He suffers from Dementia and Parkinson's so he cannot live alone or be responsible to take his medications, therefore we utilize the on-site Interim Health staff. This is a seperate cost, so we are fortunate that his long-term health insurance covers it in full. It is great that he is in own apartment but has people that check in with him often enough that I know he is safe.

Amber our server what really excellent, Prompt, very cordial. She had the prettiest smile on a gorgeous face that could not be duplicated. I say this as it wasn't just present during the service. As she walked around it stayed there. It was the sign of a very happy employee who just made sure that everything was perfect. If I were her employer I'd be honored.

Observations: Patients in dining room unable to feed themselves and not getting assistance. Dietary aids are supposed to document how the patients are eating, which is done with paper slips tucked under their plates - they look at the plate and use the slip with the patients name for documenting the patient's eating habits. The aids only check the slips after the patients have left the dining room. They move the papers around, looking for their particular patient, so it's impossible to determine which slip belongs with which plate/patient. My Gma's Dr. ordered an X-Ray due to possible spinal compression fracture. It has been over 24 hours, still no X-Ray done. Additionally, with evidence to suggest that she has a fractured vertebra, the aids "helping" her in the restroom and getting in and out of bed *still* just heave her around like a sack of potatoes. my Gma has PRN pain medication. She asks for it, when it is due to be taken, and it's an hour or more before she gets it, even though she has therapy to do.

I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody. When clients do leave for a day or two, The staff will give sheets of meds. out to the clients. The sheets have like 30 pills in each sheet. This place needs to be shut down. People look like they are overmedicated. Never see any activity going on. Residents just walk around like in a daze, also go outside with no staff around. When you do finally see staff, you will see them all outside by the corner smoking and not paying any attention to the residents. I feel this is a horrible place. I toured Cedars of Liberty when searching for an assisted living facility for a family member. This…read moreplace is like Shutter Island. It is bleak and depressing. The rooms are dingy, small and very worn. The halls are very narrow with poor lighting with some areas of the facility appearing quite desolate. A facility director escorted me around the entire place and never once did I witness any staff member, nursing personnel nor any custodians. The residents were poor dressed, quiet, some crouched on the floor in hallways or just sitting doing nothing. Absolutely no activity going on anywhere. AWFUL PLACE.
