Had a lovely lunch here while actively avoiding nearby conference activities at Adare Manor. Wine list is short, but well built. I went with the Spanish red by the glass and the vegan bowl with halloumi and was not disappointed. Staff was kind and helpful, but not overbearing. It was easy to ask for things, yet not being interrupted while I enjoyed my meal. If I find myself back in Adare, I would absolutely return here. Sadly, I was hangry, so I inhaled my lunch without snapping a picture. And we all know what a glass of Spanish red looks like, so just stop it already. They have great patio space, if weather cooperates, but also comfy indoor spaces as well. read more

OMG so DELICIOUS!! We were craving for something sweet and tasty. We trusted the reviews on Yelp and were not disappointed. The brownie and the mixed berry crumble were amazing. Slightly warm, not too sweet, just perfect. The "good" room clearly is an understatement. I think it's a great room. Very busy (can only imagine what it's like in July/August), but service was quick and friendly. We actually got to sit outside and enjoy the sun. They also serve breakfast and lunch and it all looked very good. You should definitively stop by when in Adare. And after that: go have a Guinness at Seán Collins. Tasty spot for a reasonably priced lunch. My husband and I stopped here for lunch before the castle tour. We started with a pot of tea and a chai latte which my husband reported was delicious. My main was a warm goat cheese salad that included beet puree, tomatoes, sun dried tomatoes, and walnuts. The warm goat cheese was over the spicy arugula. My husband had a chicken sandwich on a bagel which came with some green salad as a side. There was both inside and outside seating available. Service was attentive and prompt. I did like this place but from the moment I walked in there were a few red flags for me. We were greeted and pointed in the direction of a table. It wasn't especially busy so I would've expected the waitress to come over immediately with menus but instead we sat there for five minutes waiting to no avail. Eventually I got up and grabbed four menus from behind the counter. Not a great start. I thought the menu was good, plenty of options although 90% of the menu is sandwiches. They have gluten free options and gluten free bread plus free range chicken which was ideal. I ordered a gluten free chicken hot sandwich with no onion and I explained both my intolerance to gluten and onions. The waitress acknowledged this and said she'd ensure the relish was left off my sandwich. I thought my sandwich tasted good and the other person in my party thought they were decent sandwiches, though nothing particularly special. Another person is my party had the vegetarian quiche which she enjoyed and the last member of our party had an Indian dish which was a special of the day and he said it was average cafe food. Now, here's the kicker. Despite me clearly explaining my dietary requirements, I still ended up with a gluten filled pasta side salad and an onion filled potato side salad which of course I couldn't eat a single bite of. If a server says something is gluten free, you're going to assume you can eat everything on the plate. Obviously from the first glance I knew I couldn't but wowee that could be dangerous. We did mention this to the woman who rung up our bill who agreed this was totally unacceptable so hopefully this isn't something that will happen again. Two members of our group also got a chocolate peanut caramel slice which they said was really nice though softer than they imagined. Overall the meal was good but for my own safety I'd probably avoid in the future. read more

This is a very charming breakfast spot right in the village of Adare. There were 5 of us staying in the villas near the Manor, and this soon became a favorite first stop before our daily travels around the southwest. First thing when you walk in you'll be greeted by the sight of the delicious freshly baked goodies, and if you're lucky, you won't have too much of a wait for a table. Of course, you'd be better off getting there early, as it can get quite crowded in the late morning! A few of our favorites from the breakfast menu; Croissant Mixto; a toasty croissant split down the middle and filled with melted cheese and tasty limerick style bacon, Scones; we opted for the berry scones more often than not, but they were all lovely, and served with irish butter, jam, and whipped cream. The no carb breakfast was tasty as well, though it seems like a shame to miss out on the soda bread! We ate here several times during our stay, and I can say the only disappointment was when they ran out of croissants the one morning!
