I searched the internet for a place that sold paleo desserts and Green Fork came up. It opens at 7am so I arrived around 7:15-7:20am. The woman that helped me was extremely nice and gave me all the options for paleo desserts. They do not add any artificial sugar like stevia which is great. I got the Twix bar and banana nut dark chocolate chip muffin. Both items were amazing. This is now my go to spot for my paleo goodies

I stumbled upon this wonderful place on my walk to the garden district. It was right on time because I had some breakfast that was so greasy that it made my stomach hurt. I went inside and told the employee my problem and asked if she had any suggestions on what juice would help settle my stomach ache. She suggested Silence and she offered to add some mint to aid in digestion. The juice was superb. In 30 minutes my stomach wasn't twisting in awful knots! I was relieved. It's not cold pressed so you know it's very fresh. Be patient because all that yumminess in a cup takes a minute. They have several locations so do yourself a favor and get your juice/smoothie on!!

Eh. I tried the serenity smoothie and wasn't super impressed. Didn't have much of a flavor to be honest, although I could tell it was quite healthful. It was also rather small for $9. I'll probably give the place another chance and try something popular like the LOL. I like the concept. It has a wholesome, fresh vibe.

Great place! Friendly staff. Drink was great! The name slips me but it had watermelon, ginger, lemon, mint & some others.. Very refreshing taste. Nice and cold, helpful for beating the NOLA heat. Spent less than $10 on a 16oz.

favorite restaurant in town!!! the finest ingredients and always fresh! the sweet treats are also delicious and healthy. we have been coming here sonce they first opened on metairie road!

Very good this place freshly juices any fruit or veggie you want sooo yummy I got the celery juice ! 4 stars Because the Customer service could be much better the staff don't even greet you when you walk in , that's a great way to make people not feel welcome

I was pleased to find this health food haven a short walk from my AirBNB in NOLA and hurried there my first morning in town to fortify myself with nutrients before a long day of sightseeing in the heat! I had the Beautiful smoothie (delicious!) and grabbed a granola bar for the road. It came to a steep $15, but having access to healthy food while on vacation is something I'll pay a premium for, so I'm not mad! Lovely shop and friendly staff - worth a visit!

Brussels Sprouts Chips (vegan and gluten free) and an awesome juice made to order. Yummy!

It's conveniently located for me, as in walking distance, and you can't beat that for picking up essentials. Anything to save myself a car ride! While their selection isn't always robust as far as produce goes, they have far more locally- grown items than Whole Foods. I think they strive to offer as much local as possible, whereas these days WF does not, so kudos to them for that. I don't want my tomatoes from Mexico if they are in season here. That said, you may not find everything you're looking for as the selection varies, but I can always count on finding an organic baked potato and I'm not going to find that at Robert's, the neighborhood supermarket. I used to think pricing was super high here, but I no longer feel that way. In fact, they are often cheaper than Robert's, as it seems like they are just pricing for tourists looking to stock their vacation rentals. They have a good selection of vegan items, even locally-made cheeses and meats, in addition to the commercial brands. And if you hit it at the right time, there's locally-made vegan baked goods, too. They have a modest wine and beer selection but still convenient if you need it. I think the neighborhood should support the Food Co-op. When it first opened, there was all this strange begrudgement around it, "we wanted a real supermarket," but when that so-called "real" supermarket opened it was a bit of an eye-opener for most of us ($7 for OJ five years ago was unheard of, but of course most of us wouldn't bat an eye in this economy).

One that's owned by the evil Amazon…read moreempire at that, but it is what it is and here I am, updating my review for this Whole Foods over 13 years after my first one. I appreciate the wine and delicacies (née cheese) section as well as the fridge section here to Mid-City. I much prefer the parking in Mid-City to Uptown and that's a big deal, as in, even if I'm in the area and need to stop at WF for produce, oat milk, wine and nostalgia, I'll more often than not talk myself out of it because I hate that parking garage that much. The last time I stopped in, I had taralli on the brain and knew that I wouldn't likely find that at most Rouses, no less the far more conveniently-located food co-op that's in my neighborhood. And of course I found a decent variety, as well as a bunch of other goodies my regular Mid-City location does not have. Back to the parking lot. It's bad enough, people. At the very least, bring your cart back inside so that the next person doesn't have to move it before parking, which blocks the entire area and annoys the other cars waiting to park. You know this happens. Don't be that person.

This Whole Foods has a very unique location and this reused space does give it some nice unique qualities. This location used to be far better than the Metairie location in many ways but it seems the location in Metairie has started to surpass this location in many ways. They still have a good mix of local, organic, and non-GMO produce. They also offer lots of high carb and high sugar baked goods that most "vegetarians" and "vegans" seem to thrive on. Sadly the formerly excellent selection of cookies no longer exists and they now pale in comparison to what they used to offer. I do look forward to one day meeting a "real" vegetarian or vegan that actually eats veggies instead of most of the ones I know who basically live off desserts and muffins :) Parking is usually a painful experience here and it is DEFINITELY better to go in off hours as people act crazy about parking here. After Katrina I lived next to the Whole Foods flagship location in Austin so this is certainly a much less dynamic store but it usually serves its purpose. Ever since Amazon took over Whole Foods it simply just isn't as good as it used to be in many ways but you are able to get more deals, discounts and coupons. This is still the most unique Whole Foods I've seen anywhere but I miss the vibe it had before Katrina and Amazon. One last review of ONE Star for all the LAZY people that leave their carts strewn all over the place in the parking lot! If your going to eat healthy maybe take a few extra seconds of exercise to put your cart back and OUT of my way you rude, pathetic excuses for civilized creatures. It is the utmost in poor manners and you are probably the same douche bags that zoom in and cut people off to steal the parking space that someone else was patiently waiting for.
