The Boiler Room has its own YELP page?! Well, it's definitely getting all my LOVE. I stop by The…read moreBoiler Room {i.e. the atrium of Full Frame Theater} whenever I'm visiting American Tobacco Campus, and believe me, one look inside, and you'd understand why. If your type is big, strong and handsome [BUILDINGS!], Full Frame Theater's Boiler Room has YOUR name all over it (him? her?). This incredible space welcomes guests entering Full Frame Theater, as well as sometimes its neighbor, The Power Plant Gallery. It's a VERY unique event venue flanked by mammoth coal-fired boilers that were used in the original building. You can admire the elevator shaft to the right of the front door, or envision the unseen inside (but very visible outside) base of the Lucky Strike smokestack which The Boiler Room "horeshoes" around. Enormous windows, concrete floors and brick walls give this space the perfect impression for any event [can I plan my next birthday party here?!] No space has ever scream contemporary meets historic so clearly! Plus, doors are open 9am-midnight, SEVEN days a week, so there truly is no reason to miss this drool-worthy space. Secret tip: it's air-conditioned and they've got tall-topped tables and chairs inside along the massive windows. This would be the perfect get-away from the office or {indoor} picnic lunch spot.

The team provided excellent customer service prior to the event, answering all our questions and working with us and our caterers to make sure the event went well. During the event, staff were on site to troubleshoot and further assist. I would highly recommend checking this space out for your next event!

Planning couldn't have been easier- our coordinator was very easy to reach and always quick with an answer with any questions we had. The venue is charming and the roof top view is stunning. We chose to have a "Before They Say I Do BBQ" and the deck provided a nice space to set up stations for our caterer. The list of vendors provided by Empire Eats made providing linens and any items needed easy to set up. The only suggestions we would offer is know in advance that this is the top floor of The Stockroom. If there are 2 events scheduled, you'll be sharing the only elevator with the other venue. Loading and unloading prior and after the event can be a bit tricky. There is no designated area loading zone. Be sure to ask in advance for a cart and it will be provided. Also, if you're having a summer event, know that it can be very hot. When the door to the deck is open, it compromises the A/C and it can be a tad bit warm.

**BE CAUTIOUS** This…read moreis no doubt a beautiful venue. As per the other comments there unfortunately seems to be a pattern with the owners "hovering" amongst the guest and a severe lack of communication and professionalism. Short version is this place is not friendly to anyone with a handicap. Not guard rails on side walks/ramps. Only one bathroom available for guests to use and the men's only had I think 2 commodes. They had another party do a walk through during our rehearsal. I was belittled when I respectfully brought some concerns to the owners. The female owner just smirked and laughed when I brought my concerns to her attention. And the male owner Todd was about as short and unprofessional as they get. I simply asked if they could use the golf cart to take me about 15 foot in the grass (I am recovering from a 9 hour ankle surgery and can't really walk). Instead of showing empathy and explaining things in a calm manner, I was giving a sarcastic and rude response if "why would you want the golf cart to get stuck". First off, how does that response do anything but escalate the situation. Second, it didn't rain at all and was hardly an incline, and you driven it all over the property on much "rougher" terrain. It seems the owners are the dynamic duo of insulting their guests once they get their money. We also had guests who were not allowed to use the only bathroom there and I can't for the life of me understand why. We are all grown adults and people travel far distances to get here, just let them use the dagum bathroom. There were a number of issues with this place so I highly recommend only using this venue for pictures as there is a lot that needs to be fixed with how this place is run. Again this venue is gorgeous, but the attitude and demeanor of the owners was one of the ugliest experiences we have had.
