The assistant manager Jake saved us from a very challenging situation with hardwood flooring. Due to a misunderstanding hardwood flooring was dropped in our driveway and my wife and I didn't have the physical strength to bring it inside. Jake took immediate action and asked Sam and TJ to bring it in my home. They were very courteous and helped in a pinch. Kudo's to these three gentlemen! Thank you!!!! read more

The purchase of a refrigerator went smoothly, up until the delivery process. The 3rd party contractors who brought the refrigerator to my home, would not remove the refrigerator doors to allow it to be put in the kitchen, despite the Home Depot assuring me and giving me literature that stated they absolutely provide this service for deliveries. I had to refuse the delivery because I was not going to have them leave it in my dining room. This was on a Saturday and I was told the delivery would be rescheduled with personnel who could do the job. Monday comes and I'm told it will take until Thursday to get re-delivery. Upon getting the text informing me of this, there is number to text back, if I have an issue. When I text that number back, I get the message that I have been unsubscribed from text messaging about this delivery. Seriously, Home Depot? So next, I call the store, of course. 3 calls and 3 times I get the runaround and cannot be put in touch with a store manager. They actually connected me to the flooring department, twice! I guess we will see what Thursday brings and also look into using Lowes from now on. read more

We went inside to see if they had the type of indoor/outdoor carpeting we needed for our Kentucky (Florida) Room. Their selection was minimal, so we went to other places to see other selections. Other wise it's a fine Home Depot with a wide selection of goods. read more

Far too reliant on irresponsible contractors. They don't contact you. You contact them. They don't know the answers to your questions. They can't find your order. They can't find your measurements. They don't have initiative or sense of responsibility. 12 weeks after visiting the store and scheduling a measurement is when we were finally able to order doors. Delivery stated to be 3 weeks. Delivery in reality 12 Delivery date updated to 11 weeks and an estimated 4 weeks for contractor to install. If I need to go to a Home Depot, this location is the one I prefer. With ample stock on the shelves it usually has whatever it is that I'm looking for. The one thing this location is missing is tool rental. You'll have to go to the Crescent Springs location for that. The customer service has always been good. But this store has the same problem as another big store down the road. If you need help, you'll likely have to track an employee down. read more

As far as Home Depots go, this location is one of the better ones. They appeared neat, and well organized. Items seemed to be instock. Ample parking was available. There is only one thing stopping me from giving them 5 stars. Lack of employees. There seemed to be one employee covering multiple departments. There was a line of us waiting for said employee's assistance. Once employees were found, they had a positive attitude, and were very helpful. I sat down with one of the employees in kitchen cabinets for a quote. The questions she asked were more in depth than the first place I went for a kitchen cabinet quote. (This was stop 2 on the list.) She even went so far as to tell me when they will be working again if I need to change anything on the quote I received. read more

As I walked in, I watched the family in front of me breeze past the "Masks Required" sign without masks. Within three minutes, I saw another family also not wearing masks. There was a nearby employee looking at them. I made eye contact with him and looked back at the family. He said nothing. I can't imagine having such a blatant lack of empathy for others. I know that this time puts a lot of these employees in a tough situation. Many of them are young and trying to avoid confrontation, I get that... I'm sure it would uncomfortable to tell a 50+ year old man that he needs to follow rules just like everyone else if he wishes to shop in the store. But not saying anything is also uncomfortable for EVERYONE else shopping in the store. When there are numerous families walking around without masks, it's clear that there's no enforcement of the rule. I hate writing negative reviews, it gives me no pleasure... but this is just irresponsible of Home Depot. Stand up for your customers! read more

The Home Depot - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Cold Spring, Kentucky

Was trying to buy a toilet, front door, storm door and various related items today. A little over $800.00 worth of products. I found what I wanted and asked employees for help 3 times, sense some of what I needed was up high, to no avail. After about 30 minuets, I left and spent my money at Low's. The store was not crowded, employees were walking around socializing with each other when they could be found. And the manager was unavailable. This is not the first time I have left Home Depot in Cold Springs due to poor customer service. And both times I spent over $800.00 for items at another store. read more

Place order online, receive notification that it is ready for pick up, I call the store and ask if they can band it together, will be loaded on flat bed trailer, they say sure! show up to the store and it has not been pulled yet, I asked over the phone and they said it was. Was going to talk to a manager about it but he was to busy pushing/ riding on a cart and singing... what a joke... cancelled the order, called Lowe's and it was ready by the time I got there. Wish this was the first time this has happened. I've finally learned my lesson and will drive 15 mins more north to get what my job supplies for my company. read more

I don't usually rant on Facebook but here goes.... In a nut shell, purchased a dishwasher from Home Depot on 11/06/2021, set up delivery/installation for 11/11/2021. When "so called contractors arrived to deliver/install they said something about the water shut that they were not allowed to modify. Hmmm. Scheduled for a "Home Depot Plumber" to come & do necessary modification on 11/15/2021. Said plumber drove from Columbus for something that took 10 minutes!!!!! Scheduled installation of dishwasher for today, 11/18/2021. Installers arrive, 3 of them, do the install only to start dishwasher & it makes a very loud noise. After a few adjustments they tell me the dishwasher is defective & they will have to put in for a replacement order. I have already spoke with mangers at the store & emailed with the general manager at the store about all of this. I was actually told by a so called manager today when I contacted the store after I asked the installers to not leave until I spoke to someone at Home Depot and they left anyway, the manager told me that "maybe I should just schedule for a pickup to return the appliance and purchase one from somewhere else. REALLY!!!!!! Obviously customer satisfaction is not a high priorty for Home Depot. Was our first experience w/ purchase/delivery/installation with Home Depot and WILL BE OUR LAST! So angry right now!!!!!! UPDATE: 2 dishwashers later from Home Depot & continued RUDE customer service/3rd party delivery drivers, we have a dishwasher that we purchased from Lowes. Lowes was able to take care of us in a little over 24 hours that Home Depot was unable to do in 24 days! Lesson learned! Never shopping Home Depot again. read more

As anyone who has ever done a project knows, you will not finish that project without 3 to four trips to your Home Depot. This location is clean and well organized, found most of the stuff pretty easily, except for the paint department. In most home Depot locations, paint is right up front (usually close to the customer service desk). On this one it is kind of hidden and not well labeled. I forgive them mainly because the staff at the paint desk were amazing, helped me with finishes and selections and were super fast and efficient. They helped make this quick stop truly a quick one. read more

The only reason we went in was to get a carpet knife (which is an actual thing!) and some painters tape (to use to put designs on my finger nails). I know I'm suppose to hate big box stores and all they stand for. If I need an extra part I have to wait until they open again. So I go to Lowes in Highland Heights and increasingly Home Depot in Cold Spring. Sure they're monolithic corporations but only if you limit your view. For one, all the employees are local. Don't they deserve a paycheck and decent benefits? But as Tip O'Neil said of politics, It's all local. If you're a home owner and especially a home owner of a house old enough to collect social security you spend a lot of time at these places. In doing so, you get to know the guys who work the electrical, painting and plumbing sections. For example, the painting guys at Lowes are great. Very helpful. If you're blowing your money on something silly - as I usually try to do - they'll warn you off if you ask their advice. I go to Lowe's for my paint stuff. I go to Lowes for my garden stuff too. I've not noticed a difference between them an Home Depot and since Lowes is closer they get my Gardening dollars. But for plumbing I go to Home Depot. Why? They're helpful whereas at Lowes I always seem to get this grumpy old man roaming the plumbing aisle looking for someone to condescend to. At Home Depot I get some young dude who is trained in plumbing but hasn't found a job yet that's enough to make him leave (or so he told me). He's helpful and creative (another trait of owners of old homes). On electrical stuff, it's a tie. Both are equally unhelpful. read more

I ordered a Dryer from Home Depot. They left a card in our door and my old dryer was right outside where they could see it. Me and my Mom heard no one knock. I called and asked if they could come back and they told me that they couldn't deliver it for another week. Made a purchase on 3 July. Said it would be delivered on 27 July. Deliver didn't happen. After playing the obligatory phone circus at this store I finally got a manager to say delivery on September 15. Manager also had about 100 reasons why it wasn't their fault. he blamed the manufacturer. But, I entered into an agreement with this The Home Depot not a manufacturer. I asked for a refund. I was told I had to come to the store to do that, but they would queue it up for me to make the process faster. I got there and this process took about 45 minutes because - again - "not their fault" they say. This The Home Depot also said the funds were "pending" and I never really got charged and would not have been until the appliance was delivered. But, I still don't have the refund and my bank clearly shows the funds were taken out. I'm still out of nearly $1000 from this The Home Depot, no appliance, no refund. On a positive note, I did buy two cans of Krylon Spray Paint and they worked very well. Good thing they were on the shelf and not delivered I suppose. Don't shop here. read more

We here after an awful experience at the other home improvement store. I wasn't in the best mood. Went straight the the isle with the water heaters...ours just went bad water pouring out of the electrical box. Not a good day. Went down the isle an employee name Brian stopped what he was doing to acknowledge us and smile. We found what we wanted he got it down for us still smiling. I do carpenter/construction work and visit this place a lot. Most of the contractors desk is great.. Some of the employees are knowledgable. If you are not as knowledgable in the carpentry field then it is very possible that you could get some very bad advice. My other groans with al the Home Depots is that they can't seem to make all their stores the same. It would be nice if I was in a hurry and could go right where I needed to if I was in a different store. You can still get what you need.. Pretty much every construction need.. Hope you have a better experience with appliance deliveries then me. It's been absolutely awful. 3 different kitchen appliances were to be delivered on a Friday night between 4-8 PM. Truck showed up at 7:45. Delivery guy immediately says can't install dishwasher. Some connection issues we're told. "Everyone know that brand won't work" we're told. So, off the Home Depot to ask why? Told never heard of that problem, so we order a different dishwasher. Now 3 weeks later delivery time. Again delivery time 4-8 PM. Again delivery time 7:45 pm. The highlight with Home Depot you can't find ANYONE that will help or do customer service, all automated services. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! Lowes from now on. read more

Good selection of products. Staff is helpful. I actually bought my washer and dryer from them when I moved here from NorCal. Delivery was prompt and I got a good deal with a military discount. I like how they support the local Vets with DAV parking. They are the first company that I've encountered with that. Keep up the good work. read more

We came to this Home Depot with my husband and my in laws who are visiting from Chicago right now for Mother's Day weekend and Jim aka "Gunny" spotted my mother in law and I and asked if we needed help with anything. We for sure needed help and he lead us in the right direction. He stayed as long as he could in case we needed help carrying anything after making a decision but a phone call diverted him elsewhere. Come to find out, he was diverted to help my husband and father in law with a grill we had decided to purchase. My mother in laws first reaction was pure amazement at how friendly the service was! Gunny helped to the point of loading us up in our vehicle and we feel that his service should be commended! You can truly sense he loves his job and the products that are being sold at Home Depot !
