Dad knew I was in Fredonia and wanted me to stop at Valu to pick up a rake for him. Knowing his birthday is quickly approaching, I stopped into Valu and parked in their decent-sized, clean, parking lot and headed into the store. I was greeted by an employee on the sales floor and asked if I needed help finding anything. The rake was at the front of the store so I was able to find it quickly and on my own. I decided to also pick up a metal screen of sorts for my bathtub in hopes it'll collect some of my hair that never seems to stop shedding, particularly in the shower. Nothing makes me want to puke more than cleaning that drain. Here's where the sales employee was great. He knew exactly what I wanted and led me right to it. They had a couple options, too. This is a relatively tiny store but apparently with decent options. There was a bit of a hold up at the register but I wasn't in a hurry. I purchased 2 Storm Doors and paid to have them installed. They were working inside my garage and the work itself was fine, BUT, much to my surprise, apparently they'll only take the old doors for disposal if you ask them to. Bad on me for assuming they would take the old doors. Make sure if you pay for ANY installed products purchased there, you read all the fine print and make your needs CLEARLY known. Now I'm stuck, without a pickup truck, trying to dispose of two 6 foot Storm doors, not an easy task these days. read more

This might not be the biggest and best store - but it certainly has some great deals from time to time. The staff at this location are amazing and it's always a nice place to shop. Well organized - plenty of selection and pricing will suit anyone's budget. There is always some crazy little gadgets too - nice stocking stuffers or little birthday gifts! Great staff and great prices. Don't have to search and search to find someone to tell you where something is. Just bought their best TV stand/console and it is solid wood for only 169.95...a fantastic deal. Then got a rolling rack for clothes for a very reasonable cost of 19.95. It is so sturdy and easy to assemble I went back and got 3 more. Very nice people and like one reviewer said, always plenty of places to park. read more
