When you enter the office, you are greeted by friendly staff who know what they're doing. All of the paperwork is automated and you just need to review and then sign the tablet. No paper, no pen, and since they populate most of the info for you from you insurance and ID cards, it's a huge time saver. There was zero wait time and I was called back into a room by the very amicable and professional, Valentina. She asked all of the pre-visit questions and really took copious notes on the reason for my visit and some historical questions. Once we were done, she quickly conferred with Daisy and then Daisy was in the room within a few minutes. Daisy was fantastic. She really listened to what had been going on, created a diagnosis and strategy and very thoroughly explained what she believed was happening, why it was happening and the steps we were going to take to get it under control. She wrote down the steps I needed yo take and gave me a couple of free samples to get me started. Check out was just as easy. Made the follow up appt for two weeks later, as per Daisy's request and off I went. It's been 4 days and my skin is getting back to it's warm and glowing self and just when I couldn't rave more about RSB Dermatology- I get a sure rise call from Daisy this morning to check on my progress. Shut the front door!! When does that ever happen? Apparently, it happens all the time here. So, long story extra long, I highly recommend and look forward to my next appt. Most of them have faded over the years, but two small ones remain, so we wanted to see if laser treatment would be an option. The doctor took the time to carefully examine her and gave us an honest recommendation. He explained that she's still too young for the procedure because she would likely need anesthesia for laser treatment. Instead of rushing into it, he advised us to wait until she's around 10 years old, when the birthmarks may become less noticeable on their own and laser treatment would be easier and safer. We truly appreciated his professionalism and honesty. It's refreshing to meet a doctor who puts the patient's best interests first instead of recommending an unnecessary procedure. The office itself is beautiful, clean, and welcoming. The staff was kind, friendly, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. He was highly recommended to me by my regular dermatologist when I found out I would need Moh's surgery. It's nice to find a doctor recommended by another doctor and mutually respected. But everyone I encountered in Dr. Marcus' office were equally as pleasant and professional. My first encounter was for a consultation as I met Dr. Marcus and staff. They had the information from my dermatologist but confirmed everything. And they took photos. They also explained the procedure. And gave me pre-surgery instructions. At that time, I scheduled my surgery as soon as I could -- allowing for time to return for follow-ups before other obligations and Christmas vacation. As the surgery itself could take some time, I had my husband drive me to the office and wait for me to be finished. They are very clear that the office is cool so to make sure you come dressed appropriately and that as this surgery can vary from 2 to 6 hours depending on your situation, you should bring reading materials or other things to occupy your time while waiting for the test results. My surgery, as it turned out, didn't take as long as I thought, although it was a bit more complicated that we thought it would be. I got full instructions for taking care of my surgical areas and another appointment to return about a week later. I'm now still in the "care" process and will go back for another final follow up. In any case, so far, I'm quite pleased with both Dr. Marcus and his office. As I mentioned, all the nurses and technicians and even the receptionist are so personable and welcoming. The atmosphere adds to the confidence you will have in Dr. Marcus' ability to take care of you the best way possible.
