THIS Home Depot is worth the drive from Diamondhead in Hot Springs! I am SO IVER Lowe's and the horrific customer service, refusal to answer the phone, management her have zero care for a customer experience, I could go on and on, but needless to say it would really blow your wig back. If you knew what horrible service I've received there are not one not too, but seven different occasions in the last couple of months. This is about Home Depot, I drive from Diamondhead because they offer excellent customer service, a better selection at better prices and their employees actually seem to be happy. They're there and interested in assisting you. Tonight I have the pleasure of working with Kris in the lumber department. I was a bit stumped on. Not only was he personable and professional, but he quickly found exactly what I needed, made some great suggestions, and did so in such a pleasant manner that I will definitely ask for him next time I come back and need help. Not only is Home Depot. It's right off the freeway, but like I said, it's worth the drive when you can get good customer service which seems to be to Lowe's. I had a washer and dryer delivered today and set up by two very awesome and friendly men, Will and Tramell. I would buy 100 more appliances from the Benton Arkansas location if it meant these guys were the ones taking care of me! Buying extremely expensive machines can be a bit nerve wracking along with anticipating the delivery and set up. All that worry disappeared as soon as they arrived! They were knowledgeable about the machines, put the pedestals together easy peasy, they put both machines in a VERY tight fitting space without a single tiny scratch! They took their time to make sure they were connected and running correctly and did it all with very friendly smiles and even cracked a few jokes along the way that got a good laugh from me! They both had top notch customer service skills. They definitely deserve a ton of praise! Bravo on having these 2 on your team Home Depot! read more

I went there today to purchase over $500.00 of garden material. the guy outside just told me to write it down on a piece of paper and take it to customer service. When I got to customer service, they said the descriptions weren't enough to go back out and get the SKU numbers off all the tags. it's 90° outside, so I went back out me and my gardener we wrote down all the SKU numbers and brought them back in. We got a different girl and she says these aren't the right numbers, it was the numbers under the barcodes! So we left & went to Lowe's , took 30 minutes there! much better customer service! read more

We have a HUGE problem. I ordered 7 boxes of flooring and paid for all of them in 1 transaction online. I've received 2 boxes of the correct flooring along with 3 boxes of peel and stick flooring that I did not order. I called your 1800 the same day of delivery and she said that she was only showing 2 of the flooring boxes delivered. I asked her if someone was going to pick the peel and stick back up and she avoided my question, redirected me to call back tomorrow if I didn't receive the rest of my order. The order then showed from FedEx that it was being delayed, then delayed again. Here we are. Almost 2 months later. You returned 1 package of the flooring yesterday through email, but that doesn't account for the rest nor the peel and stick flooring that's sitting in my house that I didn't order! None of this was boxed up besides the original packaging so I'm not sure how anyone could have not distinguished that they were not the same product. They aren't even the same size box. I found a piece of foam tubing that someone had disgarded by the other foam tubing. I searched the area for more. Did not find any. I also could not find an opening is the merchandise that this piece may have come out of... so I pulled up the HD app and searched for this item... still couldn't find it. At checkout, I told the self-service cashier that the piece was unidentified and not on their app... then I asked if I could have it. She had to check with someone else. She measured the item (24") and went to find someone. Then the two of them went to find someone else to ask. While the three of them tried desperately to figure out what to charge me for an item they don't sell, I finished my $130 transaction and left. That was the most pathetic display of customer service I've seen in a very long time! This always seems to be the case at Home Depot. I'll stay with Lowe's. It would have been so easy to keep this customer happy but they opted for the opposite! Is it a training issue? Lack of response from management? I don't know. But it was a lack of respect for their customers that will keep me from shopping there in the future! read more

Buyer beware. I Purchased an instant hot water pump and the Home Depot install service so that we would have instant hot water on every faucet. You would think that the service would include installing everything needed for the pump, it didn't. I got a call from the installer about the price of the install and I agreed to the $280 price thinking it was a complete installation. They came and attached the pump to the hot water heater, but when it came to the electric that was needed to run the pump, they said oh we don't do that you have to have someone else do that. So I called an electrician and that was an additional hundred dollars. I thought I was buying a complete install service, it wasn't, it was a partial installation. I'm not complaining about the work that was done, just that I didn't know that it wasn't a complete installation. Prior to my purchase of the pump and the installation package, I had shown the Home Depot sales person a picture of the electric box next to the hot water heater, a picture of my hot water heater and the hot water pump I was purchasing from Home Depot. I feel like I was misled as to what the service actually was and that I was ripped off. I guess you have to read all the fine print, but I never had any fine print to read before I bought, just the little sign that said, we install. BUYER BEWARE. read more

Carpet installation stopped because of bad carpet. Delaminated was term they used. Worst they had seen in 20 years. Left undone with carpet not covering padding in some areas ... That was two weeks ago and I still have no reply to "what the heck are you going to do about it?" ... I have to keep pestering them. They don't take responsibility, don't take the initiative to correct the problem, don't return calls. Does anybody know of a good carpet place in Benton, Bryant or Little Rock? We were going in just to simply look around for things we need for our new home. We do not live in this state. So, we honestly did not intend on necessarily buying. We needed a washer and dryer for our home. We decided to look around and we encountered John. John was extremely friendly, not "pushy", and gave us information on anything we asked. He paid attention to detail in our conversations and help show us things we had spoken about. He made sure we were comfortable with our decisions and he explained everything we needed to know about the protection plans, delivery, and our products we purchased. He was very good working with our family, kids and all. It's very nerve racking to make larger purchases for the first time. He took the fear away and he made sure we were comfortable with our decisions. He was open and honest. He didn't try to push purchases of products we didn't need. I can only hope to encounter someone like John in the future at other Home Depot locations. read more

The worst service I have received in any store in a long time. Waited over 45 minutes to purchase a high end washer & dryer...the manager on duty and the department head never came. When we finally spoke to them at the front desk, they STILL didn't try to help make the purchase and hardly apologized for the wait. Guess I will be buying from Lowe's! read more

Personally I like the Benton Home Depot. I go there when I need a human being to answer my questions. The only department you need to avoid if you are a novice is the garden department. They have nobody back there that knows ANYTHING about gardening. (Go to Sutherlands if you need help). But as far as the floor workers are concerned, I have never met an unfriendly or unhelpful one. read more
