She asked for my phone number and found my profile. She didn't say "Yes, I need to see the coupon". I assumed (shame on me) she applied the $10 off. I load the plants, look at my receipt and the $10 off was not applied. She applied a different discount which was less than $10. I walked back and by now there is a line. In order to apply the coupon, she had to return all the items (enter each one) and then ring the sale again. I will not be back to the Denton location.

First, many plants are unlabeled (one salvia was simply labeled as "blue" salvia. I learned my colors before kindergarten. I assume most people do not need to be told the color of a plant). Second, absolutely nothing is labeled as native or non-native to Texas. Third, many plants are not priced. Fourth, they sell MANY invasives - including tropical milkweed. I find the fourth reason to be the most appalling and indicative of unethical nursery business practices. Shame on them. Businesses and consumers have a choice. Choose better.

The only reason I tried Noles is because it was closer to my house for the transport of the rock and their website and staff proclaim the cost for 1 cubic yard of river rock is $90. Which is within a few dollars of what I paid at the other establishment for 1 cubic yard. However, the problem is, Noles only gives you half of the amount of product that that other provider does. I have since gone back to the competitor 2 more times and have received the same amount of rock as the first time I frequented them for the $95 they advertise. Which is double what you would get from Noles even though they advertise they will give you the same amount. Once again, the cost is relatively the same both places. I verified with not only the gentlemen that loaded the rock at Noles but also the gentlemen that sold me the rock that this was the correct amount given to. They both said yes. So, moral of the story is do not go to Noles because you will get ripped off. They will only give you half the amount of product they advertise you are obtaining and pay for.

We have shopped here for a good while and spent a good deal of money at this nursery. They have a good variety and have had good success with our plants. We purchased 3 shrubs (plant in ground) and 3 plants (container) to go around our pool. Within 30 days, despite our effort to help them, they started to brown and drop leaves. We continued to try and help them rally but they continued to die. At about 60 days we took them back to find they only offer 7 day return policy. No store credit, no refund--nothing. This was a total of $200 gone. We have never been told of their policy for returns, it's "on the receipt". All other places we have bought from have a return of 6-12 months. We were shocked and saddened to see their response -- which we were told is because we hand water, no irrigation system and therefore had zero chance of any form of return service. We will not return and hope this helps others not make the same mistake as us.

It's since moved to the other extreme end of the large parking lot, near the Denton Movie Tavern; the friendliness must have been "Baked in," because going to Day's Ace is like going back into the good old days, when physical problems around the home could easily be resolved by making a quick run to Denton Center.
