The location of this pub is right beside a gate into the phoenix park so is great for visitors to the park, locals and anyone that wants a great place for food and drink.
The night I was there we had about 10 of us and while we had booked into the restaurant they were quite happy to seat us in the more relaxed informal bar. The food was really good, I shared 3 taco dishes for €20 with someone else and it was quite good. I had chicken wings, bravas patatas and parma ham. The bravas patatas were a bit boring, being simply deep fried diced potato with bland sauce but everything else was good.
The service was great even though the pub was busy. The young server girl had everyone in stitches at the table as we filled up on beer, wine etc.
The evening ended with some live music which was great even though there was no space for dancing.
Only critism would be the tiny toilets with only 2 cubicles for such a busy place. read more
