A phone number from California called at 4p to notify me that delivery was delayed and the new window was now 4p-8p. That same CA number called at 7p to notify me that I was next on the list for delivery that I will be contacted soon by the delivery driver. At 815p, I called that CA number to ask about my delivery because I had not heard anything. The delivery driver NEVER called me personally. The driver made it to a weight restricted road (one of three ways to get to my location). The driver documented that the truck could not pass that weight restricted road and turned back around to go back to the distribution warehouse without notifying me of their dilemma. They were 10 minutes from me at that point and just abandoned the delivery with documentation of how it was not possible (even though they could have re-routed if they would have called). I called that CA number to be put on hold by 4 different representatives - only for my call to be picked up as an original call each time. On Friday morning the distribution center called to arrange the delivery. After 20 minutes of looking at Google maps to document the proper route, the representative claimed that delivery could only happen on Tuesdays or Thursdays in my area. I already wasted an entire day of being present waiting for their delivery. I told them I was not available on Tuesdays or Thursdays and they were unable to send a special delivery to meet my needs after inconveniencing me. So, I called the Morgantown Mall store at 930am and asked to speak with the appliance department. No one was working appliances until 3p, so I asked to speak with the manager. I explained how I arranged my entire Thursday to be at the delivery location and he simply did not care that every step of the delivery process was an inconvenience to their customers. I also explained that I am a valued, repeat customer who has purchased numerous appliances over the years including washer and dryer sets, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, and ovens. I further explained that because I am a loyal customer, all aspects of my new home build for 2026 would be purchased from Lowes. Not one "I am sorry ma'am, let me see what I can do for you" or any legitimate offers to rectify the scenario. He noted that he could have the washer delivered to the store and I would have to pick it up (not an option or I would have done that to begin with!) Zero percent of that manager cared that he was losing a loyal, repeat customer that was going to make several large purchases in the future. How about have your delivery truck have a CB radio back to the distribution center or upgrade the communication to have Starlink so that drivers would have phone service in rural areas? How about when the delivery truck did have service, they call the customer to notify them of the issue with the route and ask for a possible solution? They made it 10 minutes from their destination and said "nope" and ended the route with proper documentation. This is unacceptable from the distribution center, their call center in CA, and the Morgantown Mall Lowe's. TERRIBLE customer service - they did not care to make that delivery, to cancel that order, or to lose a valued customer. I will now shop at 84 Lumber, Menards, Home Depot, and Best Buy. SAD that customer service is non-existent anymore.

We travel two and a half hours back and forth between a home in Columbus and another near Marietta,…read moreOhio. My initial reaction to this store was delight at the variety of items they had available in a rural area. A woman near the front of the store asked us for what we were looking and sent us directly to the plumbing area for the pump fittings and hose we needed to replace our cistern setup over the weekend. As we perused the proper aisle, we were approached by a male employee, Lynn, asking if we needed help. I do not normally accept help from salespersons, as in most stores they have no more expertise than the customer. however, my boyfriend could not find the specific fitting size for which he was looking, so he accepted the help. When the gentleman approached the hose reels and we asked about the PSI rating on the 1 1/4 inch hose, he pointed to the signage for the one inch hose above it. I had initially looked at the wrong signage as well and pointed out to him that the price and PSI rating did not correspond with the hose about which we were asking. Lynn had strong opinions about brass versus nylon fittings and the clear reinforced hose versus the black, less expensive hose. We entertained his explanations and asked about electrical accessories and an outdoor outlet set up to more easily locate them. Instead of allowing us to examine the shelf tags and the purchase options, the salesman placed the store-brand items in our hands hastily. Irritated by his pushy attempts to upsell us, I left to use the restroom, and when I returned, Lynn had already cut three foot of the hose for which we had asked and had all of the suggested items waiting at the checkout counter for us. We explained that we could borrow the concrete drill bit he selected for us from a neighbor, that we could use the electrical connections from a previous pump, and that we would prefer an outlet box with a light to indicate if the well was receiving power. After driving nearly an hour home, when we returned to our task, we discovered that Lynn had cut the one inch hose that he had incorrectly referred to the first time I pointed this out, despite our receipt charging us for the one and a quarter inch hose price. We were unable to use the hose, and called your store to explain what happened, as they would be closed by the time we could return. Lynn argued that he cut the correct size hose for us, and the only solution he suggested was that we drive the hour to return to your store for replacement. Since I had a job interview first thing in the morning in Marysville, Ohio, it was imperative that we get our running water before dark so that I could shower. So we had to make another nearly hour-long trip into Marietta to obtain the (correct) supplies from Lowe's. This interaction has reinforced for me that I do not want the help of any sales person at a hardware store. I expect the staff to understand the shelf labeling system as well as pay immaculate attention to detail, especially in an area where customers might drive 30 minutes or more to pick up supplies. My boyfriend was quite upset with the waste of our time, our gas, and waiting until nearly 9 at night to eat dinner on a Sunday. I feel your staff needs to be less defensive, learn to say they are genuinely sorry, and listen more to help the customer, and not the store's bottom line.

Eastwood's prices are comparable and the products are better, in my opinion. I will always go there first!! Great store.

This location used to be a dollar store. I was heading out to the grocery store the other day and needed just a few items for our new house. It could have waiting, but I figured I'd give this hardware store a try, since I was right there. I was looking for three things: numbers for our mailbox, a silver light switch cover (we were one short), and a plastic piece to go over a vent. Surprisingly, I found all three at this little gem. The only downside is that the switch covers only came in brown, cream, and white...no silver for a double switch. No worries. Since they were something like $1.39, I bought one for the time being until the next time I head out to Lowe's or Home Depot. On the down side...unfortunately, I don't think this place will get much business. It's in a bad location and really just can't compete with the bigger box stores. However, I hope it sticks around. The employees were more than helpful and I got a great big smile from the cashier. The prices are obviously a little more expensive than a bigger store, but they were not outrageous. For me, it was worth it to just have to drive a few miles down the road.
