My husbands favorite Home Depot. We are from NC and we visit my mom quite often in Clarksburg. Hubby never fails to visit this store. He loves the stocked shelves and the lovely lumber that is available. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful too. Where we live in NC, the Home Depot is always crowded and not nearly as well stocked as this store is. We call it the "Almost Heaven" Home Depot. We have often brought home supplies from this store and brought them all the way home to NC. read more

A dear friend had a refrigerator delivered from them and they refused to bring in into his home. They left it set in his front yard. He is a longtime customer and retired military. He deserves much better service than what he recieved. read more

Ordering flooring through Home Depot has been a nightmare. Backorder after back order, multiple shipping delays, and worst of all NO ONE from the local store will even call me to let me know that these things are happening. I find out after the fact, when I call to (once again) find out where my order is. It's been over a month and I still have no flooring and have to delay the opening of my space. Had anyone from the store ever called me to let me know of a delay when the actual delay happens, I could have ordered something else. But every time *I* call them (because no one ever calls me) and find out that there had been another delay they do not have any comparable products in stock on the quantity that I need, and it would take longer to order the quantity I need than to wait for the new ship date for my existing order WHICH NEVER ENDS UP SHIPPING. The high point of this communication debacle is the expeditor (don't be misled by that job title, she speeds up nothing) refusing to speak to me on the phone, never returning my voicemails, then refusing to meet with me when I went into the store until the poor customer service associate physically walked to her office and told her she needed to come talk to me, at which point she let me know she was supposed to be getting off work, that none of the vendors would be in for her to even call, and handed me off to another poor flooring associate so he could look up every product and tell me how they did not have the quantity in stock and it would take longer to receive than my original or (WHICH I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED). I have followed this rabbit and carrot down into the 5th circle of Home Depot hell, where my options are to continue to wait, order something else (and wait) or try to get my money back and go somewhere else (to order something else)...all of which just means more time, and more money that I'm losing in my business because I have no flooring. read more

I reside in CA and have a sister who lives in WV. She needed a new freezer and washing machine. The Sunday paper displayed the items I knew she needed at a price she could afford. I told her to call and see about ordering these two items from Home Depot. In the beginning she had nothing but problems with the personnel in Appliances. I put in a call to company manager, David Poolman, and explained that my sister was without a car/transportation/disabled and needed these items and didn't understand what the problem was in ordering them. I expected better customer service especially from Home Depot. He instructed his employee whose name I don't know to contact her. She successfully ordered the two items and they were delivered yesterday to her residence. This was the The White Glove treatment. Exceptional service and the deliverymen were awesome in dealing with her. Today is her birthday so all I can say is thanks so much for making her birthday great and the service was marvelous. I must update my review. My order was fulfilled perfectly for the 12 inch hybrid sleep options Marquis mattress. I couldn't have asked for better pickup or product. But the Online Home Depot associates could not tell me any information on my order fulfillment 24 hours prior to delivery. Apparently they were as much in the dark as I was to the fact that it had been shipped from California to West Virginia for the entire 13 days that they had opened an investigation regarding the incident. Unbelievable experience. I do like the quality of the product. It was all that it was advertised to be. But this online service does not make me want to be a return customer. read more

Love this store, everyone is so helpful! Kerry is especially knowledgeable from the kitchen area. Love all of the products I have purchased from this store. They also helped my 3 sons complete their Eagle Scout requirements. Lowe's wouldn't even consider helping them and were extremely rude! read more

I am going to visit my grandson tomorrow and I want to take him a little rake, to us to help us rake up leaves. I have called six stores in the last 15 minutes and "Fence" (I think that is how he must spell his name, from this Home Depot, actually walked around the store with the phone in his hand and found two rakes that sound suitable. No one at the other stores even gave me ten seconds of their time. Now, here is the awesome part. I told him I was going to be in a hurry when I stopped by and he said he would lay both of them up at customer service desk for me to look at, with my name on them. Now that is old fashioned "care about our customers" service. I couldn't be more pleased! read more

I prefer Lowes. This store has a weird layout. Things are hard to find. The staff is friendly when you can find them. I think their prices are a little higher. It's not my first choice. read more

Absolutely horrible! They have missed two appointments for a cabinet refacing project. Not once did they call and advise me they couldn't make it. Both times I had to call and they had to track down the person who was supposed to be here. You got me twice, but you won't get me again! You lost about a $60K first floor remodel opportunity (kitchen, living room, dining room office and bathroom including 1K sqft + in hardwood flooring). Horrible management! read more

Usually go to Lowes, now i remember why. Saw numerous workers mostly standing around talking not one offered any assistance until we went up to checkout. Had 4x8 sheets of hardboard pulled up to load no assistance outside either . I guess i could've asked but really never have to at Lowe's read more
