VERIFY ALL ONLINE AND PHONE ORDERS FROM HOME DEPOT, ESPECIALLY DURING CURBSIDE PICK UP TO AVOID BEING GIVEN INCORRECT PRODUCTS.
Good morning,
I wanted to inform you of an unpleasant visit I had at Home Depot in Hatillo, Puerto Rico. I placed an online order for Lanco Roof Sealant/reflective coating/energy saver 04/29/20. Upon receiving a call to set up a pickup appointment from home depot, I was never told about any issues with the SCU number and the product, (appt 40/30/20/ @ 10 a.m). Upon arriving today, they gave me the Lanco Roof sealant with a 10-year warranty and no reflective/energy saving. I verified the product, and it was not the same as I order. I explain to several workers and they tried to convince me that the product was correct. After showing my receipt and a picture of the product I purchased, they still insisted the sealant given to me is correct. An employee went to get the manager. I waited 20 minutes for a manager to come (Michelle). When Michelle arrived, she explained that they have no control of what's online and we would have to cancel the order and re-order it because the SCU number is not correct. I asked if they have the correct Lanco available and I was told no. Online showed yesterday 57 in stock, and today 37 in stock. My customer is not happy because I cannot complete his roof. It seemed like no one wanted to help me. This is so shameful. If this happened to me, I guess they did this to the other 20 customers that bought this product. The manager Michelle was very pleasant with me but when I told her to return the product; her demeanor change and she became very rude and hostile and stated" YOU WILL GET YOU CANCELLATION RECEIPT BY EMAIL," and walked away while I was talking to her. Unable to finish speaking with her, I told an employee I was not leaving without the cancellation receipt because if no one puts the cancellation in then it's like I took the product.
This was a complete waste of time. First Monday they screwed up my order and could not find it, and after an hour of waiting, they finally brought it to me. And now today. read more
