Poor management. Flooring supervisor told me he would get back to me twice and never called. I keep trying to contact and get ignored. Assistant store manager said it was my fault that my carpet was the wrong measurement and that I signed off on it. If I knew how to measure I would have done my own carpet installation. Tried using their tile installation service. The first staff was not aware that bathroom walls and floors were two separate estimates. After working this out, I waited weeks without getting a quote for the shower walls. Made many, many calls and finally had a quote a couple of months after requesting it. The quote was 3-4X higher than what is reasonable for the area. It was around $60-$65 a square foot. The dept. manager thought it was high and went to a higher-up. They looked into it and stayed with over $4,600 for tile installation only on the 3 walls around the tub. This was not hardie board, thin set, or the tile itself. Just the installation. Do yourself a favor and do not even consider Home Depot for tile installation. read more

Bought a couple hundred dollars of sod yesterday from Home Depot. When the lawn guy unrolled it and put it in my yard it was horrific. All the grass was brown and jelly. Wet & rotting. There is no hit a viable sod. I spoke with a manager at Home Depot immediately by phone. He would offer no refund unless I rolled it back up put it my car and brought that crap back. I was totally shocked I told him to unroll any better Sidey, has in his garden center and take a look himself. Never heard back. I'll never buy sod from Home Depot again. Nothing consistent here at all - except lack of consistency. There is plenty of parking, but be careful where you park as you might end up checking out at the opposite end of the store as where you parked. On a nice day this is not a problem - on a rainy day - you get wet! The staff here are sketchy - by that I mean - sometimes you get someone who knows their name and other times you get stuck with someone who didn't even realize they were at work! There use to be an excellent guy in the garden selection, not the kids working back there don't know anything about plants - don't ask! Though there is a wide selection of almost everything - sometimes finding it in this store is troublesome. They have an entire isle of cleaning supplies, but the one thing you won't find there - not even next to toilet bowl cleaner is Drainer or anything to unplug a drain - no - that's in isle 8 six isles away - ingenious if you ask me. Some of their clearance items are more expensive then any where else. Pricing is a game it seems at this store. Returns however are very easy and they NEVER give you a hard time. You don't even need your receipt if you used your Home Depot credit card! There is always a special running that allows you to pay in 3 months, 6 months or more depending on how much you spend - so make sure you check that out and use your HD credit card! Today's plant selection was poor though and very disappointing - tomorrow it's a trip to the greenhouse for sure! read more

So I went in the home Depot and bought a washer dryer for 1925 brought the washer home cuz the dryer was not available yet it was going to be delivered the washer I paid someone to deliver and professional people to set it up and the washer didn't work within 2 hours I went back to home Depot and said call the warranty people I call them they said it doesn't matter if you pick it up or we deliver it within 48 hours home Depot supposed to take care of it well no didn't have so one of their assistant managers Dan said the warranty department was wrong about it was home depot's responsibility within 48 hours delivery was not done by delivery you delivered it at warranty said doesn't matter who delivered it it's their responsibility so the next day I went in tried to get a hold of manager and after two attempts because I had to pay somebody to set it up the washer and take it down which cost me $250 I went in and asked the manager they would reimburse cuz I'm returning everything so no won't do it okay long story short I want my money back turned around he told me because it was big order it could have pay me back they had to send me a check to three to four weeks I paid them cash I wanted cash back finally after another 10 hours it came up with the cash they said the store didn't have that kind of cash by hand went to Lowe's had a perfect experience but washer dryer they loaded it home run and the only thing I can say is stay clear of home Depot buying any appliances or big purchases Lowe's is a place to go people at home Depot that I respect our people behind the desk and the workers not management not assisted managers terrible never go back to home Depot 3 days trying to get money back after 2 hours installing my new washer didn't work and they wouldn't listen to me adios take care we'll never come back read more

There store is usually nice and clean. There customer service is good not great but better then most. They are alittle more expensive then some other stores. They do deliver to you though if you cant pick up your items. read more

I was VERY UNHAPPY today! I stopped in today to pick up some charcoal that is on sale. I asked 3 different store employees for help lifting, one young lady made 2 phone calls to find some assistance...no one was available. I could wait no longer I was on my way to work, as I left the store there was 3 more employees standing around with "nothing to do" a total of 6 employees and no customer service available! read more

OK, 2 issues, one just today, the other ongoing. First the ongoing, this is the only Home depot, the one in Dunkirk, NY, I've been in where ALL the registers are at the far end of the store, which also happens to be the Contractors pickup. You can imagine what that zoo is like. The only exception is when the Garden center is open, but that's seasonal, and often doesn't open before 8 to 8:30 AM. I have complained at the store to no avail. The second issue was today. I checked out 3 items at the garden center. It was my mistake, I didn't ask for my Veteran's discount. I mentioned it to the girl at the check-out and she replied that there was nothing she could do about it. Bull feathers! She could have easily marked the items as a return and then rechecked them out. It wasn't impossible nor difficult, she was just LAZY. I did not go to the manager, though I probably should have. read more
