The woman pictured ruined my face!!!! I went for what I thought was a sunspot and considered Picoway. It got huge and spread throughout my face. When I returned she said it's melasma! Now why didn't she say that from the beginning since lasers make melasma worse!!!??? Horrible experience and obviously still dealing with this problem :( read more

Dr Herschthal has a wonderful bedside manner-he made me feel special by spending as much time as he needed. He is very thorough and explains what and why he is doing during the skin exam. The staff is always friendly and courteous and getting an appointment is a breeze. I have had to wait 6-9 months to see dermatologists in Ohio -2-3 week wait is glorious! I highly recommend this practice if you want a knowledgeable dermatologist. read more

I remember going here when i lived in boca, very icky awkward experience, made me feel bad about my rosacea. Ive been to many derms, this one falls into the very rude, rushes you, doesnt care, category. Wanted me to buy all these products and expensive laser treatments, when I realized the root cause of my issues at a Functional Doctor is PARASITES, not lack of expensive creams. haha. Some $2 ivermectin and later, alinia pills healed me, and my root cause. Glad I didnt wallpaper over the symptoms and found the reason. God forbid derms ever care to actually investigate instead of racking up charges. read more

I've been coming here for years, after my mother was referred for Mohs surgery by her Dermatologist in The Bahamas. I've never seen any of the actual doctors at this practice, but instead see Philip (I believe he is a PA) who is excellent at skin checks related to sun damage. Over the years he's spotted several freckles of concern and often been quite right as the biopsies have come back abnormal. No need to worry, every thing has been caught quite early and I'm 100% healthy :) Truth is, West Boca is a FARRR drive for me, and getting there during their office hours only adds to my annoyance and at one point I did see another Dermatologist closer to home, but wasn't happy at all and switched back to see Philip. I'm very happy with Philip's bedside manner and his ability to make me feel comfortable as well as his explanation of things. read more

I wish I would have found these guys years ago. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by a smiling receptionist who quickly gets you settled in. The decor and vibe of the whole place is a modern art type of look it just screams cleanliness and care. All the doctors and nurses are really communicative and let you know what's going happen every step of you visit. I only wish I could give them more than five stars. Overrated is the best way to describe this aesthetic dermatologist-He wasn't as good as his reviews state he was its unfortunate.His fillers must half filled with water maybe it's his way to trick patients into keep returning..I realize it's a business but, patient results should be his number priority. I really believe you need to see a plastic surgeon when it comes to getting the results you want -This experience taught me that.My recommendation for this Doctor is a one star very disappointing to say the least. read more

My wife started at this practice a few years ago. She is a patient of Dr. Jordana and thinks the world of her. Since I had never been to a Dermatologist before, she recommended that I get a complete scan. So, I went and had some items removed, by Dr. David Herschthal, that were annoying, including some scales from the sun., but nothing serious. This was a few years back and I am now a regular customer. A few weeks ago, I noticed a sore on the top of my ear that wasn't clearing up and Dr. David had a biopsy done. It came back as Basal cell Carcinoma. Dr. Jordana did a MOH procedure and removed a couple layers of skin, along with the bad cells. Her Assistant, Lulu, was excellent and very nice. All good now, malignancy removed and I got a small skin graft by Dr. Scott Farber, who is nearby. He did a fine job, and also has a terrific staff. If you need caring Doctors, with a super competent and friendly staff, come to the Herschthal practice. They are the best in Florida, with beautiful offices, glass windows, and views of the billowing clouds drifting by to keep you relaxed. They are really good at their profession and deserve my five star rating. Come and see them. They have my utmost respect. read more

Terrible best practice . I came in for a cosmetic consultation and was fraudulent charged through the front office as a full body exam . A full body exam consist of a physician examining your body , which wasn't rendered . When I contacted the Billing Department about the error , the lady was rude and ignorant . I had to contact my insurance , Blue Cross Blue Shield and advised of the illegal billing . This practice is rude and unethical. read more

Went here to treat my hyperpigmentation and the doctor recommended an IPL treatment. I was not pleased with the results. My face had dark brown scabs for two weeks and once the scabs fell off I was left with white patches (hypopigmentation) all over my face that took months to go away. I chose this procedure because I was told there was no down time and that it would get rid of my brown spots. This was not the case. An expensive lesson to learn. The office was nice and the staff friendly, but I will not return. read more

It was a great experience and would highly recommend them. Went to have a simple skin tag removed, however she ended up doing much more for the same price. I don't EVER write reviews, but this one i just had to sign up to review. The people running this place have lost their minds! Just to be seen by a dr. their fee is 275!!!!! Keep in mind the rate range at nearly every other derm practice is 75-125. (I say nearly every other because i didn't call every single derm office in a 100 mile radius.) Now ad in the fact that you only get 15 minutes for the appointment as they schedule ever 15 minutes. I asked numerous times if there was something i was missing in the service(s) offered as it was so exorbitantly higher than everyone else. Nope, its the exact same procedure you'll get at any other derm office. There is absolutely no rhyme or reason as to why these people think they can charge such ridiculous fees. This breaks down to 1100 bucks an hour. Crazy, just CRAZY. read more

When I went for my appointment, the staff insisted on using an internet-accessible provider (SaaS) to collect my medical and insurance (financial) records. If you care about such things (I do) and trust the online provider to be able to keep your data secure, then this is not an issue. I chose to avoid the risk and see another doctor. read more

I never write reviews, but after the first appointment, I felt it necessary to write a good review. Now I felt that it was imperative that I write a second review. I would give 0 stars if it would let me!! The office called and rescheduled my appointment several times. Two days before my appointment, the office called and moved me up an hour earlier. I said I would try to do my best, I had to work and also change around my babysitter. I was on my way to the office, when they called me in the car. I told them my location and that I would be there in 10 minutes. They said ok. When I walked into the office, they said that the Doctor just left. I was never so outraged in my life. I asked them why they did not call me back and just reschedule. The answer was because she just walked out the door. I changed my work schedule and my child are around, they called me to see were I was, an they let me come almost 20 minutes out of my way to tell me she just left. NO APOLOGIES or anything!!! One of the assistants came out and try to help me. By the time I left I was shaking! I have never been treated so poorly anywhere. The next day the Doctor left a message on the machine stating she heard there was a problem and glad it was fixed and that I needed to make appointments for the next 3 months for a year!! Again, no Apologies. I certainly hope I don't get a bill, for I will send one back with my hourly rate and a bill for my babysitter!! read more
