Edit: the paint has been failing since the second day. They supposedly came out and fixed it. Told us that it was because the paint hadn't cured. It's been over two weeks and the paint has started to fail again. I sent them photos and told them that the paint was chipping again and I would like someone to come and repair it since they have such an "industry leading" five year warranty, and they did exactly what I thought they would do. Make excuses, like they have from the beginning. They said oh, it looks like it's from this or this. Stay away from this company. The paint is failing because of improper prep work. They are terrible to deal with. The original work was sup par. It was rushed and sloppy and chipping after one day. We contacted them and spoke to management, and received nothing but snark. They went on about their many five star reviews, and then got bizarre, and said, "from the beginning your lack of curiosity was a disappointment to me." And I'm not kidding. How I will continue to go on being a disappointment to this person I do not know. They had to come back and remove half the cabinets. So we went another week with half our drawers and doors gone. Did they offer any compensation for the inconvenience, and sup par work of the first job? No, they offered compensation to remove a one star review. This company is a joke, and a scam. Prim Painting did an AMAZING job at our house! They got us a quote right away, scheduled our project right away, and had our project done quickly. They painted our oak kitchen cabinets white, painted new trim and doors throughout our home white, and painted the whole interior back of our house and basement walls as well. Would not recommend. We used them for interior jobs and were happy. So we hired them to paint our exterior. The $4000 estimate we received was high, but we felt it was worth it for a thorough and top of the line job. We have a 1900sqf Tudor that is about 2/3 brick, but it has lots of windows and exterior doors and the typical Tudor architectural details--all of which needed a paint job. As the process continued though, we learned that the doors weren't included in the estimate. I'm angry about that but, with hindsight, I can see that the estimate could be read to exclude them. So I take responsibility for not being careful enough in my review--although it makes no sense to me that we would have received an estimate excluding those items in the first place, particularly because they were in the worst shape by far. We ended up paying another $300+ (on top of the $4,000) to have them repaint the doors because I just felt too defeated to find someone else. Then, when we get the invoice, there's a surprise $150 charge for painting a window overhang--strangely, we have 4 identical overhangs and PrimPainting seems to have taken the position that the quote only included 3 of them(?), despite the quote not specifically mentioning the overhangs at all. The whole thing seemed underhanded and full of hidden nickel-and-diming, but with hundreds of dollars. Worst part: they didn't scrape or sand the flaking paint, just painted over it. Prim Painting did a GREAT job on my house and garage. My house is really tall and really long, so it took a couple days to complete the job, but it was well worth that extra time. Had my cabinets painted and overall the quality is not there for a professional company. There was visible damage to the doors and drawer faces the day of instal yet they still wanted to say it was all good. Owner called me after he saw the pictures and agreed it was unsatisfactory. Promised to send a new crew out to sand down the doors and repaint them in their shop. However what actually happened is two new people came out and said "we can touch up the paint but that's all. You should consider caulking the seams to cover up the paint drips ext". I kindly asked them to leave since that's the opposite of what the owner promised. The pictures posted are after day one install and are just a fraction of the issues. A lot of the problems got worse as the paint began to flake off and get worse. I would paint your cabinets yourself over using this company. The more I look at reviews the more it seems like they offer a discount to leave a good review and ignore the major issues. read more

I watched them from my kitchen while they worked. From the power washing of the deck [which was done two weeks prior to the staining] to the staining, it was done professionally & timely. The painters were so detailed while reaching into every crevice of my deck. I have a large Wisteria that has wrapped around one of the posts..the painters worked carefully to stain the areas of the wood you could still see among the branches.
