Not sure what it is but I feel that this Home Depot is bigger than most of the other Home Depot locations. Or maybe the ceiling is very high up or something. I noticed that they make good use of all the walls or possible walls to display items. I came here looking at toilets, tubs and faucets. Staffs are helpful. I was just looking and getting a sense of what styles or brands are out there and I was asked by one of their people if I needed help Parking lots is huge here. But of course this Home Depot is located in an industrial area. This Home Depot shares the same parking lot with Triple O and Starbucks. This Home Depot has Subway inside. I bought a dishwasher and paid for installation. I can understand that it took a week for the dishwasher to be installed and I can understand that it took. Further week for installation. What I don't understand is when the dishwasher was found to be defective after installation Home Depot put in zero effort to rectify the situation. The installation person (Home Depot contracted a 3rd person and didn't tell me until after they delivered the dishwasher) just told me to phone costumer service and they will fix everything. Did I mention that the dishwasher just runs non-stop, so I have to switch the breaker off to half my kitchen to keep from wasting power and water 24/7. I phone and am told nothing. They give me a reference number and say they will get back to me, which they don't for hours so I have to phone again. The second call they tell me nothing again. I explain how they crippled my kitchen again and ask for them to at least do something about that and once again I am told they will get back to me. This is basically because they put a phone person who cannot and will not help anyone and keep customers far away from anyone who can problem solve. This means that even in an emergency Home Depot has set their system up so that it is impossible for them to help in any way. After phoning 3 times, this phone person tells me it will take 10 days to get a new washer. read more

The bathrooms were exceptionally clean also! I didn't end up purchasing anything as they didn't have what I was looking for, but I certainly would come here if I did need to buy something from Home Depot ! Very impressed ! read more

Wow, they have a Home Depot out here. Parking is available in the nice large lot out front. The location is quite similar to most other places in town. The consistency is nice, as one pretty much knows where to go for certain items, regardless of store location. I was in and out in minutes. Staff are friendly, and for the most part, helpful. read more

As typical, good service when you walk in with a couple host/ess there to ask what you need; just the challenge of tracking someone down when you're at the aisle. This store has plenty of parking, is spacious, well lit & amply stocked with plenty of friendly staff ready & willing to quickly direct you around the aisles to find whatever one needs in terms of building materials or supplies to fix all the liitle or big fiddle around jobs that crop up throughout one's home. In my case it was picking up some plastic cable wire clips for installing LED string lights on my fascias, finding rebar tie wire for attaching our new xmas tree to some screws in the wall of the living room and last but most important finding the very last $9.99 three foot high Tacoma Pine xmas tree in stock up high on the store's upper aisle racks for a friend, Anne, whose cozy and clean modern condo decor needed a little je ne sais quoi in the form of some vividly colourful xmas charm and cheer, like everyone else at this time of year in December, but in a smaller tree not taking up a lion's share of her valuable living room floor area... The branches have to be folded out however one finds them to be most aesthetically pleasing and the three support legs fastened on the bottom but it looked fine when done considering the alternative from the competition was $35-70 more...Then, I headed 3 minutes away across lougheed hwy to the maillardville Dollarama beside real Canadian Superstore, maillardville to pick up some shiny xmas ornaments including balls, bells, berries, drums, frostie the snowmen, garlands, tinsel, etc and other tree trinkets to decorate it with... Inexpensive smaller trees with dollar store decor can radiate Christmas cheer just as well as $150 real noble fir trees with hand crafted ornaments, it all depends on how much TLC and effort one puts into it...! PS there's a small white spot located at one corner of the parking lot. What's better than a legendary hamburger platter and a real chocolate shake before working around the house...? read more

In Aug 2013 we purchased a Samsung refrigerator from Home Depot and bought the "Home Depot" branded Extended Service Plan. Comerco looks after the maintenance coverage for appliances purchased through Home Depot. In reality, they are simply a call centre and have outsourced their warranty repair service to a company called Transglobal Service. Home Depot, Comerco and Transglobal do not care about the customer or customer satisfaction. In January 2015 (17 months later) the fridge stopped working and we contacted Comerco. You cannot contact Home Depot - only Comerco through the Home Depot branded brochure. It took SIX weeks of multiple service calls, a replaced compressor, Freon recharging, and soldering of pipes for Transglobal to get the fridge operating again. In the meantime, we had spoiled food, the technician dented the fridge door, and both the fridge and our kitchen were coated in black soot from his soldering. In January 2016, just 12 months later, the fridge stopped working again. Once again Comerco was contacted and Transglobal dispatched. It was determined that multiple electronics had failed and parts needed to be ordered. We waited three weeks for parts to arrive and this week (4 weeks later) the Transglobal technician installed the new parts. It was the technician's opinion, as a former employee of Samsung, that this model of Samsung fridge is a lemon and that there is an internal leak which cannot be repaired. Despite this, he went on his way and our fridge is still not able to cool to below 10 degrees celcius. We have reported the ongoing problem to Comerco and Transglobal. The earliest a technician can be dispatched is 5 days from now. That will be week 5 without a fridge and no one cares!!!! We have escalated the matter with Comerco and Transglobal multiple times and they stick to their company line. No replacement unless it cannot be fixed, a part needs to be replaced three times before they replace the fridge, no loaner and no service level agreement with respect to when it must reasonable be returned to operating condition. Purchasing an appliance and maintenance plan through Home Depot has turned out to be a very bad decision and I would never buy an appliance through Home Depot again. They do not care about the customer at all. read more

Really disappointed with the customer service at this location. Boyfriend got double charged for a BBQ after asking the cashier if she was double charging him after her till froze. She confirmed that no he would no be. Next day checked and he was charged double for the BBQ. Went back and they couldn't refund his double charge. They would take his number and call tomorrow when they called they said they needed print out of the bank statement. Brought in the statement and still nothing was done and they told him they would take a photocopy and get back to him as the person he talked to wasn't in the store. Waited over a week for the refund which was Home Depots mistake. More communication needed. Will be going to Rona! read more

I have a bit of a love hate relationship with Home Depot (too many home renovations!) and this location in particular inspires the hate aspect. All product offering is standard for Home Depot, from paint to toilet repairs to luxury kitchens you can find anything for some DIY here; my issue has always been 1. finding someone to help me and 2. finding someone who knows what they are talking about to help me. Although i know staff is likely hobby-handy-men as opposed to say finish carpenters, I sometimes struggle to get assistance at all, and they have misadvised my fiance and I on more than one occassion. I will note that they are very friendly and courteous at the customer service desk and will rectify errors. On instance that really irritated me was prior to a bathroom redo I was in the store with my fiance to purchase all of our supplies (expensive trip right), and they refused to let us walk around with one tool in our cart (a wrench of some sort, it was worth $40, we had an easy $300 already in our cart). I understand they have to focus on loss prevention, however it was a large tool and we clearly were not there to rob anything. Overall... they will have everything to help you with your home reno needs, but I suggest looking for the information you need prior to departing to this location. read more

I LOVE wandering the halls of Home Depot. Yes, I said Halls and not Aisles lol. I am constantly trying to find inexpensive items that can make my rental place look nicer than the 80s look it had when we moved in. This past weekend I found items that I can use to make my toilet dual flush and a proper dimmer switch for my CFLs. All for under $50 which is a great price for Home Depot. I am also wanting to add inexpensive wall splashes to my little kitchen and the cost at Home Depot is insane. It's like they expect everyone to have an unending budget which we don't. I will be going tile shopping somewhere else but it never hurts to stop and take a look. read more

I guess those guys don't work there anymore. Prices are not particularly good for a company known for low prices in this sector. I guess they get by on past reputation. It's nice for one stop for all trades shop, but staff in your respected departments, educate yourself on the products you have. Pretty good location with bus stop further away but still at walking distance and lots of parking spaces. A clean and well organized Home Depot and malapropism of the staff are all very helpful and knowledgeable to a degree, and if they don't know they don't pretend they know something..they will direct you to someone they think can really help. Very good service and attitude and depend speed. Always quite a few people but not too over crowded so lines aren't usually super long. Mostly like a 2-5 mins wait. read more

My husband and I came in on a Sunday night 15 minutes before close, because we thought they were open until 10pm (our silly mistake). We had to order all the lumber to build a new deck in order to have it delivered on the Tuesday. We went to the customer service desk to place our order, and I honestly expected an annoyed employee and a very difficult transaction. But instead, the customer service rep Brett, gave us the complete opposite experience. He quickly looked up exactly what we needed from the lumber department, set up delivery, and we were paid and out of there by ten after close. While helping us, he had numerous other employees coming up to ask him questions and get help with something, and he never got annoyed or angry with them. He would just casually answer their questions and continue on, so smooth! He is extremely knowledgeable and a great multi-tasker. The service from every other employee I've dealt with in this store, pales in comparison to Brett's. We frequent this location for our home renos, and that isn't going to change anytime soon! read more

Walking in big hall ways and looking at products could be fun. Its like window shopping. However, if your looking to ask few question you would need to wonder twice as hard, as the staff are limited. Once you do find someone who can help you then you wonder if they have any idea on the tools you are asking questions about. I've bought 3 palm sanders, and found my guys at work having huge issues, as the product tent to fail. I've had this product replaced 3 times and am not looking forward of replacing them again. So home owners, if your about to do a small project and need to sand down some wood, it might be better to take your project out side the store and start it, as you can find your self spending more on gas then products or equipment's. My girlfriend and I went here this evening and had a great experience! One young dude climbed up to grab us a garbage can with zero complaints. He took it out and showed us everything about it. He was SUPER helpful. Then the paint lady (an older caucasian lady) was very friendly and funny and helped us out with plenty of enthusiasm. Very much got the impression she enjoyed working there. Then Betty 'boop' was our cashier. She was full of smiles and laughter and she was just super friendly. She made our day and was just so happy to help us. We talked to three people within about half an hour and all three were happy, friendly and amazing. We will go out of our way to shop at the Coquitlam Home Depot from now on. Keep your staff! A star is too many for this place. Hubby and I visited this place and saw a patio table , chairs and ottomans. We asked a lady by the name of Barb. She was very helpful and said she would tell her manager , which I believe she did. Anyways no call from the manager then I called to see why he didn't get back to us . I spoke with Barb again and she put another note on the managers desk.... still no call , since this is the nearest Home Depot to us we returned once more and lowen behold, I run into Barb again, she actually remembered my name.. so we had a chat and I told her that her manager never called us. She told me she left 2- notes for him ... as far as I'm concerned Barb did an awesome job, she deserves an excellence reward!! As for her manager ... well he should go and work at Macdonald's slinging hamburgers in the back room , he should not be the manager and if it weren't for the fact that this place was not so close to out residents I would not go there ... The staff in this home depot has some weird attitude problem. It appears that the staff are unhappy, unhelpful and give zero courtesy. First incident : I was getting a bag of cement. They blocked off the whole aisle for restocking. I waited there 15 minutes but I did not see anyone is working. I opened the gate and grab a bag of cement. On my way to cashier, a female staff chasing me down from the back, telling me I violated WCB rules and I will get into trouble. (Never heard WCB has a special task force to hunt down retail customers) I just keep walking towards the cashier and she finally gave up. A haunting experience! Second incident : Bought a Chamberlain garage door opener which is on sale during Xmas. I asked the staff there on some details on the installation of the rail. The staff told me if you ask anymore questions, I am going to charge you consulting fee. Later that day I called Chamberlain customer service, problem solved without asking me for consulting fee. Third incident: Getting a 3M Airborne Microparticle Reduction Filter for my furnace. Stupid me I talked to their staff again. I saw a filter without the plastic wrapping so i offered to buy it off at half price. It's okay the staff declined my offer. But her reason being it's not completely damaged so it is still good for sale. Seems like they would rather to have their damaged product to rot than making a deal with their customer. Maybe it's too much responsibility to make a deal? Completely contradicts my experience with other home depots. Too bad this one is close to me. read more

Home depot carry's everything you need from home renovation to appliances, bathroom decorating ideas, kitchen remodeling, patio furniture. Let me tell you the power tools are great here they sell a whole variety of tool brands here. They're prices are a lot more affordable than buying power tools from the manufacturer! The staff are what make home depot stand out the most. They are very welcoming, and ask if i ever need help. The wide shopping aisle and check out lanes are fast and efficient. Even to the little bit details like the big bright orange price labels make my shopping experience a lot easier and enjoyable. Again the people skills from the staff are excellent. Being in construction management I find Home Depot serves me well in all category's related to home and industrial. From tools, equipment, and quality material I find its all well categorized and I always find what I need in a quick timely manner. This store is always very neat and tidy. I can always count on the staff upon asking questions or suggestions regarding to my home's improvement or my requirement needs to do a job. A++ read more

Good on ya Home Depot. Its not often I think much if anything at all about a major faceless corporation. I just cant hate these guys though, I buy most my work tools and a lot of stuff I need for the house (like a toilet and a sink that I "accidentally" blew up). Now the main reason I do like Home Depot is because where places like wal-mart or superstore employ hundreds of workers who have no idea what is in their store or what I am asking about.. sometimes even a language barrier which is to big to overcome comes into play, I noticed in Jenni's review she has had some trouble with the employees, it can be hard to find someone but my overall experience has been different. Home Depot hires people who know what is in the assigned section ( in most cases people who worked in their trade for many years and are just to old or body to tired to work the hard shifts anymore). Wow whoulda thunk it a plumber in the plumbing isle !! Maintenance man in the tool section?? This just makes to much sense .. itll never catch on. Only once have I had a problem with service, and hey I haven't met anyone perfect yet. The prices Ive been finding recently are very reasonable as well, and how about self serve check out ..BOO YA!! I cant make it work but like to think that one day I will learn. So everything you could need if you garden or are crafty or in a trade, maybe doing reno's.
