The cutest toy store in Fort Worth! I love to support small businesses in the area and this one is a gem. The shop is on the smaller side but filled with quality toys and even uppa baby products! Their prices are fair and competitive with other boutique toy stores in the DFW area. I stopped by here for their 10th Birthday celebration today. It was such a fun event! They had temporary tattoos, goody bags, snacks, and so many fun activities for the kids. All the employees were so kind and patient with my son. I purchased a gift for an upcoming birthday party which they wrapped free of charge! I'll definitely stop by the next time we're in the area. Congrats to the owners on 10 years! read more

I had a hard time bringing the stroller through the door. I was the only customer there but the employee there just stood there and watched while I struggled instead of helping. The store's photos are so misleading though. It looks like there's so much room to walk around but in fact, the space is so small and so packed to the brim with display items that there's barely any room to walk around, let alone have a stroller in there to begin with! There are a lot of toys made of wood which is nice. As for value, it's definitely for those with a higher budget for toys but you get what you pay for as wooden toys tend to last a long time. read more

Play space: Met with a friend & her kids a couple weeks ago for a play date. It was our understanding (from a post on their Instagram) that the play space was free - It is not. $10 for the first kid and $2.99? for each additional and you need to sign a waiver. We gave each other a confused look but agreed to pay and go about play time. The space is an open room with a variety of eclectic toys and 'stations' to play. When you walk in, there are cubbies for the kid's shoes and other belongings. Toys range from blocks and puzzles to tents, pretend cookware, stepping blocks and other new items that the store may offer as well as a dress-up area. Free self-serve coffee with basic condiments is offered on a table in the back of the room. (yay!) A party area is located behind the play space and available to rent for around $200-300. (I requested info on it and was given information verbally so I don't remember exact figures or what is included). Restrooms are available and include diaper changing stations. Our kids range from 6mos-5years and all enjoyed their time. The area is clean for the amount of kids that play here. Retail: The storefront offers some cute boutique clothing and specialty toys. I been coming to Happy lark since February 2019 and I can't say but good things about this place. Firstly, if your a family looking for indoor fun for your children ages newborn -7 than look no further. With the wide range of ages that come there's always unlimited fun. Did I mention it's not only fun for kids but moms too? Secondly, I have enjoyed how they use a variety of creative play toys to target children and their interests. You can also buy these same toys in their store too. I thought my kids would have gotten bored after 4 months now and they absolutely love it. Thirdly, as a member,the front door staff have come to know me personally and have greeted me by name every time I come in. And they are usually on top of picking up of the indoor play area so it stays tidy and clean for other children. Fourthly, the facility is always clean and accommodating. They supply cleaning supplies and snack tables for the kids. Additionally, they provide free coffee for all those moms that need a little pick up and relaxation while their children play. Fifthly, the membership price is unbeatable for multi child. It's so reasonable and affordable per month. It makes more sense to get membership than the drop in rate if you come all the time. Overall, I and my kids have enjoyed coming to Happy Lark. Were so glad they are here in the Fort Worth area. We plan to continue coming until my kiddos have outgrown it. I can't believe it's taken me a year to write a review of my most favorite place in Fort Worth! When we moved to Fort Worth from Oak Cliff I was so nervous about finding new places to take my 4 year old - the happy Lark was the first place we visited and we've been back at least a hundred times since then. As an educator I appreciate the Montessori inspired approach to play that promotes learning and the development of social skills as well as both gross and fine motor skills. As a mom I appreciate the staff remembers my daughter by name as well as her favorite toys and items from the gift shop. Speaking of the boutique area it is the most beautifully curated collection of children's brands I've loved and supported for years mixed with an assortment of amazing toys and books. The Happy Lark also hosted my daughters 4th birthday party which Was hands down the most reasonably priced party and best value I've ever experienced. If that weren't enough the entire experience was completely stress free and the cake I'd ordered was delicious. We love the Happy Lark! read more

Be aware this has moved to 6012 southwest Blvd. I brought my 5 (almost 6) y/o daughter and found the place to be out of her age range. She quickly became bored. It is more suited to 4 and under. It was small, definitely not a place for high energy kids. The staff was nice, place was clean, and there were cool toys to buy. A bit pricey (12ish dollars) but worth it for nice staff and cleanliness. We went on to try Kid mania in far north ft worth...MUCH better suited for kids 5 and up and less expensive. read more

This playplace is great in theory, but it depends upon whether parents properly monitor their children. When kids are the appropriate age and play well with others, it is a delight. My daughter loves the changing layout and variety of toys, and I love her being able to let loose in a safe space. However, on more than one occasion, there have either been kids at the top of the age limit who are playing too rough, or kids who are over the age 6 limit that have taken over the space, hoarding crucial play items for the smaller children, pushing them out of the way, yanking toys from them, jumping off of play structures right by them, and overall making it difficult for babies to play safely. None of this would necessarily be a problem if parents stayed actively engaged and intervened to keep their kids in check, or if the staff stepped in to calm things down. I really want to keep going back because it's great on good days, but it is extremely stressful on bad days and pricey when it's a gamble whether your child will be able to safely use a lot of the play space or toys. At the very least, survey the room before you pay to see if the play level is going to be too intense for your little one. read more

I'm a member here and I have never had a complaint until today.There were 2 other moms there with there kids.The moms decided to sit and chat while their kids run wild.One of the kids were rocking in the rocker way too hard and bumped into my baby making her fall back on her head. Neither one of the moms apologized to me or my baby.I told the owner what had happened on my way out and her answer was there is nothing we can really say to the parents.I just think that they don't want to lose their business by saying something to them.So I guess they would rather take the chance of losing my business then to upset them.So if you plan on taking your kids here just know they don't really care about the safety of your child.All they care about is making money. read more
