Complimentary bread

So my gf booked this restaurant while We're in Canada... Ambiance: fancy restaurant... but we all came from snowboarding sooo I guess as long as you can pay then live your best life... the restaurant is located inside the hotel Food: we ordered the tomato gin soup for Starter and I must saaaaay you definitely should... the presentation alone was amazing... they also have complimentary sourdough bread Mains: I ordered the tenderloin, my friends ordered the salmon, ribeye, surf and turf and lamb all were delicious Sides: they're meant to be shared. But we got broccolini, BC mushroom, mushroom risotto and mashed potato purée all of which were delicious Our server: Maddie!!! You are the best hostess ever!!!

Tomato soup appetizer flambéed and served table side. Lovely warm and cosy atmosphere.

Perfect place for our anniversary! Staff and food were top notch. Expensive but worth the experience and deliciousness. Meat and sides sold separately but sides served family style. Easily $100 per person. The Grille is in the backside of the Wildflower. It's more intimate, warm wood colours, the wine library and fireplace.

Very nice meal here, do prepare to fork out some make $$$$. Came here for dinner one night after a long day of riding, and was able to get a reservation. We were seated in the back of the restaurant and our waiter immediately came over to take our order. The menu was pretty extensive with many different choices to cater to everyone. We got the ribeye and the King crab legs to share. One of the cooks actually brought the raw piece of ribeye and cut a piece fresh right in front of us. The ingredients is definitely extremely fresh and of high quality. The desert was very pretty and delicious as well. Our waiter was very attentive and sweet. The whole ambience is upscale, classy and elegant. Our meal was very pricey but to be expected for a restaurant of this caliber and for being in a ski town. Bathrooms are outside of the restaurant in the hotel lobby which is a bit inconvenient. Valet parking is complimentary with validation from the restaurant.

Salmon carpaccio with caviar

My experience may be a bit unique since our large party sat in their private room and we had our own personal waiters so I will do a thorough review on their food. First of all, I have to say that their steak is excellent! They use Canadian AAA Prime beef, which is what Hy's Steakhouse uses as well. All their steaks are served with a small dish of dense caramelized onions, which were probably one of the best onion dishes that I've ever had! My appetizer was a salmon carpaccio with caviar, which tasted very light and elegant. The different dollops of flavoured cream carefully placed around the dish perfectly complemented the raw fish. As for my steak, I had their 14oz rib-eye cooked medium-rare, which was also superb and definitely as good as Hy's and Gotham. We had a variety of side dishes such as mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus and lobster mac and cheese. The asparagus was truly cooked to perfection, while the lobster mac and cheese was heavy and decadent. Dessert for me was a black forest cake (that happened to be gluten-free), and was amazing! I normally don't even like black forest cake but the dessert was highly recommended by the waiters so we decided to give it a try. The Grill Room is definitely one of the better steakhouses in Whistler (and Vancouver actually) but the prices are sky high so this is probably one of those restaurants that you would go to celebrate something important!

Cotton candy

This restaurant is in the fairmont hotel. It is fancier but not all people are dressed up. There are actually two restaurants in the one restaurant building which is confusing. So if you're making reservations make sure it's for the right restaurant . King crab legs: these were really good. It's nice that they cut them in half for you so they are easy to eat. They are pretty rich, so sharing them with the table is a good idea. Aged rib eye. A gentlemen comes around and shows you the beef and asks you how much you want. Then he will cut it for you. This was a good piece of meat. It also comes with some type of butter. Lobster Mac and cheese: super rich, also a good idea to share. They are generous with the lobster pieces. Fries: were just ok. Not that crispy. They give you a cotton candy complimentary at the end. It's supposed to look like a snow ball.

Wild Blue absolutely delivered -- from the atmosphere to every single plate…read more We started with the Pemberton farmed beet salad, and it was such a beautiful balance of earthy and bright. The miso sesame dressing added depth without overpowering the beets, while the puffed grains gave it the perfect crunch. The nori, shiso, and hint of yuzu brought a subtle freshness that made the dish feel light yet layered. A stunning start. The cavatelli with fontina and 5g shaved black truffles was pure comfort but elevated. Rich, silky, and deeply savory, with the truffle aroma hitting you immediately. The focaccia and fresh herbs tied it all together -- indulgent without feeling heavy. The standout for me was the sablefish. Perfectly cooked -- buttery and flaky -- paired beautifully with turnip, radish, and maitake mushrooms. The roasted fish bone sauce was incredibly refined and packed with umami. Every bite felt intentional and balanced. And to finish, the sticky toffee pudding -- warm, decadent, and exactly what you want to end the night. Sweet, comforting, and unforgettable. Wild Blue blends refined technique with thoughtful ingredients. Definitely one of the highlights of dining in Whistler

It was a very disappointing experience. We haven't visited Whistler in years, I was looking forward…read moreto this trip because we had booked what I thought was the top rated restaurant there but boy was I ever wrong. Their geoduck and clam pasts tasted okay but the serving size was laughably small, 2 large bites to perhaps 4 small bites at best. The worst thing was the overcooked geoduck, they're basically large clams and anyone who's cooked and eaten clams will know that overcooked clams turn rubbery and the few bits of geoduck were as rubbery as a rubber duck. The same applies to their Roasted Ling Cod, unless you enjoy overcooked ling cod, avoid at all costs. Amongst our group we ordered 3 New Your Steaks, we ordered medium rare, to their credit they were all cooked a perfect medium rare. Trouble was they were all way over salted. Too much salt to make them enjoyable, frankly I've had much better steaks at Denny's. As part of their prix fixe menu they had smoked black cod which I normally enjoy. Here they mashed the black cod into a chip dip which they served with their house made potato chips, While the dip was okay as far as taste goes, the chips they served last week on Wednesday night were all stale, not yet rancid but definitely stale. If the manager is reading this, I suggest he take a few and taste them himself. Prices weren't out of line since this is a resort area and restaurant pretty much can count on a "captive" clientele. However value wise this place should not be anywhere near the top of your go-to list.

This place has always felt like one of those "special occasion only" restaurants that are usually out of reach. The special menu was such a steal and so wonderful!!! Every course came out looking delightful, from the bright, delicate starters to the beautifully cooked mains to desserts that made us slow down just to savor the moment. I didn't want the food to stop flowing. Service was warm without being stuffy, the vibe was lively but still intimate, and the whole night felt like we'd accidentally unlocked a VIP experience. If you've ever walked past Araxi thinking "maybe someday," this is your sign. Go when they're running the special during spring ski season!

When you walk in you're promptly greeted by the hosts. We came mid week and tried their spring menu which was 4 courses for 33 before tax and tip. The server was prompt and attentive with a sincere, friendly demeanour. They were out of the tomato soup so we got the chowder and some chips and salsa (not pictured). Both were so delicious. The chips were ultra thick and reminded me of eating bugles as a kid, but way higher class. The salmon and chicken were way larger portions than we had expect , and done to perfection. Chicken is a little spicy but this is the type of service and cooking I liiiiive for! If you've ever had any other Earls scratch that out of your mind because when you come here, this is literally the place to be. Sticky toffee pudding also wonderful. It's not like a pudding more like a mini chocolate cake with toffee, vanilla ice cream and this almond florentine style cookie. Recommend to anyone even vegetarian / vegan as they have a plentiful plant based menu as well. This place is vibes for friends, dates, or a family dinner.

We ordered the Grants Platter for Two and shared it between three hungry adults and we still had a lot of leftovers (which were super tasty later)! My favorites from this platter were the brisket (so tender and just the right amount of smokiness) and the chicken wings with dry rub (fried to crispy perfection). The ribs and pulled pork were also really good, but since I prefer my barbecue without sauce, these didn't appeal to me as much as the brisket. I also liked the fresh and tasty mixed greens salad that we got as one of our sides--very balanced and delicious. The staff are super friendly here. All that's really being done is the chef is grilling your food - that's it. So if your food sucks, it's your fault. You will be given a silver bowl to load up with your choice of meat & veggies etcetera. You're server can explain all this to you if it's your first time here. Keep in mind current pricing today - $28 for up to one pound of food. One member of our group was real hungry & went slightly over one pound & that bill came to $67! To be honest, there's nothing wrong with that, so long as you're completely satisfied with what you ordered. The shrimp, microscopic scallops, noodles & everything else I mixed into my bowl, made it all delicious. I was extremely satisfied. I have been here in the past & recall not being so happy about my food. That was probably my fault & I wasn't thinking when I picked my options. I tend to normally stick to one type of meat & cannot handle mixing up beef, chicken & every other available meat. The beef today was excellent. Blended in nicely with my shrimp & scallops. Hot Tip Alert - I recommend eating here then going over to Bar Oso for dessert. Get the Basque Cheesecake. #yummy The cocktails are splendid as well. Cheers.
