Big Lots - Big Lots at Gabe's Plaza Bridgeport, WV.

Big Lots

So I've heard very recently that Big Lots is soon going out of business and my opinion I feel that…read moreBig Lots has just wanted to cater to older adults, I never seen a wide variety of items for young adults or teenagers at Big Lots and I believe that's the downfall for Big Lots. I'm almost 40 years old and I remember back when I was a teenager and a Freshman in high school, I'd went to Big Lots with my mom and at the time when I was a teenager, I didn't see a lot of trendy or popular items for teenagers or young adults at Big Lots back in my teenage days, infact when I was in there with my mom, I didn't see anyone around my age at Big Lots and I'd asked my mom to take me to the mall cause I'd felt embarrassed being at Big Lots during my teenage years. Earlier this year, I've walked inside Big Lots, still almost the same as it was 25 and some years ago, just stuff that Big Lots have are stuff for older adults and the stuff Big Lots have I can also buy at Dollar General, Family Dollar Dollar Tree and at Walmart or Sam's Club. I believe that the lack of merchandise marketing for teenagers and young adults was the downfall for Big Lots and if Big Lots did had something for anyone including some merchandise for teenagers or young adults, Big Lots just wasn't appealing for young shoppers. Truthfully till now, I'm surprised that Big Lots has made it to the end of 2024 cause I remember 24 years ago in year 2000 when Montgomery Ward announced about going out of business and along with Ames in 2001 I'd figured that Big Lots would've went out of business before 2005 but for each year between now and year 2000, when I would hear on the news about some national businesses going out of business, I always said "I'm surprised that Big Lots is still in business". Though when I was a little kid, I had fond memories of going to Big Lots with my mom till my teenage years then I'd felt embarrassed of going to Big Lots when I'd became a high school student. Though I really don't like to see Big Lots to go out of business, I'd just wished that they would have made their business more appealing to the younger folks, not just appealing to the older folks. Update: Big Lots will open back soon.

We don't shop at this location for a reason!!…read more Went to purchase the last Halloween decoration and I was told I couldn't purchase it because the manager didn't want to have to build another one when they got more stock in. The sign had a price tag on it and there was no indication you couldn't purchase it except the kid at the register saying he wasn't allowed to sell it. !
