A quiet dinner at The Harbour. The views are lovely, but that's about it. The aperitifs are straight out of a 1980s drinks card and not well prepared. I todays world of drinks, the Screwdriver is NOT an option.
Each item on the menu is generally over priced by 30-40kr compared to similar dishes in other restaurants. The quality of the food is fine, but it had a weird taste when you know you're being overcharged.
The wine card has bottles (in the middle to expensive range) a few 1/2 bottles, but only a handful of wines by the glass. As this is a restaurant in a hotel I'm surprised that the wine by the glass option is so limited.
The service is what reduces the experience to 2 stars.
In an almost empty restaurant, we were stressed by the staff to select drinks, our bread basket was removed while there was still bread in it - we were asked twice if we had finished our meal (we only got a main because of the prices) when we had clearly not, and overall, the waiter was rushing us. For what? There were plenty of empty tables and NO ONE waiting to be seated.
When we asked for our bill, he miscalculated and overall it was a disappointing experience.
The location is so great, I can imagine great opportunities in the summer for drinks in the sun - but the way this is currently set up, you're paying for the location, not the food, drink nor service :( read more
