Based on my experience and interactions online, I would not recommend this business. I was shocked by the kind of behavior and communication I encountered from the owner of the store. In the past I ordered numerous holsters from them and they deserved 5 stars but NO more as 1 star is 1 too many for the product and customer service. My latest iwb is at least 1 1/2+ inches too long making it more uncomfortable sitting pressing against the leg. I emailed them over a month ago when I received the holster and they then asked send a picture which I did. A month went by and no reply, I emailed again to find out no reply to the picture, their reply sorry for the delay but send us another picture but this time s sideview. I did and their reply it is correct holster I can return it for a refund after 6 weeks of my first email. It seems their way of making holsters have changed as none of the others I ordered were like this. I have crossed this company off my list to order from and you should also. Their way of designing them has gone downhill and their customer non service is horrible. There was no need to remind them about a reply after a month and then ask for another picture and to saybthe correct one. It is a shame as they make a nice product but if it does not fit correctly ruins it and then to say it is a correct holster. Had to CONTEST the CHARGE with my CREDIT CARD to get a REFUND. I ordered a Leather Kydex Paddle holster for a Beretta Tomcat. What was received was clearly a defective holster that was likely just sent to get rid of a defective item. It appeared as though it was constructed by a trainee. The holster was assembled and canted in a very awkward way. I did not order a canted holster. Nevertheless, this wasn't just a normal canted holster. It was clearly defective in its construction. Useless for anyone. I called this business a few times, and they never answer the phone. Emailed them, and never received an answer. Finally CONTESTED the CHARGE with my CREDIT CARD and got a REFUND. UPDATE: I managed to fix the thumb snap by having a 1 way snap installed in place of the one that came with the holster. And don't forget the fasteners that are too long for the straps - which was corrected by installing Galco fasteners. Why can't The Holster Store do that in the first place? Because they won't listen to their customers. read more

Ordered a holster for my EMP. Website did not distinguish between 4" and the 3" Compact. They sent one for the 3" Compact EMP. Customers are supposed to know to order a 1911 4" holster when ordering for full sized EMP. Did not see anything on their website that states this when I ordered. Very difficult to impossible to get a comfortable and functional fit. Assembly hardware needs to be forced through the straps. Don't recommend this product. Especially if you are shorter than 6'. read more

This company made the wrong holster, it took over a week to get customer service, they will never answer the phone. They confirmed that the work was done incorrectly and wanted me to pay to have it shipped back to them. Before you buy from them just call their phone number 1-866-998-7254, they will not answer. The first holster was delivered to me was damaged which to be honest obvious. They did replace it but the replacement holster would jam on the front sight which made it very difficult to remove the pistol from the holster. I just purchased ANOTHER Pro Carry Xtreme Duty for a new gun. As with my prior purchases, workmanship is flawless and it fits like a glove. I have purchased at least 4-5 holsters and recommend them all. I did have to return one holster, it was not a holster problem, I ordered it anticipating winning an online auction. Bought a 140-dollar vertical shoulder holster from these people. What a piece of nice-looking GARBAGE. The thumb break comes unsnapped all the time, just from simple things like getting into or out of your car. The holster leans so far forward that it creates an obvious bulge under your clothing. The vertical mag pouches are nearly impossible to reach with your non-shooting hand. I had to have the holster re-worked at a leather shop just to be able to use it. I sent pictures and explanations in to customer service, and was assured that they would be sent to the "Design team". Still, from what I can see, they have not done anything to correct the problems in three months. After I sent a follow-up email asking how the re-designing was going I received no response. They don't seem to care if you get a holster which you can actually use. For 140 dollars before tax, I would expect a little more than a piece of nice-looking garbage. My Iraqi holster which I bought 12 years ago in Baghdad is now fixed and working well. I wouldn't give 20 bucks for the piece of junk the Holster Store sold me if I could do it all over again. read more
