This is my second time in the store with an issue first time was returning a product that the store had previously taken in as a return and didn't check so it had not a lot of pieces. The young lady and I use that term loosely at the customer service desk gave me a huge problem because I didn't have a receipt and it was my problem because they didn't check it and the stuff wasn't in there. So she went to the general manager who" told her just give it to him and make him get out! I have their names can't wait to publish them soon because something else just happened at this Home Depot not two or three weeks later I tried to use my military discount, but they didn't wanna honor it! Apparently their system has a glitch and even if you ask for your military ID discount, they say oh we can't give it to you even though you are a veteran and fought for all of us we can only give you a courtesy discount and at that point the associate gave me finger quotes like I am less than a person. I fought for this country and I earned I thought I did anyway what your store was giving me for my service, but instead you make me beg for it and make me feel small thank you Home Depot. I am in Evans, GA. I bought my son and his wife a stackable washer/dryer as a house warming gift in September, 2024, along with an extended warranty and it was delivered to them in Eden, NC. No less than 3 months later, the dryer's felt seal belt got caught in the drum, twisted and pulled away, rendering the dryer inoperable. Home Depot called a local repairman who because he didn't have a new seal, "reshaped" the old one and reinstalled the damaged felt eal. In less than a month, the felt seal belt caught in the drum AGAIN and the dryer wouldn't work. This time, Home Depot contracted with Sears Appliance to repair the felt seal. It has been over 6 weeks and 8 service appointments that no-showed or cancelled the morning of. Keep in mind my son and his wife had to take off from work each time to be there for the repairman who NEVER shows up. Today, the repair man came at 2:55pm (early) and said he would only wait 15 minutes. Of course he left before someone could speed over there. This is absolutely ridiculous. I am so disappointed with Home Depot. I was trying to get a price match from them for a solo stove as the solo retailers were selling it for $50 less than Home Depot. I read the website and it clearly says guaranteed low price. However when I try to order it online, they refuse to match the price saying that it was not a competitor but a retailer so I then found another low price at Lowe's, which was obviously matching solo and they agreed that yes they could match against LOWES however because I was using a store credit for an item that I had already bought And returned. They said that they could not use the store credit. I have to say Home Depot has been very disappointing in their customer service. I would definitely not recommend them. They need to very clearly define. What a guaranteed low price. They also need to understand that people do shop around and can find low prices. I never had a worse experience getting appliances. Here is the timeline of my experience after placing my order on 8/11/2023 and didn't get them until 9/20/2023. Here are the delivery attempts: August 14, 2023 - damaged pedestal so everything had to go back August 23, 2023 - forgot the washer nothing delivered Sept. 2, 2023 - Had trouble with the dryer door, but left appliances (no hook up) Sept. 5, 2023 - 2nd team came and couldn't fix dryer door. Had to re-order dryer Sept. 14, 3023 - cancelled delivery because of an "emergency". Said earliest delivery date is Monday My husband later received an email stating delivery will be made Monday, September 18th. September 18, 2023 - After not hearing from anyone this morning, I called HD and was told they didn't show a delivery today. He said if a delivery is scheduled, there is an all day window and they would call 30 minutes prior. My husband called later that day and the rep said we're scheduled for Wednesday. After explaining the situation she assured him that our appliance would be delivered today. Did not hear from HD. September 19,2023 - received a call saying that we are scheduled for Wednesday and they will be here between 7 AM and 11 AM. September 20, 2021 - Attached the door to dryer, but stated it couldn't put the door on opposite side as we wanted. They did hook up appliances. We can finally wash at home after having to go to the laundromat for over a month. I will never use them again!!! read more

The Home Depot has come a long way in recent years. It seems like the quality and selection of products offered is much better that others. Prices are fair and there are many times that its is a deal. The most important thing is that you are spoken to, asked if you need help and these people really care. Customer service exists in the Augusta GA location and the 1 store in Evans GA. These store are always well stocked and neat and clean. Every. single. Time I come here, I am looking for paint. Because there's only two options, the crappy service at Lowe's paint department or the crappy service at Home Depot. I come here to the paint department, the service is terribly slow. I wouldn't mind it being slow if someone even looked up and acknowledged you were waiting, like hey, be with you shortly. But nothing. This last time, there's one person working and another one who spent 15 mins catching up with people. She wasn't talking paint, but about the movies and other random crap. For the 2nd time in as many weeks, we've asked for an employee to come to the lumber section to cut some material. Each time we had to go back to the register to re-paige a lumber associate again when no one showed after the first 10 minutes. Both times, we waited another 10 minutes but still, no one showed. After a total of 40 minutes of my life waisted, over two trips, to get the same material, the odds of me going back for a third time are slim to none. Store management should know that having only a single employee (That's what I was told) to work a large, 7-aisle section (lumber) is nonsensical. That person has to take breaks, and in any event, can only help one customer at a time. If it happens once, I'm pretty forgiving (stuff happens). When it happens on consecutive trips, it's a systemic issue. The only logical conclusion is that they're intentionally short-staffing the store during off-peak hours to save money on salaries (and the customers be dammed!). Rest assured that I'll take my business elseware (and Home Depot be dammed). read more

Oh. My. Freaking. Lord. It's hard enough maneuvering around a giant home improvement store without having to deal with incompetent staff. I came to Home Depot to rent a Rug Doctor and what should have been a quick in and out transaction took over 30 minutes. 30 minutes? Why? Because the woman behind the counter didn't know how to work the computer and put my information in. She wouldn't ask anyone for help and as the line behind me grew longer and longer, many employees would pass by and nothing would progress. I finally had to tell her I had to walk away so I could check in on my poor dog and her supervisor stepped in after coming in from break. As soon as the supervisor stepped in, my transaction took all of 3 minutes. The issue? The initial customer service clerk didn't notice my ID wasn't a Georgia ID and thus tried cramming in too many numbers and letters in a block meant for a Georgia ID slot. I had a horrible experience. When i purchased my equipment on Sunday may 2, i asked the young lady questions about returning and my window of return. I also asked her if for whatever reason i didn't like could i return. She gave me my window and didn't say anything about the product had to be in a box. She actually told me to open the box on delivery and check to make sure there were no dings and scratches. My dishwasher was delivered on Saturday may 8. I opened the box to ensure no damage and the dishwasher was installed and never uses because i had someone come over and tell me my dish washer hose was bad. I called and spoke with Phillip the manager and he said because there was no box and he couldn't resell it, then i couldn't return it. Who has $600 to throw away. My wife was treated very badly at this Home Depot. A check out man at the return desk spoke to her very disrespectfully. When she asked to speak to a manager she talked with a associate manager who tried to help but called in the store manager, a woman. The manager took the employees side and would not consider the apology that my wife was requesting for being treated so badly. She was trying to return a $4 can of paint on her way in to purchase a $300 chandelier. We have the paint they would not take it back. We did not purchase the new light. INCOMPETENT, DESTRUCTIVE, DISHONEST -- Home Depot contracted Stone interiors, LLC as its service provider to install quartz countertops in my kitchen. This company is so incompetent that they literally ruined the product I paid for. In addition, they left exposed razor blades in my kitchen, damaged a $2000 console, and refuse to admit liability. I tried working with them regarding the countertops and gave them multiple opportunities to correct the work they'd done, but every time someone came out, they just made it worse! They couldn't get the seams right (dark, nicotine yellow on a white countertop) and left adhesive/epoxy all over the place. They sent someone out to try and correct that issue, and he manually sanded certain areas, which altered the actual surface of the material so it's horribly streaked and inconsistent. My product is under warranty. Home Depot is so shady they expect me to allow this same service provider that caused the problems in the first place back into my home. Really??? The first time I went to Home Depot was a few days after Christmas to try to look for and order blinds for my new house. It's now February 7th, I have paid $2,400 - AND I STILL HAVE NO BLINDS IN MY HOUSE. I need three types of blinds in my house. I ordered the first two soon after my first visit to Home Depot. I paid for them at the time of order, and it didn't take long to get the confirmation email that they had arrived at the store. The guys at the store told me I had to have a separate company come measure AGAIN for the third type of blind. I waited for over two weeks and tried calling the store again several times. The guys in the store kept telling me that "the person at this company would call me". They even gave me that person's phone number. I called them and left this "person" three messages and texted them. That person then finally called me back and told me they weren't the right company. I called the guys in the store back and told them that. Then they found another person they said would call me. Who, again, did not. It was over a week before this other person called me. Then another week before they could come to the house to do the (second) measure. Once he finally got to my house, he gave me a price for four blinds as almost $2,000, which was WAY over the rough estimate the store had given me for this type of blind (half window plantation shutter blinds). I mentioned that I was so frustrated because now I have to get another quote from another company to compare and I will also have to wait LONGER to get ALL my blinds installed - due to the $299 install fee having to cover the costs of all blinds installed AT THE SAME TIME. He told me that his install fee is DIFFERENT than the store install fee and had nothing to do with that. So, great, another install fee AND the guys in the store told me that it all had to be done at once so I'd been waiting several weeks when I could have had my other blinds ALL INSTALLED ALREADY. I called the store again and asked them to do the install ASAP. They told me I had to PICK UP ALL MY BLINDS first or pay a delivery fee. Seriously? This was never mentioned before this point and I believe should have been mentioned when I paid the $299 install fee. How does blinds installation NOT cover the cost of transporting the blinds I ordered FROM THEM to my house? The guys at the store told me they put the installation request in the computer and someone will call me to schedule the install date. crickets. no surprise right? Then, I call again a few days later, and I am told THE EXACT SAME thing. crickets. I call over a week later, and someone (this morning) told me I HAVE TO BE THE ONE TO CALL THE INSTALL COMPANY. Wow, what a different story. So, I call them and leave a message. Luckily I get a call back and they just scheduled an install date. Hopefully that works out and it is next week but who knows at this rate. So, at this point I have a hopeful install date for some of the blinds for my house, but have no idea how to get the third type of blind and will still have to pay a separate install fee once I find a company to come out and measure (a third measure!), produce/make, and then install them. Which, I'm guessing will be WEEKS more of waiting. So, I'd advise to not use Home Depot in Evans to get your blinds. If you were confused reading all of these details in this review, imagine what its like to be me and have lived it. This store is full of people spewing information that they don't know and no one knows what is going on or how to get things done. UPDATE: Had blinds installed soon after last post (last post was on February 7th). However, the next day I realized two blinds were insanely crooked and have been TRYING SINCE THAT TIME to have these two defective blinds replaced. That is TWO MORE MONTHS OF DEALING WITH THIS SHIT. Spoke to the manager of Home Depot a few weeks ago who is the only sane person I've run into there. 1-She said the guy at the blinds counter told her I ORDERED THE BLINDS myself on his computer and clicked through the program. what??? This kid is crazy and I told her he is lying to her face and she should fire him. How would I even know how to use their ordering system? WTF? 2- I told Wendy that this install woman (PLANTATION SHUTTERS who Home Depot contracts to do this work) - is terrible. She literally has dementia I honestly believe. She was supposed to come multiple times and never got in contact with me when she said she would. She lied to Wendy (manager of Home Depot) that she had been leaving me messages after the replacement blinds came in. Then, weeks ago, Wendy orchestrated a 1pm replacement blind install for today with Linda.....I got a call on my ring doorbell today at 11:45 am saying that they were here to install the blinds. My husband and I went into the Evans Home Depot tonight to look for a fridge. We found one we absolutely loved, so we walked over to the appliance's desk where two employees were sitting. The minute we walked over to them, the one guy looked at us and then looked away. My husband had to say "Excuse me." The man and woman looked at us.... and we said we just had a few questions about the fridge and delivery process and the guy just stared at us and nodded. So we asked a few questions and he answered them as quickly and bluntly as possible, all while rolling his eyes at us, and looking bored out of his mind talking to us, as to say "How dare you two ask me questions at my job!" And as we were asking a question, the woman sitting with him just starts talking to him in the middle of my husband speaking! I couldn't even believe it. They did not get up to talk to us or even go look at the fridge we wanted. They did not have ANY customer service whatsoever and I have never felt so disrespected by an employee at a store in my life. I am just appalled that Home Depot could have even hired these two people. I went to Home Depot with my 84 yr. old Mother-in-Law on 520 N. Belair Rd. In Evans, Ga. 30809 to buy a new dishwasher. We had planned on paying cash / check for our purchase, but the sales lady for the dishwasher offered us a discount if we opened up a Home Depot credit card. My Mom-in-law and I stood for at least 10 minutes while the sales lady was on the phone about the Home Depot card. I then found a chair for my Mom-in-law and we waited another 25 minutes only to be told that it couldn't be done for whatever reason. The sales lady then escorted us to a young white lady cashier with pink hair and ponytails to complete our cash / check transaction. My Mom-in-law wrote a check for the dishwasher and for Home Depot to install and it took another 15 minutes on the phone for the cashier to tell us she was having a problem getting through to verify the check. By this time, we had been waiting 50 minutes - half of the time standing with my Mom-in-law with a cane. The pink haired-pony tail cashier then starts to explain why it's taking so long to verify s check. I tell the cashier, "okay just verify the check...we've been waiting almost an hour already." This young girl tells me to calm down. Granted we've been standing around for almost an hour in this time of Covid-19 with our masks on; however, the cashier didn't have a mask on, nor did a lot of the employees at that store. Also, they're wearing yellow tags on their uniforms stating, "we're practicing social distancing - please stay 6 ft away from me," but then they walk right up on you almost touching you with no mask on. By this time I am fuming over the attitude the cashier just gave me telling me to "calm down." I said, "we can just go somewhere else," and immediately the cashier pushes our check over to us. "Well if that's what you want to do." Really? I said, "let me talk to your manager," but by then I felt so disrespected by this cashier and uncomfortable for the lack of social distancing by their employees or lack of wearing a mask that I just wanted to get out of there. My Mom-in-law has always preferred Lowe's over Home Depot, but I have always preferred Home Depot over Lowe's. Not anymore! You really disappointed me Evans, Ga. Came by 3 times in 2 weeks wanting to buy EGO cordless blower with my $200 gift card my daughters gave me for my birthday. Store said will be in Wed, 6 on back ordered. Came in Friday after checking inventory on line, showing 1. Got to store, none available. Went to Customer Service asking to get refund on GC. They don't refund GC. Customer Service called guy in dept for him to look for blower. He never looked, was busy in back unloading inventory. Asked to speak to Store Manager, but got a Lead instead. The lady said no refund on Gift Card. I asked why is it so hard to keep a popular in stock & not know when it will come in. She started to belittle me by saying "you do understand we don't make these items. We just sell them. We have no control over the manufacturers." I replied "no control even though Home Depot is the exclusive retailer for EGO products? A big chain like Home Depot has no influence over EGO?". She couldn't find the item in stock, checked back order and told me maybe next Wednesday. I said that's what they told me last week. She then checked on line & they were back ordered too with a date in late July. Then she told me that theirs should come in about same time. Earlier she also said that you order the stuff on line, why come to the store & give them a hard time right. I did check inventory on line before I came to buy the item, I'm a paying customer. We as military service members did not have a great experience with home depot - 1st issue was that home depot advertises a military discount - i bought a big ticket item and i was told that the military discount does not apply for it??? Does not seem to be any rhyme or reason that the employee could say for this. We also had an issue with delivery of another group of items where they forgot one of the items. We called and they said they will provide "white glove" service to make up for it ( supposedly deliver and set it up) - unfortunately the delivery company does not know white glove from a dirty glove - because we were told they only deliver between 10 and 2 M-F and they certainly don't set anything up! We ended having to pick up the items, haul it home and set it up ourselves - white glove indeed! read more
