Went here for Sunday early evening dinner with the boyff. When we walked in, we were greeted immediately by a smiling chap asking How we were and if we had a reservation. We didn't, but he found us a table in the corner which was fine. He took our drinks order immediately and gave us the menus to look through. It was quite an extensive menu to be fair, without going over the top with a wide variety of fare on offer. We picked what we wanted and didn't wait long until we were served our starters. I went for a cheese soufflé which was cooked perfectly, he went for a fish soup which again, was cooked spot on. It was in a large bowl too and not some small silly sized bowl. Once they were finished the plates were quickly cleared away. We didn't wait long for our mains, I went for a burger and chips, he had Hake with squid, mussels and new potatoes. Sides of French beans and dauphinois potatoes. Boyff really liked his dish and it did look pretty amazing to be fair, that of a standard to restaurants in town. Okay, mine is a basic staple on all gastro pub menus and it was standard for that level, the Boyff said his was really good and all the fish cooked perfectly and had great flavouring to it. The service was very good and the waitress was attentive without being in your face. I asked the question about the dauphinois potatoes as when I tasted them, they tasted of fish, (as I hate the stuff), but I left it at that not pushing the point. When she returned with the bill, she had taken the drinks off the bill, which I thought was a nice touch. Toilets were really clean and nicely presented. Plenty of outside seating if the weather allows! Definitely go back again. Mine was same as any gastro down to what I ordered, but the boyff's was really good and there are many more dishes that sounded delicious that he wants to try!

    Absolutely great food.

Honestly, after The Ledbury got its third star, I was a little worried it might get too "precious"…read moreor stiff. I've been to enough 3-star spots in London where the food looks like a science experiment but tastes like nothing. Thankfully, Brett Graham is still keeping it real. The plating is genuinely stunning--the kind of art where you actually want to stop and take a photo--but the best part is that it's actually delicious. It's food you genuinely enjoy eating, not just something you admire for the technique. The pigeon courses were the absolute standout for me. They serve it in stages, which I loved. You get this perfectly glazed breast that is so tender it's basically like butter, followed by a little "snack" of the leg that has this incredible deep, smoky flavor. It's rare to find a place that treats game with that much respect without overcomplicating it. If you're on the fence, definitely go for the wine pairing. The Sommelier was a total legend--super approachable, no snobbery, and clearly obsessed with what's in the cellar. The pairings were exceptional and honestly made the meal for me. They aren't just pouring the standard labels; they're finding really interesting stuff that makes the earthy notes in the pigeon pop. Price-wise, it's a 3-star Michelin in Notting Hill, so it's going to be a hit to the wallet. It's on par with the other big names in the city, but it felt worth every penny for a special night out. The service is polished, but they don't make you feel like you're sitting in a library--you can actually have a laugh and enjoy yourself. Easily one of the best dining experiences I've had in London. Period. Elite Tip: If they have the signature mushroom tartlet on the menu when you go, don't even think about it--just eat it.

Not only was the food, amazing, atmosphere, gorgeous, but the service was funny, entertaining, expressive, and personal. It wasn't stuffy like some of the restaurants we have been to. There was actual fun conversation back-and-forth. I appreciated that so much. I love London, I will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

After a glass of prosecco, we had the twice-baked cheddar souffle with mustard dressing and mackerel pate (see photo) followed by pork fillet with baby veg and madeira jus and the slow-cooked shoulder of lamb (which takes 12 hours to prepare!). We had 2 large glasses of italian red with our meal and for dessert the apricot panna cotta an an Irish coffee mousse with ice-cream. The whole meal was totally delicious, very light and bursting with freshness and flavour. Including the drinks and coffee it came to £56 for 2. A new favourite.

My mom had the calf liver, which she said was cooked perfectly. My dad had the chicken breast, which was succulent and moist. The food is flavorful, yet unpretentious, and the bistro provides a warm, inviting environment, like the staff does as well. Highly recommend!
