I had the absolute pleasure of working with Liz Goldstein on my move. It was my first move in a very long time and Liz was FANTASTIC. It was great working with Amanda Baffa and the Heller group! Amanda showed us great listings exactly as advertised and within our budget. She made it easy to view and access the apartments around our busy schedules and was super professional and courteous. The lease signing process was quick and easy, they have an attentive and dedicated staff. Highly recommend! read more

Heller Management has been a nightmare if an apt managing company for my NYC apt. packages are constantly getting stolen and I've asked them to help but they have not done anything. they are very unwilling to help their tenants and more concerned with raising rents then keeping their tenants happy. read more

I had such a great experience working with Cathy and The Heller Organization! As a non-U.S. citizen it has been a challenge for me for years to sign a lease on my own. Cathy did an amazing job guiding me through the application process and helped me get approved for the apartment I wanted. She responded to all my emails and questions right away. Definitely recommend her! read more

I am in the market for a 1 bedroom. I stopped by the leasing office for their Williamsburg building. When I tried extending my hand, I was refused a handshake with no explanation by my leasing agent. It was embarrassing for me and it was insulting. I was not treated with the dignity and respect that he later showed his male clients. Sexism is sexism, even when motivated by religious convictions. To have their employees exhibit this to female apartment seekers is inappropriate in our culture and I will never be renting an apartment from this organization. To boot-the finishes were hideous. Lime Green kitchen cabinets and putrid yellow in the bathroom. read more

Amanda is such a helpful and patient woman! She answered all of my questions (sometimes more than once) and walked me through the endless lease 20x times. She really inspires a sense of trustworthiness seldom equaled in the real estate business. I def recommend working with her! read more

My roommate and I had a great experience woking with Amanda Baffa! I reached out regarding a couple listings I found on StreetEasy and she helped us determine which would be the best fit. We were both out of town while looking for apartments, but she quickly arranged for our friend to view the unit in person on our behalf. She also took time to thoroughly answer all of our questions about the apartment, building, application process, and lease, so I felt comfortable when signing. After signing, she even arranged for the internet provider to contact me to schedule installation on move-in day. I would recommend working with Amanda! read more

Just came back from being shown an apartment by Amanda Baffa. We were rushed through with little useful info provided. Questions were answered with questions. At times, Amanda was downright nasty. I tried to take a picture of one of the bedrooms. Instead of asking me not to take pictures, she hissed "don't take pictures". We asked to see the amenities and were begrudgingly rushed through some, not all. I have looked at a lot of apartments in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. Amanda was actually the worst agent I have ever encountered. I was interested in this building because of its location but I ended up throwing out the few materials we were provided because of the lack of professionalism I experienced. I won't be willing to look at any other apartments with this agency because of this experience. read more

I was in the market for a rental apartment in Manhattan recently and sought the help of The Heller Organization in my search. I worked with Rebecca, who was phenomenal from the outset. She took the time to discover what it was I and my roommates were in search of and quickly curated a list of viable apartments which satisfied all of our search criteria. At the same time, she ensured that this list featured a variety of spaces in order to showcase the diversity of apartments which our budget could afford us, e.g. doorman building vs. walk-up, different neighborhoods, et cetera. As a first-time renters in NY who were not entirely certain of the kind of place in which we wanted to live, we found this to be particularly helpful in identifying what type of apartment we would ultimately choose to rent. Rebecca was incredibly responsive to all my communication and was able to answer any questions which arose throughout the process. When viewing apartments and speaking with her, it was clear that she is incredibly knowledgeable of the market, the array of neighborhoods in which we were looking, and the apartments themselves. Rebecca provided great insight without putting any pressure on us. From my interactions with a few other brokers, it became clear to me that many only have an interest in closing a deal -- even if it left the client discontent. This could not have been further from the truth for Rebecca; it is apparent that her sole objective is the satisfaction of the client. I can say unequivocally that Rebecca achieved this objective with me. I will be sure to work with her whenever I am in the market for an apartment in the future. read more

I was very pleased with Amanda from The Heller Organization. She showed us the apartment several times as it took us time to decide. She answered all of our questions very thoroughly and was willing to accommodate most of our requests. On top of that she was super nice and professional from the beginning until signing the lease and explaining us all the different clauses in it. I would definitely recommend working with the organization and Amanda in particular! read more

60 Fulton is a gorgeous building!! Amanda, thank you for suggesting I look at it, and Cathy, thank you for taking the time to show me all my options! I just want to say, also, that I looked at a lot of buildings in FiDi shown by all types of brokers, and I was very impressed by both of your professionalism. So thank you very much! read more

I had a really unprofessional experience with Heller. I saw a great apartment and tried to work with Heller's agent to view the unit. The agent canceled on multiple scheduled viewing appointments with very little notice. So, knowing NYC is a difficult real estate market, I went to the building to see if someone could let me in to view the unit, and the doorman showed me the place and it looked great. I then asked for an application and the agent said she would send me an application within an hour and never did. A few hours later, the unit was closed to applications and the agent was still asking me to apply and pay the $100 fee, even though the unit was off the market. Of course, the company is under no obligation to be anything better than a jerk to people who are not yet their tenants, but for those looking at units in Heller buildings: beware. read more

My roommate and I had a fantastic experience with the Heller Organization and this was chiefly because of Amanda Baffa. She is the absolute BEST! She was so quick to respond to all of our inquiries, she was personable, and very transparent when addressing our questions and concerns. I cannot imagine what our apartment search would have been like without her. Amanda was phenomenal - I highly recommend her as a realtor! read more

Amanda was really great throughout my process of seeking a studio in Financial District. She was extremely professional, responsive, patient, and made an effort to satisfy what I was looking for in an apartment. As I was signing the lease, she went through the pages covering all relevant items. Would definitely recommend to anyone going forward to work with her and The Heller Organization. read more

I have had not one, but TWO amazing experiences with The Heller Organization! They initially helped me sell my one bedroom apartment on the UES, and Adam and Dana somehow managed to get me three full offers within the first week. And the accepted offer was above my asking price! I was so pleased with my experience, that my husband and I then used them to purchase our next apartment. It was no easy task as we were dealing with a crazy NYC market, but Adam and Dana both worked diligently to find our amazing new home! In addition to personally taking us to see a TON of apartments, they always made our needs a priority and they guided us through the entire process with ease (including the crazy application process!) and they were there for us literally every step of the way. I couldn't have asked for better experiences, and I would highly recommend The Heller Organization! read more

We recently moved into the Exhibit at 29 Cliff St. and The Heller Orginization was great throughout the process. We travel quite a bit during the winter months and so our schedule was extremely hectic. The window to tour the building, select a unit and move in was very small. Jessica Copeland and Rebecca Heller were both incredibly helpful. They were each knowledgeable, thorough and always accommodating and responsive whenever we had questions. The building is great we're grateful to Rebecca, Jessica and entire Heller Organization for their assistance throughout the process. read more

I can say with full confidence that if you're in the market to rent or own an apartment in the greater NYC area, look no further. I worked with Adam to purchase an apartment in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Throughout the process of searching for a place that met my wife and my interests/budget he was always there in constant communication displaying utmost professionalism. Never pressuring us and always looking out for our best interest. His knowledge and experience in the NYC markets are extremely comforting for a first time buyer like myself. Along with Steve W. they were able to assist us in finding a new home and guide us through the extensive process of the co-op board application. What would normally be a strenuous process ended up being very simple and smooth with Adam and Steve's assistance. read more

Thanks to Dana, I finally was able to nail down a home I love. Quite frankly, we need more professionals like her around. She knew every single detail of the building she showed me - she didn't have to check and get back to me as she had already done her research. In this crazy housing market, having a broker who really knows what she's doing is a godsend. Her level of competence is unparalleled. When I was ready to move forward she got it done and immediately. read more

I worked with Dana at Heller to buy an UES co-op and had a fantastic experience! Dana was professional, dedicated, warm, honest, and always had my best interest in mind. Buying a place in NYC is a long, confusing, and invasive process. Dana helped me through every step of the process, patiently explaining everything in detail and connecting me with all the other moving parts (mortgage bankers, lawyers, etc). I communicated with her almost on a daily basis for 4 months and saw dozens of listings and apartments with her. I finally found a perfect one bedroom for an excellent price in a lovely neighborhood. I'm usually very wary of salespeople (and I don't post many Yelp reviews either), but I really feel fortunate to have found Dana (and I LOVE my apartment!!). read more

I have nothing but good things to say about The Heller Organization! We worked with Rebecca, and she was absolutely phenomenal. She was able to find us a beautiful apartment in a doorman building for an amazing deal and in a very timely fashion. Unlike many brokers in NYC, she isn't focused on making that commission - she always puts her client's best interest first. I would recommend The Heller Organization to anyone and fully plan on using them in the future! read more

It's always a challenge finding an apartment in NYC and thankfully this time around, I had the pleasure of working with Rebecca at The Heller Organization. She was hands down, the best agent I've ever worked with. She was kind, patient, and took the time to understand exactly what my roommate and I were looking for. Not only that, but she found us an INCREDIBLE apartment in our current neighborhood for an amazing price. The Heller Org is top notch! My husband and I worked with Rebecca at The Heller Org to purchase our first apartment in Manhattan and we couldn't have had a better experience. As a nervous, first time buyers, we had no idea what the process entailed and Rebecca of The Heller Org walked my husband and I through every step. She made herself available at all times to answer questions and was very transparent with us on what we could expect and what we had to do on our end to secure the apartment we loved! The NYC market moves fast and our apartment had 4 bids on it and it saw over 100 people at the open house, yet with Rebecca and Adam's strategic approach, we were able to get the apartment of our dreams without going beyond our comfort zone budget wise. Our building is a co-op and there were several parts of the process that we had to go through that were at times nerve wracking yet I always felt I was in good hands with Rebecca. The team at Heller Org is knowledgeable, transparent, professional and Rebecca went above and beyond for us. We couldn't be more happy with our purchase and I would (and have!) highly recommend Rebecca and The Heller Org to represent you during your apartment purchase or rental. My husband and I trusted their advice, appreciated their reassurance and truly felt that they had our best interests in mind throughout the entire process.
