They had everything from farm animals (like goats, sheep's, llamas) to exotic animals (like a zebra, kangaroo and a camel), to u-fishing, and to 1/4 mile hike. There really was so many things to do. You could easily spend almost the day there. My husband, 3 year old, and 22 month loved it and all were sad to leave for different reasons. My husband wanted to stay longer because he wanted to fish more, my 3 year old daughter wanted to hug and pet the goats, and my 22 month old son wanted to drive the toddler McLaren car. Unfortunately, it was I who wanted to leave because I had a killer migraine. Suffice to say, we will return on a day where I don't have an all-day migraine so that I have the energy to push my toddler in that car. Parking is plentiful and is free. Restrooms are portapotties. Bring your own lunch and enjoy your time with family!

They're both very friendly and happy to chat about their animals and the work they do. Their natural honey is outstanding -- smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with attention to quality. You can tell it's the real deal. The goats and chickens add so much character to the place, and it's just a pleasant, down-to-earth spot to visit. If you're looking for locally made honey or just want to support a small family farm with heart, I definitely recommend checking out Dancing Goats and Singing Chickens.

SUPPORT LOCAL- This…read moreis a small family farm very worthy of your support. Dancing Goats and Singing Chickens, a small family farm , is very responsive via phone, text, and facebook messenger. I have purchased fruit trees, wood chips, firewood, and pumpkins. Next year I want to come out to harvest chestnuts. They even have goats you can rent to clean up your land. This is a welcoming, family friendly place guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Did I mention organic? Yes! Farmer Ayub does have another job to pay the mortgage, so please plan on coming out on their days open which are Thursday, Saturday and Sunday (7-am to 7pm). But of course contact them first before heading out, just in case they are away at an event. They do so many wonderful & interesting things here on this farm just outside of Yelm, Wa. They always keep everyone informed and are active on their facebook page regarding the happenings on the farm and what they are up to. I really enjoyed meeting Farmer Ayub and his family. He is very knowledgable & hard working. I will soon be buying their local honey, I can't wait! Marketing name: "QUEENIE BEE RAW HONEY FARMS" Please call 360-489-2830 before you start driving so that you make sure that they are home on the farm. Usually, their small family farm is open on Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays from 7 AM to 7 PM As noted on their fb page: "Its main focus is not on making money, but on educating the children using the PETTING ZOO as a focal point of teaching. With great amount of enthusiasm and passion, the volunteers in the community hold OPEN HOUSE educational events at the farm to share knowledge during workshops on greenhouse construction, solar panels, wind turbines, composting, Hugelculture, honey bees, rain water harvesting, Earthship homes, sustainable living, lowering our foot-print and responsible financial investments."
