Our suite was spacious, comfortable, and had plenty of room to relax after a long day. One of the biggest advantages is the location. We were able to easily walk to both the Toyota Center and the George R. Brown Convention Center, and the area felt safe and surprisingly quiet, even being downtown. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. The hotel also has a nice bar with food, which was perfect when we didn't feel like going back out in the evening. We appreciated how secure the property felt, and the complimentary breakfast had a great variety with plenty of options to start the day. If you're looking for a clean, modern hotel in downtown Houston with an excellent location and outstanding service, I would definitely recommend staying here. We'll absolutely be back!

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The staff really stood out: friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the stay. The hotel itself felt very secure, even though the surrounding area can feel a bit shady at times. Location-wise, it's very convenient if you're attending an event--the arena and convention center are an easy walk. That said, walking around downtown requires some awareness, especially at night. There aren't many real restaurant options nearby, so plan on using Uber or Lyft for dining. Pricing is reasonable for a new, modern hotel in this location, and overall it was a solid experience. I would definitely stay here again if I were visiting the downtown Houston area.

My room had a king size bed on the first floor of the hotel. Normally, I do not like to stay on the first floor of a hotel for safety reasons. The early check-in was greatly appreciated as it gave me a chance to refresh and change before my fitness workshop. Most Marriott hotels have a list of complimentary items that can provide you during your stay. The front desk manager gave me a shower cap and lotion that were missing from my room. Breakfast is included with your stay. Also, this hotel has free parking and Wi-Fi. I left at 4 am this morning so a hot breakfast was not available. I really like that they had vanilla candles burning in the lobby, front desk area, and the entryway. That added touch gave the property a sense of elegance and charm! However, they only had one customer service agent in the late evening (around 9pm) at the front desk which made it take a little longer than expected to check in. Once I checked in, the room was spacious, well appointed, really nice and really clean. Overall the property was well maintained inside. Parking was a premium with self service at around $35 and valet $49 per night. I was satisfied with my stay, but I'd probably look for another property to stay at when in Houston again. There seem to be over 75 really nice hotels to stay at while in Houston. I'd like to explore another one during my next visit.

Nice property with current renovations in progress, which did not impact the stay. Restaurant has a nice selection of items. Daily happy hour specials as well. We've stayed in the Hilton Garden Inn side and the Home2 side. The Home2 side gets you a kitchenette (more like a full kitchen with dishwasher and dishes) and a breakfast buffet (admittedly a little disappointing but fine). But for going to appointments in the medical center you can't get better than this hotel. The Shuttle The shuttle service is simply amazing and will pick you up and drop you off quickly and seamlessly for free. I had surgery and they were there to get me within five minutes of me being rolled out the front door. The shuttle drivers and genuinely kind and very helpful - bring cash for tips, they're not required but I felt like I would much rather give a tip to these helpful people than pay for multiple Ubers every day. The Rooms I think they default to cleaning every 2 days, which is better than most places these days but when we checked in they asked us if we'd prefer daily. Room attendants are observant and careful. The rooms on the Home2 side are definitely better for long term stays because you get a couch and a kitchenette. There is a table that pulls out from the desk for eating, and plenty of plugs. Bed and pillows are comfy, but I wish we had another blanket or two - I'm sure they would have given them to us if we asked. Bathroom is clean and everything works. Nice toiletries in refillable bottles that were kept full. Amenities My wife loves the gym here - there is a peloton with an account so you can keep up your rides, as well as plenty of free weights. The gym has a water cooler and bottled water. There is a large selection of snacks and a few necessities available for purchase by the front desk, including cold drinks and ice cream. When I forgot a toothbrush I went to check if they sold them and was sad when they didn't, but then the front desk had them for free. There is FREE laundry, which is so great for these longer stays, especially for medical appointments, and the front desk will give you a laundry detergent pod, which is just ridiculously convenient. There are multiple washers and dryers. The restaurant on site is expensive and frankly not great (but we're vegetarians so meat options might be better) but nice to have. Lots of places within delivery range on grub hub. In sum, if you're in the area because you're dealing with medical issues and you need somewhere to stay without dealing with all the things you didn't think of like laundry and a fridge for your medication, this is the place! Caveat that I didn't stay in an accessible room and have ok mobility so I am not sure about their accessibility for people with less mobility or using wheelchairs.

Our Family Was Displaced for FIFA -- Even with a Signed Agreement…read more We planned our 2026 Family Reunion at this hotel. Signed the contract. Received the booking link. Shared it with our entire family. We were in the middle of collecting payments when we received a call saying everything was canceled because FIFA is coming to Houston. Our dates have been set for four years. The hotel knew that. We already printed, posted, and shared the lodging information. To be told "Your block is canceled, you should consider changing your event dates or moving to Clear Lake" was shocking. Changing the dates would disrupt hundreds of people. Moving the hotel 30+ minutes away makes no sense for our elders or our family events, all located in Houston's Historic Third Ward. Hilton chose profit over people, plain and simple. But most importantly--they treated a signed agreement like it meant nothing. This was unprofessional, dismissive, and a huge disruption to our planning. Future guests should be aware.

So excited we got Invited to my friends garden wedding here in a few weeks, cant wait! Katy TX is approx. 1hr drive from Houston airport, 30min from downtown Houston Galleria where my lodging will be located. I have a few tourist attractions in mind while visiting. Galveston coastline/ beach is approx. 1hr from Houston. So I finally got the chance to visit beautiful Palm Royal Villa!! Whewww its absolutely amazingly gorgeous!! I see why one would organize a fabulous event at this location. They have two floors and rooms upstairs for the hostess to use. My friend and her wedding party were getting dressed when we arrived, so I got to see a little bit of upstairs. We checked in, temp checks, guest list check in, hand sanitizer, and mask worn for the event. The employees and staff coming to Villa followed the CoVid recommended guide lines. Everything was set up nicely and organized, we did stay inside until the wedding started due to the heat. The staff were really friendly and welcoming during our visit. The event and caters for the wedding did a fabulous job! There was a DJ, bar service and a photographer at the event. I took alot of pics, some reviews on google complained about the Villa not having many reviews or pics. Hopes this helps others who may be considering using the facility for the future. The website does gives some details and contact information. Keep in mind the heat when doing a outdoor event during CoVid. We really enjoyed ourselves. I felt like we stepped out of the country for a bit!! I would highly recommend them in the near future.
