping us to get the issue resolved. This person's name was Sherry and she could show a thing or two hundred to the actual store on customer service. You would think that having issue after issue they at the very least would have better customer service, even with an individual who was quite upset. Phone etiquette was unacceptable, every person that we talked to at the store was rude and were uninterested on customer service. Altogether, every employee from the store appeared to just not give a crap! When dealing with upset customers, you should give them time to vent and you should restate the problem (so the customer knows that you are listening "What I am hearing is ___". Apologize to the customer whether you feel that they are wrong or right. Be sincere with all interactions. It is this kind of person who should be working in a customer-based business and not strongly unprofessional person(s) that are showing a complete and utter lack of care for customer service. It is this last person (Sherry) at the customer call center that has truly changed our POV and calmed a very tense situation. Thank you Sherry!! You are AWESOME!!! read more

We bought a Samsung dishwasher from Lowes. After 5 months it stopped working. Called Lowes who said we had to go through Samsung. Called Samsung and they do NOT have any repairmen in the area. So after a month of bull finally got a ecoupon for the amount we paid. Found a replacement and was to be here by September 8th. Then got a text September 9th delivery. Got a call from Expo Logistics who received dishwasher and wanted to set up a delivery date. We said September 9th. Guy says we don't have any openings till October 25th. We have been on phone for 2 hours on hold trying to get permission for us to pick up dishwasher. It's 2 hours from us in Oakdale. Still nothing settled. Stay away from Samsung appliances from Lowes or anywhere up here. Very frustrating!!! read more

Between doors that were stuck and the fact that none of us thought the new fridge would fit into the space, they kept at it until it was in! Really and A + job and super friendly crew! read more

Customer service is not a high priority in this store. Waited for a salesperson to get off of the phone after about 5 minutes he did get off the phone . Never acknowledged I was there or anything just walked right away from me like I wasn't there. Even if he was busy he could have acknowledged me and said he would be back. I had purchased a stove from lowes in johnstown Pa. When the stove was delivered I was not told at time of purchase that it did Not come with the hook up ( gas stove). I had to run back out to lowes. Purchased the kit I needed came back home ONLY to for it had only one of the connectors I needed. So back our to lowes only to be told thats the way it comes so I had to purchase a separate set of flanges. This two items cost me another $50.00 which i was not informed upon purchase. And another thing on my first trip to purchase the hose kit it was not even in the section where I purchase the stove BUT on the other side of the store.i had not noticed this as my car was on the side of the garage. Inside the door was the box for the stove plus all the packaging material but I am not sure but I think they emptied all the Styrofoam they had in there truck because the amount in the box there would be no room for the stove.I NEVERE HAD ANYTHING DELIVERED WERE THE LEFT 5HE BOX PLUS ALL THE PACKING MATERIALS WITH OUT ASKING. I was just at the store on August 6, 2017. As usual the customer service is extremely lacking. I dealt with Sondra and Roscoe (manager) and there was a line at the and he just walked away and let Sandra deal with it so understandably she was very stressed and curt with her customers. Although I've shopped here 100 of times and never really had a problem, I must vent on my purchase a few days back of a portable Coleman Grill. After finding someone to help me with the purchase I ask about the amount of assembly required and was told it required very little and if I wanted the floor model that was already assembled I could have that one . The grille was in its up right position and needed to be unlocked into its folding and carrying position . After numerous attempts by myself to unlock it so I could take to the check out counter I asked the sales person who left me to wait in another customer if he could help , his answer was you should learn how to do it yourself because I can't be at all your tailgates . I was taken back by this a- hole . Sorry but even in Johnstown you would think jerks like this would not be employed where people skills are required . Service in certain departments can be hard to find sometimes, but push one of their cool little buttons, and it announces that a customer needs help in that department. Cashiers are mostly friendly, and if you're nice to them, you'll usually get the same in return. read more
