I immediately corrected that mistake by buying a ticket the moment I saw the event posted--and then started counting down the days. The concept alone sold me: a ticketed, adults-focused stroll through downtown Carlisle, with participating small businesses offering tastings, experiences, treats, and deals. Sweethearts of all kinds were welcome--couples, besties, gal pals--and dressing in red and pink for Valentine's vibes was strongly encouraged. Say less. Ticketing was super easy, and Georgie Lou's did a fantastic job with pre-event communication, especially via social media. One post in particular deserves a shout-out: a reminder to bring a bag to carry your treats. This is something I absolutely would not have thought about until I was awkwardly shoving sweet treats into my coat pockets. I came prepared with a small reusable shopping bag (pink, obviously), and by the end of the stroll it was completely full of sweets, trinkets, and purchases. Meanwhile, others were struggling with overflowing pockets alongside gloves, hats, maps, and life regrets. Lesson learned. Excellent advice! I found parking around 1pm and headed to Georgie Lou's to check in and grab my materials. The staff were incredibly friendly, checked my name off the list, and sent me on my way with a Map of Hearts, a button identifying me as an official 2026 Sweetheart Stroller, and a small sweet treat to kick things off. I also took some time to explore the shop itself--my first visit--and wow! They have managed to pack an impressive amount of nostalgic goodness into a small space. Total blasts from the past, plus candies I'd never seen before. Super fun shop! From there, the stroll itself was a delight. Georgie Lou's clearly put a lot of care into coordinating participating businesses, and it showed. Most spots offered sweet treats, discounts, or special offerings, but every single business was warm, welcoming, and happy to have folks stopping in. Even though I've done a few downtown Carlisle walk-style events before, I still discovered shops I'd never been in--and every purchase I made that day was from a place I was visiting for the first time. That alone feels like a win. Overall, this was a fantastic way to spend a few hours on a very chilly January Saturday. It got me out of the house, walking downtown, supporting local businesses, and discovering gems I usually zoom past while driving from Point A to Point B. I had such a great time that I jokingly asked if I could pre-register for next year... apparently that's "not a thing yet." Fine. I'll wait. :) This has officially been added to my annual tradition list. Great event, great execution, great vibes. Well done, Georgie Lou's!

There is a light blue natural zircon stone in "Hope"... light blue for prostate cancer ( one of the two cancers my husband has fought), as well as being my husband's birthstone. Etched on the back of the pendant is a Cancer Awareness ribbon. I am delighted with the result and craftsmanship of this piece. It holds a lot of personal meaning. There is no doubt I will be coming back to this location for jewelry repair, commissions, or gifts.

There was no one at the front counter so I went back to the pharmacy and waited. Another customer lined up behind me and we were both waiting. Neither the clerk on register at the pharmacy nor the two other personnel behind the counter said a word to me but the one on the register was making small talk with a gentleman ringing out his prescriptions, talking about a painting that was hanging on the wall for sale. I run a register part time and I try not to delay my customers by making small talk when there's a line.

If I could give zero stars I would. First, the flowers weren't even delivered on the day I…read morerequested, which was my step mom's birthday - kind of important. When I called the next day, I was told by Georges' that they don't deliver to Shermans Dale so they had contacted a local florist and relayed information about what the arrangement was to look like. They also told me that they had called the alternate number I provided (my father's number) and received some sort of message about the phone number not taking calls. This was a total lie. I spoke with my father and he had NO calls from anyone about flowers. No one bothered to call me to let me know they didn't deliver the flowers on the correct day. Why didn't they just deliver the flowers? It wasn't until I had called the following day after the flowers were supposed to be delivered that I found any of this out, and then suddenly they were able to make immediate contact with my father (no mysterious phone "not taking calls" message anymore) and the flowers were delivered. What was delivered looked NOTHING like what I ordered. I am extremely disappointed and will never use Georges' Flowers again. I've posted two pictures - one of what I ordered, and the other is what was delivered (not even close). If I wanted a plain arrangement, that's what I would have ordered.

But when I saw they were hosting an event called Flannel Fest, I knew I had to make a return trip. I mean... free parking, free admission, free live music, and free petting zoo access if you wore flannel? Challenge accepted. I got there around 1:30 p.m. and found plenty of parking in the field just a short walk from all the action. The parking attendant was super helpful and friendly -- always a good sign. The place was hopping, with families, couples, and plenty of folks in flannel soaking up a perfect sunshiney fall day. Cody Ross Smith was performing live, the music was great, and the overall vibe was exactly what you want from a fall festival -- laid-back, cheerful, and full of small-town charm. Fire pits were burning, hay bales had been turned into makeshift couches, and kids were running around between the petting zoo and the play areas, having a fantastic day! The farm store was open too, selling baked goods, meats, and handmade soaps and lotions. It was the kind of afternoon that makes you wish fall could stick around forever. Huge kudos to Double Vision Acres for not just running a farm, but building a sense of community around it. Well-organized, family-friendly, and totally worth the drive. If you're looking for a place that serves up wholesome small-town fun with a side of s'mores and livestock -- this is it.
