I went anyway because I wanted to support a local store. I wanted to buy porch railing and was told they would have to call for a price and would call me. After 1 1/2 weeks with no call, I called them. The sales person I was working with was out to lunch. I wasn't Loud and I didn't cuss I just told them that I was new to the area and was told not to shop there but I really wanted to shop locally. The person I was talking to said he would have my salesperson call when they returned from lunch. The General Manager called me back and said that they didn't want to deal with me because of the way I treated his salesperson. I told the mgr that I wasn't rude and I just stated what my friends had told me about Busy Beaver. The manager said he believed his salesman over me and hung up on me. I'm retired but worked in retail for over 40 years and was shocked at the way the mgr would treat a customer.

I asked one of the gentleman employees about the buggy and he informed me that it was up to the manager's discretion about what would happen with the plants. The employee was nice enough to contact the manager and she said I was welcome to sort through the flats and purchase a flat for $5.00each. I verified that I could mix and match the flats. After spending somewhere between 30 - 45 minutes sorting through the entire buggy of approximately 20 flats I proceeded to re-enter the store to finalize the purchase. The clerk, named Jodi, started going through the plants saying this one should not have been in the buggy, and that one should not have been in the buggy. I stated that they were in the buggy and that there was more of that particular plant on the bottom, that I definitely did not put any in the buggy that were not already in the buggy. She then started looking at the other flats and stating that there were other plants that shouldn't have been in the buggy. At this point I said "thank you" and left your store. I then called back to the store and asked to speak to the manager regarding the situation and was informed by Jodi that the manager had left for the day, but would be back tomorrow. Further conversation ensued where she explained that she was going to "let" me have the plants at the agreed price. Well if that was the case, then why treat me as I had put flowers in my flats that weren't part of the reduced buggy? I will never return to your store and will ensure anyone I know who shops at your store hears about your customer treatment.
