I had absolutely NO idea where to start or even the questions to ask. I searched, read about and investigated so many different places to hire, and always walked away with the feeling that I was just another customer. That was not the feeling we were going to accept for our very important day. We were determined to make our day one where everyone was as happy to be there as we were, including our caterer. Our friend Lori introduced us to Leisa, and we are eternally grateful. The very first meeting with Leisa convinced us we were going to be working with her. She put us at ease immediately stating that it will be what we want at a price that will fit our budget. She didn't disappoint! Here's the kicker... Leisa showed up to find that most everything that was promised to work at this event place was in fact not working or was not working up to expectations... but we did not find out about these issues until AFTER our ceremony. That's right, no excuses, no bellyaching and most importantly no worries were revealed to us while we were busy trying to get everything completed for our big day. She even gave us samples of her delicious treats while we were setting up the hall and always with that beautiful smile on her face! Leisa Newby is a true professional! She was an integral part of our very special day, and also took time to talk with our family and friends about her wonderful spread. Each item was delicious and beautiful... and perfect. Cooking at home for a large group sounded even more daunting, and I'm no slouch in the kitchen! With one phone call to Everyday Gourmet, everything started to fall amazingly into place. Leisa took great care in talking through choices and options to make our family dinner completely customized - from finalizing the menu, to working within our budget; she made it all very easy. Once the evening was upon us, we were all very excited...Leisa came in like a modern day "Mary Poppins of the kitchen," while we visited over drinks in the living room, wonderful smells started to waft through our home, and delicious food began appearing...it was delightfully surreal. Leisa interacted with our group perfectly by explaining the food and answering questions, and she complimented our evening with her professional and likable disposition. When the night was winding down, I walked in to find Leisa drying the last of the dishes - to my amazement; my kitchen looked exactly the same way it did when she'd arrived!! I wanted to applaud. The food was fresh - serving Fried & Baked Chicken fried fish rice & gravy string beans candied yams slaw -plus honey bun cake tea punch & water. During regular operating hours- ribs neck bones collards beans etc available almost every day. The location is about 8 miles from I85 exit Dabney drive exit -Henderson NC - also close to the Raleigh NC road. She also provided a beautiful charcuterie tray to start the night as well as infused water to accompany the meal. She arrived at the home early with her partner and set up the buffet. They were both friendly, professional and attentive to our needs. It was beautifully presented and kept fresh for the evening. At the end of the event, everything was left clean and sparkling in the home. I highly recommend Cheri for any event you choose to cater. Her prices are reasonable, her service is excellent and the food is truly delicious!

Our server, Erin Smith was friendly and very accomodating. We visited family in Ireland a few years ago and were familiar with a traditional Irish Pub and Napper Tandy's felt like being in Ireland. It is warm, friendly and a fun place to enjoy. We each had a Ruben sandwich with house made potato chips which hit the spot nicely. I even saw people with little children come in. The menu is large and varied and the prices are reasonable. I was very tempted to try the fish and chips.... The tables were clean and they had different sizes and high tops. I went for a burger and there were some nice choices . I rarely eat many fries but our adorable waitress said they were good, so I went for it. SO glad I did!! My burger was cooked perfectly and I could tell with the first bite it was not a frozen patty. Exceptional!!! The fries were amazing as well. I actually ate quite a few and there were plenty to share with my family. He got a Philly cheesesteak and loved it . It looked fresh and had tons of cheese. We will be back for sure, but I will call first to be sure Nelli is working. Nelli is so helpful, knowledgeable. cheerful, attentive, professional and kind. She is an excellent example of a perfect waitress! I enjoyed her so much and was so glad they were not super busy so we could talk some. We will be back with more family next time!!!
