I had a small PB&J smoothie bowl, Golden Butter Curry Bowl, and a Chai Latte; my buddy had a smoothie bowl, Buffalo Tofu Wrap, and a fresh pressed apple juice that was a lovely light chartreuse color. He then topped off with a Blueberry Poptart and a coffee. Yummers! We were going to eat on the nice covered patio but the thunderstorm moved in and the rain was lashing in so we ate inside comfortably situated watching the light show outside. After eating we shopped for supplies in the attached natural grocery then headed home in the sunshine.

The result was robustly flavored and fit my need for an early meal. The location is part of a mixed residential and retail complex that was a bit odd to navigate. They also had a bunch of smoothies and such, and I noted one customer who actually asked for the non-dairy nut milk to be replaced with dairy milk. I found it amusing that we've gotten to a point where someone ordering food has to explain that they're not a vegan. If you are avoiding dairy, however, there's plenty for you here, and I could not expect a small place in a town like this to fill its niche much better.

Now- keep in mind it is a Waffle House, so I'm giving 5 Stars on a "Waffle House" scale. But these…read moreother negative reviews are TRASH! The whole team was more welcoming than some family I have. From Tim VA Waffle House Mgr, to Elliot our Manager in Training to my server Danielle, I couldn't speak more highly of this location and this team! Now, let's get into the nitty gritty. This is hands down, the cleanest WH I have ever been to! Gloves were worn, bathroom was clean and I even saw Elliot cleaning above the refrig. (I love to see a manager doing more than management!) Food was as good as always, love that they use real eggs, hot and fresh, my scattered hash browns were perfect and my pecan waffle was a delight. Bravo to this location and the great team they have! Give this place a try, it's like coming home to a warm breakfast hug!

We arrived and were told rather rudely to be seated and someone would be with us shortly. There were multiple tables open. After being seated at the bar and perusing the menu we both decided on a regular breakfast. Two eggs, grits, toast, and sausage. The lady taking our order did not want to be there. The young man cooking, I believe his name was John did a fabulous job. Not only did he turn and greet everyone as they came through the door he also cooked a mean breakfast. Both my little lamb and myself were impressed with the quality of the food and the demeanor of most of the employees. I had forgotten how comforting a nice home cooked breakfast could be. Before we left I visited the restroom and dear God!! The carnage in that room should not have been viewed by any adult and I'm sure a small child would forever be scarred by the vision that assaulted my eyes. It was filthy and that is all that needs to be said. This location was pretty hit and miss but the food, the reason we stopped, was just fine. I recommend taking care of your bathroom business elsewhere.
