I've been coming to The Higher Path for over 5 years, and I've never had an experience as the one I had today. I placed an order online and saw that I had reward points available to use. When I arrived for curbside pickup, I let them know I wanted to apply my points and just pay the difference. The employee who helped me, Clay (who said he was a supervisor when I asked for one), came back and told me I had no points available and would need to pay full price. I politely asked if he could double-check since the website had consistently shown my points, and I had been saving them. Instead of trying to help or even acknowledging there might be a system issue, Clay became dismissive, condescending, and honestly pretty disrespectful. He told me it didn't matter what the website showed and that he couldn't "magically make points appear" on his end. There was no effort to troubleshoot, no apology, and no attempt to find a solution. After going back and forth with Clay being condescending and rude for several minutes in the parking lot, I got frustrated and left without my order. I then went back on the website, confirmed my points were still there, placed a new order applying them, and returned to the store. The second budtender I worked with was the complete opposite, friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful. He apologized multiple times, tried to figure out what went wrong, and even offered to contact a supervisor. That level of service is what I've come to expect here, which made my interaction with Clay stand out even more, in the worst way. Really disappointing experience from someone representing themselves as a supervisor. Hoping management addresses this, because this is not the standard I've experienced here over the years. Huge selection, great deals, helpful staff. Shoutout to Paul for helping me and offering top notch service. First time here and wow they have a huge selection. I'm not familiar with the half of the store dedicated to smoking, but more familiar with the edibles side and the infused drinks. Lots of options and very spacious. You grab a basket and load up whatever you want, unlike other places where you may need an associate to mark down your selection. For payment, I recommend debit over credit. Security requires links and a credit card fee, and even my Apple Pay debit was declined but the physical card worked. So my recommendation is a physical debit card for this transaction. To be clear, I am very glad they have significant security and it seems the physical debit is the best balance of both. It's now become normal to arrive for a parking lot pickup and to just simply be ignored by the workers. If they aren't offering parking lot pickup anymore, I'd rather them just say that. There is this one weird blond lady in the parking lot who is always helllllllla rude. I was there recently and was in the lot for about 45 minutes (With no other customers) before receiving my product. And even then, my order was wrong and I was overcharged and didn't receive all my items. Today I stopped in and was told by 2 employees about a 30% discount if one.'s total wad $90 or greater. I intentionally purchased about $100 worth and as I paid a total of $95, I realized that the 30% discount had not been applied to my purchase. i did not understand why and no one took the time to explain it to me. ultimately any purchase is my responsibility, but I feel that someone could have mentioned what specific terms and conditions. Yelp doesn't offer enough stars to accurately rate this dispensary and the staff. This is an absolutely beautiful storefront and I don't know the name of the gent who checked my ID at the front but he was lovely and friendly and welcoming! When I entered the dispensary, I was greeted by Paige who was patient in helping me pick out what I was looking for and very informative. Also just totally lovely to chat with. I wound up purchasing a 6pk of Higher Path's brand (support local) of pre rolls and they are by far the best I've ever smoked. They are rolled SO PERFECTLY!! Easy to light, you don't have to collapse your lungs trying to get that first drag, but a nice slow smoke, and delicious flavor. Extremely reasonable price points, especially given the quality of the brands they're carrying! I just came here to get a pre-roll and some edibles, and I love the new setup of the place. This used to be my go-to place when I want a pre-roll. I've noticed the last few times I've gone there, my card declines every single time! I have to try multiple cards until the payment process goes through. Today, none of my cards worked and they said they weren't excepting credit cards. I was told to use the ATM to withdraw cash, and the machine was out of service. I sat down and waited for them to fix the ATM, and after it was fixed, I tried withdrawing cash, and it still didn't work. I got so frustrated I just walked out and no one even noticed. This issue has been happening for a long time, and I'm not sure why they're not changing their payment processing system. They also charge way more for their payment processing fee than other vendors. I am shocked that the staff only offered me free matches for all my time waiting for a payment to go through. Every time I go to this dispensary, it's a frustrating experience! Almost every other dispensary that I go to allows for credit cards and debit cards to be used, and I never have any issues. I rarely leave Yelp reviews, but this experience was my last straw. I love this store, and I love their selection, but they need to get it together with the payment processing system. Great selection and ambience here, but the five star rating comes from them hitting all of the marks during a recent tough customer service issue I had with them. I had made an online order and received one incorrect item and one entirely missing item. I didn't think to look through the bag until I got home, which obviously puts the store in a tough spot as they can't verify visually that I had been shorted (which, no worries - it happens) I called them and they made no issue with correcting the issue. In a regulated industry like this, it would have not been unexpected to be told to f*ck off by other stores, while they kept my pre-paid funds. Adore the staff, they're so sweet and dog friendly. However, the taxes at this place is ridiculous. Go to the shops around the area, you only pay $2/$4 in taxes. After almost 2 years of being a loyal customer-I'M DONE. Being nearly ASSAULTED by another customer while the staff DID NOTHING-and then blamed me is enough. Not only am I writing this review sadly, but I am filing a police report and alerting the proper authorities about this incident. Today this happened: I stopped by the store as I was driving by at mid-day there was no line and plenty of parking. Thought it would be a quick in-and-out. I walked up with my small sweet dog and handed my ID to the female employee (20s, long curly hair). WEIRD that she asked me 3 times for my phone number, despite holding my identification in her hand. I simply asked why she was asking for my phone number, as I have never been asked before and she had my ID and my info CLEARLY IN THE SYSTEM. I only asked because several times lately there have been changes and changes with the credit card machines and hadn't been inside recently). Then I heard the only other person in the waiting area repeating back my phone number like a total creep (this guy clearly did not have a valid form of I.D. because he was not allowed into the dispensary and was waiting for his friend to come out with her bag of weed-which he snatched out of her hands once we got outside and the incident occured.) Legal? I don't think so. Back to the incident: I asked the employee for my ID back and said "I don't want to deal with this guy-I will come back later" and headed for door. I heard this man who seemed, frankly, like he had a serious drug problem or mental health issue, saying 'RELAX B*tch, relax b*tch' in a very hostile way-and I replied something to the effect of "What did you say to me?" He then charged at me, running out the door towards me, and I started screaming for help from people on the street. I screamed for the female employee to get the security guard-enter THIS GUY in photo. He then watched as the derelict customer opened up his water bottle and threw at me covering my phone with water in the doorway of the Higher Path. THE SECURITY GUARD did nothing and then told me that since he didn't 'touch me' that there was nothing for him to do and I was the problem. He said the guy "was a chill dude." He watched the guy commit a crime, damaging my phone (not sure if it's broken or not yet). Then I waited outside by my car and got HARRISON + JESSICA, (the Manager who refused to come out and speak with me) on phone and both stood by the guy with the gun (in photo). IN FACT, Jessica tried to GASLIGHT ME and say that none of what I said was true because on video tape she did not see his hands touch me. He ATTEMPTED TO ASSAULT ME AND I GOT OUT OF THE WAY IN TIME-AND THEN VANDALIZED MY PROPERTY. That's where I draw the line. The ONLY OTHER TIME I have ever had any kind of negative incident here, it involved one of the security guards (which I reported and was encouraged by a female manager, the one with partially shaved head-don't know her name, and told to 'write a negative review about him' on this site so that THE OWNERS/HIGHER UPS would pay attention. Apparently he had other complaints. OH, AND I KNOW people who are 'in the cannabis industry' who will want to hear about this. GOOD LUCK. They charge an absurd fee to use credit and debit cards, so I decided to just use cash. I ordered online, received a confirmation and an order total/ $33.51. So, I walked down there (I live right behind the shop) with EXACT change only to be told that my order is $34.00. I said "Sorry, your site said my order was actually $33.51." The employee said "well we don't have any change here" to which I replied "oh I don't need change, I brought the exact amount." Then I hear, "sorry we don't actually use change here, so we round up." Me:"Uh, you round up?" Her: "Yeah. We round up." Me: "But the order is $33.51, right?" Her: "Yeah." Me: "so why do I have to pay more?" Her: "Because we don't deal with change." Me: "That's not how money works. If I worked at Starbucks and you ordered a coffee and I told you it's $3.52, how much should you have to pay for that coffee?" Her: "I don't wanna have this conversation right now. Do you have $34 or not?" Me: "No, I have $33.51 which is the amount of money I owe you. Everyone was really nice and my budtender (Teresa) was patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. -Free T-shirt for first-time customers, along with 10% off. -They also have all sorts of daily deals happening as well as discounts for online reviews. -Charming interior. -Like most dispensaries, they can't accept credit cards. Not clear on all the details, but it's basically because marijuana is still illegal on a federal level. In addition to cash, they do accept debit cards which is a plus. THE BAD: -Wasn't super thrilled about their stock. Didn't have too many sativa disposable pens available (two options) and both were priced at $50 plus. Also, they do not weigh anything in front of you and whatever you smelled or chose, is in the back and pre-packaged in a dangerous ass slice your hand apart while high tuna can. I called and they have my favorite Sativa spawn of OG Purple and Cookies- CANDYLAND. To combat my anxiety I did some research on cannabis products and found a dispensary near me (which happened to be Higher Path). Having never been to a dispensary, I expected it to be a Bob Marley themed dungeon with Cheech and Chong types behind the counter. This goes to show how ignorant I was. The space was clean and bright with very professional and knowledgeable staff. I told them I was a noob and they hooked me up with some free swag, then walked me through my various options. I walked out with a bag full of goodies and had a wonderful experience. Since then, they've helped me find the right strain / dosage to manage my anxiety and I've been feeling a whole hell of a lot better! If you're nervous to try it out, like I was, don't be.
