We hired her for our annual summer party to entertain the kids and she did a great job with them. She made the girls look like fairy princesses with face paint and glitter. She painted unicorns, rainbows, super heroes, you name it and she did it. But it was the adults that were literally lining up to get painted! She did an Avatar, Misfit logo, glow in the dark skeleton, the US flag, arm tattoos, henna, the Chicago Bears, everything. She was supposed to be there for 2 hours and she stayed for 5 hours. Allison was the hit of the party and we're hiring her for next year. She was simply amazing!

She was patient, kind and had a vision for my hair. Before I met Theodora, I was having a hard time finding a hair stylist that would do onsite for my wedding. She not only came onsite to do all my bridesmaids and myself she came on time and ready. Theodora had a created a timeline for each girl getting her hair done. This was beyond helpful to a busy bride. She is professional and the best to work with. I would highly recommend her, if you would like someone with talent, professionalism and a great personality.

LOL. However, luckily for me (and you all), she was recommended to me, and I feel it's only right to pay it forward...... Theodora has now served as my hairstylist for BOTH routine hair care (i.e. highlights, haircut) and bridal hairstyling for my big day. Routine Hair Care: Theodora always uses Redken bleach (for those curious gurus out there) for coloring, including for my full head of blonde highlights. She also does my layered haircuts. I can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten (including from random strangers on Michigan Avenue) ever since she's been doing my hair. The icing on the cake? It all was $95 and took two hours. UNBELIEVABLE. She does charge an extra $5-$10 for a blowdry depending on the type of hair you have. She also does a deep conditioning treatment (DIVINE!) for about $5. All her prices are extremely reasonable. Bridal Hairstyling: She offered a very affordable trial ($50) and was extremely flexible about meeting times. On the day of the wedding, Theodora showed up 15 minutes early. Yes, she travels to you! I cannot tell you how invaluable this service is on a hectic wedding day. She did blow-outs for both Moms and low chignons for the 4 bridesmaids. She also did a half up-do with curls for myself. It took her about 4 hours total to do all 7 of our heads. The hairstyles lasted all day and night and even through the following day for myself. The icing on the cake? It was all $450 total. Theodora is an extremely great listener and fully "gets" your ideas. Her real talent is taking the idea a notch further making your hair look THAT MUCH BETTER. Invaluable, I'm telling you. Everything about Theodora's hairstyling services is perfect. I can't recommend her enough! You won't be disappointed!

Renni's nail…read moreart is beautiful, Grace gives an amazing foot massage, the salon is beautifully decorated, they offer complimentary drinks and snacks, and they have a great selection of polishes. Unfortunately, the customer experience has been consistently overshadowed by long wait times and poor scheduling. Whether I book an appointment or walk in, I almost always end up waiting. Most recently, I waited over an hour past my appointment time before being seen. This wasn't a one-time occurrence--it's been a recurring issue throughout the months I've been coming here. What made the situation more frustrating was being told by the front desk that they had never been instructed to stop accepting walk-ins, even when appointment schedules were full. That explains why having an appointment often feels meaningless. I've also been told there was enough time for both a manicure and pedicure, only to end up staying well past closing. I've even offered to split services and come back another day to help accommodate scheduling challenges, but the delays continue. After waiting over an hour at my most recent appointment, I asked whether anything could be done for the inconvenience. For the second time, the manager told me he couldn't offer a discount because he needed to pay his employees. That response completely missed the point. No customer is suggesting employees shouldn't be paid. The issue is management repeatedly overbooking, running behind schedule, and failing to respect customers' time. As a parent with a husband and baby waiting for me at home, an extra hour isn't a minor inconvenience. Time matters. If the salon had been transparent about wait times and taken accountability for the recurring delays, I likely would have remained a customer. The technicians are talented, and the salon itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, great service can only go so far when appointment times are treated as optional and customer concerns are met with excuses instead of solutions. Beautiful salon. Talented technicians. Consistently poor time management.
