And when you do go to the right section, they're either out of it or only have the ersatz / inferior store brand product? (For example: Sanding belts are not with the other sand papers, they are in the tools section. And they don't carry the grit type I need in the pack of 6.) Anyway, Beck's is a store a fraction of the size and they always seem to have what I need. I love the old school ambiance, and the people who work there are nice and knowledgeable.

It looked like it had some very unique pieces, so we ventured in. We were instantly greeted by a very friendly, genuine lady. You could tell from the start she was so enthusiastic about the products and loved her job. She begin by telling us about their outside product lines which include customizable couches, and then practically gushed when she got to telling us about the things they make themselves. After seeing the gorgeous urban live edge tables I could see why. I am now dying to have them make me a table, and maybe some shelving, and more. Also, all of the artwork featured on the walls for sale is by local artists! After chatting with her for a bit she directed us to the 7 floor sister store 2 doors down. Urban Timber, located in an even larger store next door sources salvaged logs from our area, as well as Upstate NY (my home!). They involve the customer in every step of the process from picking their piece of wood, to measurement, shape, and even the base. The wood is completely dried and finished on every side making it a lifelong lasting product. While the prices are not inexpensive, you are truly getting a value for the high quality you are receiving. It is an investment. At the time of our visit a nice gentleman gave us a tour and if we had the time he wouldve taken us upstairs to where they make the tables. A sign out front mentioned free delivery. Was a unique situation since we were moving and would have Delmar coming in after we were out of town. He went above and beyond, taking a look at the baseboards and touching up the areas that I hadn't marked when we moved out. Delmar was flexible. It wasn't a normal job since we were out of town. He was comfortable with the arrangement and called or texted with questions since we were out of town getting set up in our new home. Delmar is trustworthy. He let me know of an issue at the end of the day. The paint color was the wrong sheen and he discovered it at 10:00PM. I'm sure some people may have called it good enough and wrapped up. Delmar did not. He called me to tell me what was wrong, went back to the paint store in the morning, and finished up the following day. Again, I wasn't there and wasn't going to be checking the work. He knew that. He could have left well-enough alone. He did the job right! If you're looking for excellent craftsmanship, with a painter who is flexible to your individual situation, and who you can trust to do the job right for a reasonable price, then look no further than Delmar at 7 Days Painting!
