    The sand and fun

Came out to Solomon island on a random day trip and drove past and stoped cause of the look and was completely surprised on how awesome the place is. Amazing size of there shrimp. There crab cakes are perfect. Massive amount of meat and not to much breading. Would recommend for anyone who was a beach front Resturant with out being able to have the ocean. A must stop and eat at.

First, I'm a veteran, married to a veteran and the mother of a veteran.. we love Mission. That…read moresaid, this location should be closed. It's dirty. The food sub par and service is insulting I normally visit the Annapolis location but happened to be in this area today I ordered a pulled pork neat with fries, two additional sides and the seasonal special cobbler . I watched them take a dirty paper cup and scoop some pork remnants out of a pan and put it in my Togo container.... So gross and cold left over fries. Then they told me the cobbler would be 17 minutes! ( pro tip: don't sell it if it isn't available) the manager,?? Not sure because he never looked at me, or acknowledged me in anyway, told the cashier to credit my card? No apology no chit chat no nothing I am treated better at McDonald's Customer Service-failed Food: when I arrived home my husband opened his lunch to gross, mushy, pork leftovers... like they minced the meat , zero flavor, and 10 fries! I'm disgusted Mission is expensive! Shame on you and fire those food handlers my next call is to the health department

The moist option is definitely fatty so next time, I would go for the lean. Ribs were also cooked really well, the meat was falling off the bone and the seasoning was just right. The hidden gem was the cornbread which was moist, crumbly and perfectly sweet and savory. I would highly recommend this spot for BBQ!

I'm in town for work and this place was recommended to me and I'm so glad I went. I liked it so…read moremuch that I visited twice. First let's talk about the place. Getting to the restaurant is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. The place is pretty clean and there is lots of seating. The people are very nice and polite. They greet you as you enter and are very clear with how the menu works. And now for the food. Their dishes let you pick a protein with white or brown rice and 4 side dishes. The first time I went I had the beef bulgogi. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture but it was delicious. It was juicy and flavorful. The next time I went I ordered the spicy pork. I have a decent spice tolerance so I didn't find it too spicy. They were also incredibly nice and gave me the bottom of the batch that is drenched in sauce after I asked. It was incredibly tender and delicious. The best part is the meals are filling at a fair price. I'm glad I tried this recommendation and I'll definitely come back next time I'm in town.

I appreciated that they had a small or large option as I wanted a light meal, and my tofu plus two sides was just about right. Options included watercress, a favorite and underused vegetable from my point of view. Their tofu was extremely crispy. I don't eat a ton of Korean because it tends not to be vegetarian-friendly, but this place, in a limited Southern Maryland food scene, delivered some distinctive and worthwhile flavors.

They roast their own coffee! Wow! Yum!…read more On a weekend morning (Jun 2026), we were in the vicinity of Solomons MD, and friends said that Bugeye Grill roasts their own coffee. That got our attention! We stopped in at this bright clean restaurant on a late weekend morning, (weekdays they open at 5pm). The French-press coffee was a tasty fragrant medium Brazilian blend. The flavor was well balanced, and it was a good smooth non-acidic coffee We found it to be a creamier fragrant brew, not a darker roasty flavor. It had a lightly malty sweetness and nuttiness, characteristic of its blend of Brazilian arabica, robusta, and hybrid beans. They have different blends from time to time. They really are a full-menu restaurant terrific views of Back Creek, and a midscale-classy vibe. They focus on seafood and steaks and lobster! We saw sandwiches around $20. This time, we came for the coffee. It was luscious!

First timers on Solomon and at Bugeye Grill. I will admit that we stopped by this restaurant…read morebecause it was one of the first ones that had outdoor seating (we were visiting with a dog). The restaurant had a nice variety of dishes and specialty cocktails...I think that I was more interested in the latter. ;) Since I have not visited Solomons, MD before, I cannot comment if the prices are comparable to other places in the area. However, most of the entrees were in the $25 and up range. I thought my fish and chips (I forget the actual name of the dish) were fine, and my spouse really enjoyed the crab cake sandwich. Although I thought the portion sizes for the sandwiches and fries were fine, the serving size of the mussels seemed a bit small. However, this could have been an optical illusion because the serving bowl for the mussels was HUGE, so the amount of mussels could have appeared to be smaller than what it was. I thought the outdoor patio was great especially with a view of the water and folks going about their business. However, some may not like the setup because you are right on the main street, which can be a bit noisy especially if a lot of bikers are cruising up and down the strip. Parking was a bit of a struggle (not the fault of the restaurant). During our visit, all of the public parking lots were full. However, we visited on Mother's Day weekend so maybe there were more folks (including us ) in the area than normal. I'll admit that since this was my first time visiting the area that I'm not too familiar about the ebb and flow of parking. Overall, our server (who reminded me a bit of a young Jodie Foster) was amazing. One thing that I really appreciated was her telling us about a potential delay for the food due to a large party. Although no one wants to hear that after ordering food, I think it's nice and considerate when a server provides a heads-up so diners can adjust accordingly.
