On my most recent visit last weekend my husband and I visited their beer garden. I have had this on my agenda for quite some time and finally found the perfect weekend to go. For some reason I always pictured in my head the beer garden being a big white tent with some picnic benches inside. Well I was clearly wrong. The beer garden was so much larger and nicer than I expected. They have a ton of outdoor seating, a stage for live music, a bar to get your beverages and multiple food trucks that sometimes rotate each weekend. There were shaded seats and seats that get plenty of sun and it is all dog friendly! My husband and I each had two beers and some snacks from the food trucks. We will definitely be back, we just wish this was closer to home for us!

Consistency is key!…read more My fav Hot Dog trucks here today so decided to drop by for my CATALYST fix! Picked up our usual and decided to try a cider beer. I'm not really a fan of beer but the cider beer was ok... Always welcoming and friendly. They usually have a variety of trucks out here in addition to my favorite one... Today's options were Wood Fire Pizza and another Greek/Mediterranean Truck. One day I'll venture through the flower nursery...I'm sure I'm gonna LOVE walking the there...I'm a lover of all flowers so...maybe next time. Check this place out! Happy Yelping!

This place is quite a surprise since it looks like an unassuming nursery from the roadside,…read morecarrying your typical items like flowers, shrubs, trees and stone. But in order to find the treasure, you need to walk into the covered area, where they store the local produce. My only complaint is the pricing. A bit steep, but if you want to support the local farms and enjoy some of the freshest tasting fruit and vegetables than ignore the register as it rings up your purchase. The corn is not displayed but you just have to ask and they will immediately bring you some ears. This stuff is what summers are made of - incredibly sweet and crisp kernels - the perfect pairing for your BBQ chicken or ribs. The local strawberries are intensely aromatic with a deep, rich, red hue throughout. You don't. even need a dusting of sugar for these jewels. It really puts those California behemoths you encounter in your local grocery chains to shame -all big and buff with not even an essence of berry flavor. Riva gardens also carries a variety of tomatoes, including heirlooms. Other finds include melons, cukes, peaches, potatoes, spring onions, etc., etc. They carry a huge line of jams and sauces, and even offer locally made cheese. The mozzarella and pepper jack are flavorful and reasonably priced. As if the proprietor Donna doesn't have enough on her hands, the last time I was there, she had cake samples next to the register. I tried the orange cream, and was blown away. Slices were available for purchase, but my hands were full. Next time I said. Well the weight gods must have been watching out over me, as when I came in again to get a slice, they were all sold out. Boo for the taste buds, yeah for the waistline. No matter, I will be back.

The topsoil organic mix is ok, but my 15 yd delivery had *many* large blobs of clay that I had to…read moretoss aside. Altogether maybe 1/2 yd of the 15, but dispersed throughout. Also, the compost was not premixed with the soil, rather it was in layers, like a layer cake, as if they loaded the truck with first a large scoop of mulch, then a large scoop of soil, etc. Because of these problems I had to use a rototiller to mix and break up clumps (most clumps I had to toss) before putting on the yard. I should also note that the delivery truck was from JK Enterprise, so I'm not sure, but Saunders may be subcontracting its Northern Virginia orders. If so, that is quite unethical. UPDATE: I ordered a 2nd 15 yd load of topsoil, and it was much better than the 1st. It still had some chunks of clay, but quite manageable, and the layer-cake effect was gone, i.e., the soil & mulch were well mixed. I've raised my rating to a 4*. Lesson learned: don't order after a series of rainy days.

Large pieces, rocks and even a dog bone in the mulch. It was not double shred. Also the larger pieces were not even cedar. I wont order from them again.
