I remember buying a Boyd Bear one time with my allowance. Over Thanksgiving, we decided to stop by for the first time in quite a while! Have to say, a lot of it seems very familiar and I am always impressed on how much they can get in there and how it is organized/decorated. A lot of care goes into it. I don't really recommend it for strollers/those with mobility issues/small children as the aisle spaces can be narrow and much in reach to accidentally be bumped. The rooms just keep on going and take up even more of the plaza than I remember! Most all of the items seem like they are of really good quality. I would say in general things are a bit pricey for Jamestown, but there are various price points and many things to buy in various price ranges. As per the name, most items have a more rustic/country/antiqued look to them. This isn't really my mom or my decorating style, but we still found items that we liked. They carry everything from curtains, lamps, wall art, pillows, quilts, decorative containers, candles, ornaments and more for home decor. There was also a large Vera Bradley section, as well as some other bags and accessories with a bit of a vintage/historical flair. If you are driving through the area, it is a neat place to check out that carries a lot of different things that you won't find at the big box stores.

A live auction of multiple glass collections was occurring in a large area in the back of the store. It looked like they would be there all day until I heard the auctioneer rattling off the items. He sold 3 items in less than 5 minutes. Seventy different vendors showcase their collections. It is obvious that the store's owner has high presentation expectations. You can see each item in display cases. The store isn't cluttered or smell musty. The store doesn't accept AE and I didn't have a check. The store owner called the vendor who accepted Paypal. The vendor delivered my purchase to my hotel. I spent about an hour wandering through this store ... delightful.

Well - this seems like the way Antique places are heading - where it's not just one antique store,…read morebut rather a bunch of little areas within that have items from various antique vendors. It's not a bad idea and not the only place like this that I've shopped, but the pricing in here seemed to be higher than most placed I've been to. The selection is huge, but sometimes the stuff inside really might have been better tossed out. I also don't like areas where there is stuff for sale and stuff not for sale - get the not for sale stuff out of the selling area - this is just a poor business practice. Turns out that I found two items that I wanted - one was a simple canoe paddle that was well over my spending limits and the other item wasn't for sale :(

The house is painted in a bright blue but what stands out is the polka dot garage door and the lopsided barbecue in the back.
