I only go to Green Key! Don't waste your time going somewhere else only to be disappointed and taken advantage of. Through our business needs we have used a quite a few different locksmith's and each one has tried some shifty business practices by using used tumblers and parts, charging outlandish visit fee's just for them to say nothing is wrong with the lock now pay me. Don at Green Key has been nothing but up standing and honest. He's not going to up charge you if he doesn't think you need it. I don't know how many times he has just given discounts to free work because the problem wasn't that bad on a lock and took him very little time. Or the keys were so many that he just throws in these extras keys no charge. On top of that the guy know his craft! He is very knowledgeable, and I have yet to find a lock issue for him to get stuck on and not be able to help us with. No other locksmiths compare Green Key. Besides running a good and honest business, having great knowledge on his craft and even willing to teach he is just a friendly guy to chat with while he is cutting your keys or working on why your lock is acting janky. This was not a typical key copy situation. My son had broke half of his key in the trunk of his car. Stopped in here to get another set of keys for my RV. I had been to several other locksmith shops and nobody had all 4 I needed. He had every key I needed in stock! I was amazed to see just how many keys he had behind the counter. He had skeleton keys, Citroen, Alfa Romeo, Rolls Royce, Opel, VW, Porsche, you name it I bet he had it!! He even had trim rings for the outside of car door locks. I had never seen a shop with these before. I talked to the owner Don for quite a while. Very nice guy with interesting stories. Lost my spare key to our sports car... hate not having a spare. Put the main key in my pocket and went out for motorcycle ride. Found Green Key Locksmith open on a Saturday and said "what the heck, let's stop and chat". Outstanding service; fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Had a programed chip key ready to go in a short order. Then, I decided to throw the owner (Don?) a curve ball. I needed spare keys for my motorcycle hard bags; Givi and Shad brand. These bag manufactures (Italian) are known for not using a standard blank. Don(?) looked around for a few minutes and found a blank he "thought might work"... Well it did. Two new keys and I'm set. They have a large collection of older locks. They were able to salvage from an older Emtek lock and save me a lot of hassle in potentially replacing multiple locks to get a match. Check with them before you jump to replacing something. Once I got it to him it was fixed within 5 minutes. read more

I have had key and lock needs twice recently, and Don has met and exceeded my expectations both times. Most recently he was able to disassemble, clean, lubricate and make keys for the trunk lock on my 81 year old car, that's right a 1937 model! It would have been easier for him to say something like they don't make those anymore and get me out the door, but no, he went to work on the lock immediately and in a short period of time got it working, and made keys for it, using original key stock. His prices are very reasonable. I need to ad, while waiting, he has great vintage reading material in the waiting area, as well as children's books, interesting old pictures of the area to look at, and an assortment of key rings, holders and chains to fit every need.
