In the kitchen and two bathrooms, he cleaned tile, painted over all the grout lines with a grout slurry (getting approval on the color with us first) and replaced caulk. Unfortunately we hired Don from the Grout Doctor to repair some minor deterioration of the grout on our shower floor after 7 years. When he came to inspect the shower floor and give us an estimate, he said that he could fix it and make it look much better. Once we hired him, the problems began. To begin with, we thought that he would repair or at least match the color of the entire floor not just some of the sections. Considering he used a bright white grout instead of the original grey grout, the floor now has the appearance of having dumped paint onto the floor of the shower. When I brought this up to him the day of the "repair", he indicated that it would darken, however it hasn't and likely won't. In addition, sections where the old grout meets the new grout the grout has, in just 2 months, deteriorated / disintegrated and now looks much much worse that it did before the "repair". After I complained about this he is now saying that the sub-floor has serious issues and needs to be replaced. He made no mention of any issues with the sub-floor during the inspection, during his work of at the completion of his work, only when I complained about the quality of his work. He took no responsibility for his work and said that one complaint wouldn't hurt his business. We are now going to have to hire someone else to replace everything he did and of course pay for it again. I would highly recommend that you Do NOT hire the Grout Doctor . read more

Worst job ever!! This guy does not know what he is doing. We asked him to replace some grout that was intact nothing wrong with it, just discolored. He didn't seal it. Absolute worst service I've had in a long time. estimate process was easy and great experience. Tony Jaconette and Marcus did a poor job at completing grout touch-ups, sealing, caulking, etc. some groutrepair spots had holes in it. Mold spots remained in grout, and other areas remained discolored. Tony did come back another visit to try and make things better but I still have holes in my grout. I will never use grout doctor again. read more

After calling several companies and getting many estimates, to get my guest bathroom shower repaired, I decided on this company. I was under the impression that I'd have to get all of tile replaced and every other company agreed then tried to up-sell me. I was looking at a few thousand dollars. When Tony showed up he informed me that while he could redo the entire shower he thought the tile was sill good and a re-grout was all that was needed. It saved me a ton of money. He was professional, knowledgeable and is an owner of the company, which impressed me most. Most owners would send employees to do all the work but Tony did it himself. He did everything over two days - it was about eight hours of work (it would have been done in one but we had to wait for the new grout to dry overnight before sealing it). The work was professional and they provided all of the safety precautions and cleanup. My guest shower looks like new. Great job. Highly recommended. read more

I investigated several costly options for sprucing up my second bathroom before finding The Grout Doctor in a Valupak mailer. Without Valupak I'm not sure I would have heard about this great, cost effective solution....and it turns out that a simple regrout/recaulk was truly all that I needed to go from drab to fab since the tile was still in great shape.
