Everyone is so loving, kind, and compassionate.. and there is no better place in the world than St. Mary's Manor in Blue Springs MO. This place is truly home in the best sense of the word. Thank you, everyone, from the bottom of a very grateful daughter's heart.

Observations: Patients in dining room unable to feed themselves and not getting assistance. Dietary aids are supposed to document how the patients are eating, which is done with paper slips tucked under their plates - they look at the plate and use the slip with the patients name for documenting the patient's eating habits. The aids only check the slips after the patients have left the dining room. They move the papers around, looking for their particular patient, so it's impossible to determine which slip belongs with which plate/patient. My Gma's Dr. ordered an X-Ray due to possible spinal compression fracture. It has been over 24 hours, still no X-Ray done. Additionally, with evidence to suggest that she has a fractured vertebra, the aids "helping" her in the restroom and getting in and out of bed *still* just heave her around like a sack of potatoes. my Gma has PRN pain medication. She asks for it, when it is due to be taken, and it's an hour or more before she gets it, even though she has therapy to do.

Local manager has changed a least 10 times in the 7 years I have lived here. There have been some really kind and caring managers. Maintenance is as inconsistently staffed as property management. There have been some good maintenance people over the years, but they have left. Some residents are really kind and other form cliques and complain to management in New York. There are community activities and the activities coordinator has changed. Sometimes there isn't budget for activities. There is a high turnover rate of residents. It takes a long time to get things fixed. One of the elevators was out for 3 weeks. The local news did a story in May regarding non working AC in many apartments. My apartment was not affected by the AC issue. Management is legalistic and does not work with residents. Residents are viewed as children and are immediately blamed for the problem. When we moved in 2018, this was advertised as a Sr. Apartment complex and now we are told that it is just an apartment building. The letter of the lease is the law. There is no negotiation, humaine treatment, empathy, or understanding. Everything is handled out of the corporate office in New York. We were told by the local manager that we needed to move where we could get help to 'care for the apartment'. Local manager has been indifferent, judgmental and unwilling to work with residents. The solution is escalate to Corporate and the legal system. Local manager is non caring. I have experienced the current local manager as unprofessional. The local manager dropped the F bomb in a public presentation on the new computer system to report maintenance issues and pay rent.. Recent health issues and a hospitalization were not taken into consideration and the manager showed no empathy and was quick to escalate intervention from the corperate office. Basically we have been told to tell it to the judge or move out. Residents are charged for everything and blamed for issues in the building. The management is not trustworthy. In the past managers have been at more than one property. The place where I have lived for 7 years no longer feels like home.
