No communication between family member and staff. I am not sure where you got your rating 3 stars, but it did not come from the Rehabilitation floor. Please treat our precious and most valuable senior with respect, no like they do not matter! They do matter!

As many senior locations there is many things to do: * many nice sitting areas, * a well stocked library * a couple computers with a printer * a small movie theatre that shows 2 movies per day * a large dining area with new items daily * walking path outside. * multiple clubs for residents * happy hour entertainment events * you can have small pets * vans with rides and events * help me buttons included for residents * clean the room every week Checking with Mom she likes it so far. The food menu in the dining room rotates often and so far has been pretty tasty (we have eaten 2lunches and 2 diners). Areas to improve: --The wait staff in the dining area is pleasant but understaffed. At times there are long waits to get served and I have seen residents raising their hands to get staff attention. *the staff in dining room are friendly and helpful but they get overwhelmed at times* -- mom had a small engineering request we put in on Thursday and as of Monday we have not heard of any reply. All in all we are happy with the location... her one bedroom with all meals etc is a bit pricey at $3200 per month but so far it is worth it to see her happy and content.

I am a very happy resident of the Kingswood community. I first became acquainted with Kingswood…read morewhen I brought my wife here to the memory support section due to her dementia. I was still living at home, but spent every day here with her. When Covid came, I did not want her to be isolated from me, so I asked if I could move him to assisted-living and have an apartment with her. Kingswood agreed. I spent approximately a year and a half in assisted living with my precious wife before she passed away. That year and a half was a very special time of blessing for both of us to be together here in this environment. We both really enjoyed Kingswood very much and we were, and I am, so appreciative of the staff and the other residents. When my wife passed away in January 2022, I needed to make a choice about where to live because I did not need assisted living. We had sold our house during Covid when we received a cash offer we could not refuse. So I owned no house when my wife passed away. I could've gone into an apartment, or bought a condominium, or selected another senior living facility. After taking all factors into consideration, including doing some visiting to other independent living facilities, I happily confirmed my desire to stay at Kingswood and go to independent living. One of the many things I really liked was the fact that Kingswood is a continuing care, retirement community, which means it handles all levels of care from independent living to skilled nursing. There is no need to move out and find another facility when one needs a new level of care. I am now even more of a big fan of Kingswood and the personnel here. The board of the organization is composed of community minded individuals, who care for the welfare of senior citizens . The executive Director is an excellent administrator, a very approachable and personable individual, and a fine human being. He and other staff members work hard to keep us informed of all that is going on at Kingswood. So many of the staff members delight in making our lives fruitful and interesting that there is always something to do or someone to talk to. This is a not for profit corporation that was founded on principles based in Christianity on spiritual principles of love, kindness, inclusion and the welfare of the whole person. Kingswood does not have to make money for investors and shareholders. Kingswood charges for its services to pay its bills and to keep serving its community. There is definitely an attitude among the administration and the staff of desiring to please. The dining room has a tremendous range of food choices. The food is very high-quality. The whole atmosphere of the dining room is like a high class restaurant, with cloth tablecloths, and napkins. I very much enjoyed getting to know new people when they arrive. There are many wonderful people who live here, and I am glad to be a part of this community.

I originally started with this company last year and had a fantastic experience, found a job…read morequickly and everything was great. However, that job didn't work out and when I worked with them again...2nd time around it was a nightmare. They went through new management and if I can give this company zero stars I would. AVOID AT ALL COSTS AS ITS NOTHING BUT A WASTE OF TIME. I got matched with April, who is also the "manager" of the company. You would think working directly with the manager that you would be in good hands- WRONG! I have been working with this company OVER 4 months, and only met TWICE! The first appointment was a nightmare as she did a no call no show, and then tried to call me the liar when I have email proof of the scheduled time/place that SHE suggested. As someone with a disability and a survivor of domestic violence it was extremely traumatic to have so one calling me and screaming at me calling me a liar despite the emailed proof. The 2nd appointment went okay...however we were scheduled for 1 hour, the same day/time every week and April the manager literally cancelled every single appointment...always the day of, literally 2 hours to 15 mins prior to the scheduled time we were supposed to meet. She never offered me another day to make up the missed appointment or offered to add extra time to our appointment scheduled. Not only did we only meet twice, I still don't even have an updated resume...she said she didn't know how to update my current one. She did make me a resume that looked absolutely horrible. My city was wrong, the dates of past employment was wrong, and all of the bullets did not live up. It looked like she just slipped it together, even my address was wrong! When I suggested to just use my resume that was made prior, she said she didn't know how to update that template and demanded that someone else help me with it. She didn't listen to me, and had zero communication with me. And the fact that she cancelled over 11 scheduled appointments was just a waste of time. Never an apology. I suggested that I have no problem meeting with another staff member from her team and she never even emailed me back. She was very rude, and literally hurt my feelings because of how disrespectful she was (as the manager) to put her other clients before me. Even the 2 times we DID meet, she was telling me that I "don't have to schedule another appointment". I don't even own a computer...I have been jobless since 8/1/24, and I also have a learning disability...I also have rent to pay for! Zero communication, completely disrespectful and violated my rights as a client that I had with "The Whole Person". She often would cancel and blame it on another client despite me communicating via email explaining to her that I really need her to start showing up for our scheduled appointments. April is extremely rude and unprofessional, it was a complete waste of time. I never been treated with so much disrespect from someone who is supposed to be representing an organization that works with people with disabilities. DO NOT USE THIS ORGANIZATION! No wonder my old job coach that I used last year left the company.

She never talked before the meeting or attempted to understand the background or needs of the child. She got on the zoom meeting and within 10 minutes she was having a full on conversation while her mic was on. She did not only not hear or help but she told her girl to call me afterwards. She said good news tgey gave you some options. I said the option they persented was to file a due process. She said well that's goid, right? I said they are going to sue me. She peoceeded to tell me even if she knew what she was doing, she would not be able to confront the school because they do business together. Disgusting!
