Home Depot is my home away from home. It seems I'm down there every days. Recently I purchased bathroom sink faucets, ditto the kitchen sink faucets. After 24 years they all began to leak. Also purchased fence panel to replace my backyard fence having blown down. To save on my costs they price matched another hardware store. Lastly as a Father's Day gift I received a Traeger Smoker grill, assembled and delivered. Oops one more thing which I purchased was some perennials and herbs and spice plants. We are doing a huge remodel on our house. We had an appt for someone from Home Depot to come measure for whole house flooring. They were a no show. A woman called in the morning to give a bunch of excuses as to why she could not perform her job. We need over $12,000 in flooring and installation. Honestly, I will NEVER use HomeDepot again. I went to Lowe's and told them what happened. They have stepped up and will be to measure on Monday morning. Home Depot in Castle Rock is a horribly ran store. The manager at the Castle Rock store obviously does not know anything about "Customer Service" and how to achieve it! Avoid this store if possible. I'm not sure why these stores are thinking it's okay for customers to have to experience such poor and unacceptable behavior by associates and when it is brought to the Management's attention, they further gaslight the customer to defend the the associate. I've been to many home depots in many states and I've only commonly noticed this type of behavior throughout Colorado not saying there aren't a few other stores that have had issues but most of them have been amazing and I have worked with the West Coast presidents for many years with friends and family who are still contracted vendors. I've never been spoken to by a customer representative so vulgarly to the point I had to inform the associate that I will not tolerate being spoken to that way which led to the store manager siding with the associate. read more

Don't use their home delivery service. They delivered 9 hours later than promised and was missing half the items. Went to their 800 number for support and they put the customer representative on hold for 30 minutes and didn't come back. The HD representative said this was common. The local store personnel obviously doesn't care so stay away. Goo thing there is a Lowes nearby. read more

If I could do negative stars I would. Dishwasher was installed at 8 am. Installation was done by "certified" installation crew from Home Depot. They put it on a cycle, probably to ensure there were no leaks. It was running as they left. Cycle couldn't finish, because an error code said "Check for a clogged, kinked or frozen water drain hose." It's a lovely day (not frozen), it's brand new (how could it be clogged), which leaves kinked...clearly not installed properly. No one "can be scheduled" to come do the installation properly until next week. In MY work, I'm held accountable to fix a problem IMMEDIATELY. Customer Service? Nope. I can't even get a supervisor call-back within the day. 0 stars. read more

I guess there's a reason this Home Depot only has 2 stars. We literally built a house using material from this Home Depot returning very little along the way. Recently I went in to exchange (vs return) a $157 bathroom fan that we purchased 5 months prior and I had the receipt with me (fan just stopped working). The return manager said sorry even with the receipt they wouldn't exchange it and referred me back to the vendor (I don't buy in bulk from the vendor like Home Depot does so a bit silly to make it my problem to deal with on the vendor level. Went at 8am to get lumber for a shelving project. Had to get the pieces I selected cut into various sizes. One of the workers by back dock was really thorough about each of the sizes I needed. That was awesome. He confirmed 2 or 3 times before doing the cuts. I appreciated the confirmation. Nothing worse than making multiple trips on home projects. Things have gotten pricey since COVID. I came in to get a paint sprayer and some stain. After waiting WAY too long for service, i showed the clerk a picture of what I needed on my phone. He snatched my phone from me and walked away, going into the closed aisle for way too long. Like seriously, he could have gone through all my photos and emails while he was away, and i never consented to giving him my phone i. the first place. after getting the stain, he starts mixing it. he didn't tell me that was necessary, by just started doing it. I asked him how long it was going to take, because I'd already been in the store about a hour longer than expected. I told him I was in a rush because I needed to get home and feed my baby. He said "Good luck" and walked away from me. I was about to just walk out of the store at this point, but had already wasted over an hour. I shouldn't have checked out, I'm going back to return pretty much everything except the stain later. About $300 of reruns coming. read more

I just purchased a $5,000.00 GE kitchen appliance package from Home Depot. The dishwasher does not clean the utensils. The dishwasher was delivered March 6th, my daughter had a baby March 14th and spent 4 days in the hospital. We called GE after we got home letting them know the dishwasher didn't work. GE REFUSES TO RETURN AND THE GENERAL MANAGER OF CASTLE ROCK, CO HOME DEPOT ALSO REFUSED TO RETURN THE DISHWASHER. I have closed both of my business accounts and will never do business with them again and I will never purchase GE. I come into my local Home Depot with my rescue dog as I see everyone else doing the same only to buy a gas can and the on duty manager ask me to leave and threatened me that he was calling the police because my dog was barking.... He said my dog was attacking people when I had her on a half foot leash. I come into the store a few times per week to grab supplies for my company and couldn't feel more disrespected and discriminated against. I was literally at the register checking out when both him and the cashier at the time came at me with the upmost disrespect. I see dogs barking and using the bathroom in the facility all the time. Why me I ask? Is it because I'm a black man. I don't want to believe that is tue case, but damn. They should be ashamed of themselves for treating a customer of 25 years with this type of discrimination. After sending numerous employees around the store for SKUs of items to return he finally called the manager to look up my receipt. We ordered a Bespoke fridge from Home Depot on August 31st with a delivery date of October 21st due to back orders. On October 20th, it was rescheduled to the 27th, then rescheduled to November 15th. On November 13th, I started calling Home Depot delivery to inquire about the reason for delay. I was on hold, transfered around, and NEVER got a consistent answer. Finally, I was told that it would be delivered on November 18th. One hour before the end of the delivery window, we got a call that the truck broke down, so it would need to be rescheduled AGAIN!!! On Monday, November 20th, the delivery team showed up with the fridge only to tell me that they don't install the fridge panels or pull our old fridge out. Apparently, we were expected to pull the fridge out and disconnect the water line..WHAT!!! I told them to put the new fridge in the garage, and I would get this handled with Home Depot. I immediately went to the store to speak with the manager. I was told that the delivery team absolutely installs panels and should have removed the fridge. The next attempt at install was scheduled for November 28th. I ended up calling my kitchen contractor to come out on the 27th to move the old fridge out and disconnect the water line just to make sure that there were no excuses when the delivery team showed up on the 28th. Wait for it...on the 28th, one hour before the end of the delivery window, I get a call the truck broke down AGAIN!!!! WTH! I was beyond LIVID!!! I told the delivery gal that this needed to be rectified immediately and find someone who could come get this taken care of asap. She told me she would call me back...she NEVER called back. I called the store again to talk to the manager but it was now almost 5p so he could not really do anything that night. The next day the manager spoke with the 3rd party delivery team manager, who said the next available day he could get me scheduled was December 7th. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!! There is absolutely NO CARE for the customer or their time from this company! To shorten the story, the fridge did finally get installed yesterday, the 30th, but not without further complaint. The team that installed the fridge did a half a** job that had to be corrected and finished by my boyfriend. While the management at the actual Home Depot store tried to do everything in their power to get things done and make things right, I will NEVER shop at or buy ANYTHING from Home Depot again!!! This GIANT corporation should be ashamed of itself for treating customers this way!!! It may be a 3rd party delivery service, but your name is attached, and it is ultimately your responsibility to take good care of your customers!!! Good riddens!!!! read more

I wanted to rent a 12 or 14 foot ladder. The person asked what I drove and I told him a Subaru Legacy. He immediately informed me that would not work. I told him that was what I had and there was no other choice. He he had the choice to not rent to me out of safety concerns. I was more than fine with that explanation. He offered to rent a truck to me but I declined. As son as I walked outside I saw a much larger ladder being returned hanging out of a truck. I snapped a picture and went back to show the guy. He proceeded to tell me that wasn't his problem. I didn't have any issues when safety's the real reason. When there is a double standard for that you are wrong. I had tie down straps, reflective ties and a friend who would drive behind us. This truck is considered more safe? I am aware the ladder is leaning into the truck, and I am sure it is tied down. Those are risk mitigation factors that I also had. That is fine, instead of giving Home Depot $40 to rent a ladder I gave Lowe's $150 to buy one. My ten foot ladder made it just fine. I agree that adding 2-4 feet out of my shown trunk would have been a hazard. That is why I had safety measures already in place to mitigate the risk. The best part is that I could have come back later and said Ford F-150 and got the ladder without issue. That is fake safety but good on you for putting on a front. If Home Depot wants a good safety program, they should evaluate each situation - that will take an active safety manager. I won't be back, but maybe this will help get them to evaluate how safe their safety rules are. read more

Went to Home Depot to buy a refrigerator. Had to have another department page four times to get someone to help us (and ultimately he was from another department). Waited ten days for delivery - then after they took my old fridge out - they brought in a fridge with misaligned doors with a four inch drop from front to back. I asked them if they weren't going to fix the slope and the doors and they said "Yeah, it's messed up - but we don't know how to fix either of those things - we'll put it in for replacement". While they were there - I called the manufacturer (GE) and scheduled a warranty service visit for 7 days later. Home Depot said someone would call me right away to schedule replacing the defective refrigerator. I waited five days then called them - didn't know what I was talking about, but will send out a supervisor...I'm four days. Meanwhile - GE sends voicemail that replacement is on backorder - will ship in THREE MONTHS! Supervisor shows up and says "Yeah, that's messed up - looks like someone maybe dropped it and crushed the rear wheels or something - I'll take some photos and someone will call you tonight"! No one calls, so after three days I call the store again. After one hangup and three transfers - an older guy listens to my story and says one of two people will call me back. A woman calls me back and says she found a note on her desk to call - "What do you want?" By now - GE has called and says their service tech for my area is out sick, so they can schedule me for another appointment in ten days! Great! The woman at Home Depot says they can't exchange the refrigerator unless I pay for a second one and wait for the GE factory to process my return. I ask to speak with the store manager - no dice. She says she will look into inventory and get back to me. The second GE appointment date arrives and the service tech calls and says I'm his next appointment- could I verify my address. I give it to him and he pauses. "I'll call you right back", he says - never a good sign. Two minutes later he calls to say "I'm in Evergreen and with traffic you are an hour from me - so my supervisor says to cancel your appointment and give you this 800 number to call. Good luck!" The 800 operator is grouchy and says the best she can do is send a third party service company to look into the problem and says they will call me within 24 hours. So far - no call. What do you do when both Home Depot and GE are this unresponsive? read more

Lots of employees standing around available to help. I found my items quickly and was out in a moderate amount of time. Randy was a nice older man who helped me make a copy of my mail key. He was training a younger associate who initially handed me my key back and told me there's nothing they can do because they don't have the key I needed. Randy was like "hang on, we might have some up on top." He found some extra keys in the top stock and he took the time to grab a step ladder, look, and make me my key. The younger associate ran off when randy found the extra keys. Thank you randy for not being lazy like the younger associate was and for helping me out, and for being so kind and doing your job correctly and with a smile. :) sorry to hear about your wife's aloe plant getting demolished by the hail! The gentleman working in plumbing today....I believe his name was Gill? He was shorter, curly hair mid-50s, glasses and super witty and smart....Strong plumbing background. He totally helped me yesterday and today with a water heater issue on a DIY project I was doing with a recirculation pump. This guy should be running the whole store's customer service program. Absolutely the friendliest Home Depot employee I have ever worked with. I will never go to Lowes again with people like this....This is exactly the way customers should be treated and this is what captures market-share. Very impressed with his level of attentiveness, kindness and professionalism to me and to the other guests he was helping while I was waiting my turn. I had a pretty bad experience here regarding the customer service. I went in to buy a grill and everything that comes with it and it was like I was bothering the staff to get a grill from the top shelf. I was asked "can you just take the display"... Then don't even bother asking to get it installed at the store. I just went back and forth with the guy because he was saying the grill I chose doesn't come with that offer even though the sign clearly stated it. Once he finally looked at the sign he gets on the phone to confirm that I'll have to wait till Wednesday when their installation guy is in....Okay, I'll put it together myself. Then got asked "well are you single?"....because I need a man to help me? My boyfriend is about as good with tools as I am so he wouldn't be much of a help either. That question was pretty insulting and extremely sexist... It just kept getting worse and worse. I asked where I could find a chain and lock to lock the grill tank up and was told that she doesn't work in this section. I asked if I should just order it off of Amazon and was told "that's probably your best bet". I should've just ordered everything off of Amazon at this point. I won't even mention the rude checkout person who made me feel like an idiot. Basically, I came in to Home Depot to learn about a grill and some tips (because that's what they advertise, right) and it was just a horrible mistake to come in. Do not use the online service unless you have nothing better to do. It will only cost you more time. It took the location 24rs to pick the order and then you have to wait in line for 2hrs to pick it up once you get to the store or you can sit on the phone for two hours to cancel it. What is worse is that while your sitting on hold the entire time they are promoting how much time the online service can save you. Ha Ha...what a Joke. Last time I shop at Home Depot. I recommend you go to Lowe's if you actual want to spend your time working on your project and not waiting in a line or dealing with poor customer service. read more

Do not order from this location for curbside pickup. When we arrived, I called the number to have them bring out the item I had ordered, but stayed on hold for about 20 minutes. Then they disconnected--never answered their phone. If they are not going to answer their phone, then they need to stop the curbside option, because it doesn't work. read more

The guy that is watching the other guy work is named Ralph and refused me access to the aisle. If I could give it no stars I would. Purchased flooring at Home depot that included vinyl tile plank flooring and carpet squares. I received two different dates for installs for the Vinyl and carpet which took over a month out. they contract with HOM solutions out of Colorado Springs as their only vendors for installation. Both times the employees showed up and walked off the job without doing any work! They are the most unprofessional flooring install company I have ever worked with. Avery from the main office is the most arrogant, rude power hungry associate I have ever encountered!! I contacted Jason the manager at Home depot and he stated he would take care of it and promised to call back as soon as possible. I had to leave three messages before I finally spoke to him again and he stated that the install could not be for another two weeks. We went to buy a gas fire pit and had a 10% coupon from our Citibank card. For whatever reason one of the employees ( Barbara claims she is a manager idk) couldn't make it work and decided to get snarky with us and told us it wasn't going to work, and basically there was nothing she could do. When we questioned that ( very calmly-not rudely) she became very rude and said if she gave us the 10% we would just go try and use that coupon elsewhere. After telling her we spend a lot of money there, she said, " sure sure, you spend thousands and we have contractors who spend millions" at the point we just decided, no sale. In trying to protect that $40 loss she just lost the entire sale. After we left we called to talk to another manager and he said he would speak with her, but never took our names or anything.
