Handy not to have to drive to Toms River or Manahawkin. Staff sometimes not helpful. Asked where I could find deer netting. An employee stocking the area said he did not know. Turned out they were out of stock. He could have said that. Bought paint that needed to be stirred. What appeared to be manager said it would be a while and continued to stock paint shelves. I had to wait until the paint stirrer guy returned from wherever. Guess manager felt it was beneath him. Three foot rods and angle iron always mainly out of stock. I'm very upset with my experience I'm dealing with ordering custom cabinets from here! I wish I did my research we spent so much money on custom ordered cabinets and it's just been a shitty experience. I highly recommend not wasting your time and money on kraftmade cabinets from Home Depot do some research and go elsewhere! Spend your hard earned money at a more local place! ONE STAR IS WAY TOO MUCH BUT THERE IS NO MINUS STARS AS AN OPTION. Their support stinks. Called up to ask a question, since texting is always busy. Guy with accent says hello and said hold on I will get you help. Then I hear the phone ringing and a girl with an accent answers and said he was in Mexico, she transfers me again and the whole cycle begins again. Came in to get wall trim and have it cut. Finally found an employee, Rob, to help at the cutting center. He said we can do it ourselves at the DIY. Huh? Isn't that what the cutting center is for? Then he said our wood trim was plastic, which it wasn't, and had no bearing on still needing it cut. I said I wanted it cut on the machine cause it's a cleaner cut rather than the sloppy saw. He acted like we were asking him to cut a dozen pieces. Just two, Rob ya fugazy. Then he was very confused about measuring 14'. I don't even know what to say about the whole ordeal. Shame on you Home Depot, I wag my finger at you and I may not be using my pointer finger. I purchased a dishwasher, paid to have it installed only to have the delivery people tell me they could not install it because they felt it would be too difficult. So was I paying for an easy install? I was told they would leave the dishwasher and I could get someone else to install the device. These days we pay for more and get less. So I decided to refuse the order and to take my business elsewhere. I could not understand why it could not be installed. This is the second dishwasher I've purchased through them. The delivery person/installer had a whole bunch of reasons which all added up to the old adage "The dog ate my homework." Did I tell you I paid extra for installation? Bottom line..I took my business to a local appliance dealer where customer service really does matter. " BIG BOX STORE", I guess bigger isn't always better. read more

After spending almost 20,000 on a kitchen through home depot. I was forced to purchase a brand new refrigerator because my existing one would not fit. Kitchen was designed for a 36" fridge exactly at 36"s. come to find out it is industry standard to design openings at 36-1/2" because most refrigerators have what are known as bellies in them and stick out past spec'd measurements. (So much for a professional kitchen design.) Store manager johns solution? he doesn't have one because he's not a kitchen designer! But makes sure to tell me he's a problem solver. Corporates answer? $100 gift card. I will do my best to not spend another dollar at home depot. Bring as much business as you can elsewhere. read more

I went in looking to buy a truck box. I found the one I wanted but there was only a floor model. One of the customer service representative asked if he could help me. I told him I was looking for the specific box but I wasn't interested in the floor model on the ground level. There were plenty on one of the upper shelves above it. He looked at me and asked me why I didn't want the floor model. He asked if there was something wrong with it. I told him there wasn't anything wrong with it that I know of but it's the floor model and I preferred to get something from stock. He looked annoyed so I told him never mind and that I was sorry for Bothering him to do his job. I left and will buy the item on Amazon and not have to deal with crap like that read more

We are new homeowners and I've been in a Home Depot a lot since we moved in to get anything from lumber to hardware or garden stuff, etc.. All of the staff is great but one guy really hands down stands out, His name is Kevin and he's usually in the plumbing section ( I don't know his last name), he is the most knowledgeable and helpful every time I'm in the store.. He has helped me and not just in plumbing but on many other projects I have started here and offered other ways to go about what I'm doing or help me find what I'm looking for. I cannot stand Home Depot...They had a grill with a small smoker attached to it for $100 bucks, I purchased it Thursday morning and the lady at courtesty said the assembly was free and it would be ready sometime Friday and they said they would call me. Didn't call all day, I finally called them about 5:30pm and they couldn't find it; waited on the phone for about 20 mins and they finally found it and it was ready. My husband and son went to go and pick it up and the racks were missing, wheel fell off and not to mention the frigging attitude! So we ordered a new patio set on May 24th through Home Depot (online) the set was promptly delivered May 29th. We paid the extra money to have the set assembled, after numerous calls and false promises about the assembly date they finally show up on June 18th. The table came with 8 chairs however the hardware to assemble the chairs was missing for 4 out of the 8 chairs. So we were informed call Home Depot and have them send the missing hardware. Oh and by the way the assembler did not remove the now rain soaked cardboard boxes that the set came in. We go to Home Depot hoping to obtain the missing hardware oh no, instead we were rudely told that in all of Home Depot there were no hardware that could possibly be used to assemble the chairs and furthermore the set we ordered is no longer being made so we're out of luck. We asked to speak to the manager of the store hoping for a better resolve instead we were informed he couldn't help us because the set was ordered ONLINE (so buyer beware). We were told we could return the set, of course that would mean we could RENT a truck from Home Depot at our own expense and return the set. Not good customer service or even mediocre customer service! Finally no patio set for July 4th barbecue. read more
