Very rude and irresponsible service in Golf Mart in Del Mar store. I had PXG putter problem and need to repair it. I called PXG and told me that I will have to take the putter to Golf Mart where I ordered. So I gave the club to the store and left club to ship it to the company. It has been 8 days so I called PXG to find out when it will be ready, but I found out that it hasn't been shipped at all. Basically the club was in the store whole time covering with dusts. When I went to the store to find out what is going on, the guy, seems to be the manager, pointed finger at me and told me aggressively saying that "You are the one who has to ship it NOT me. We DON'T do the business with PXG!". He also said that he called me and left a massage on Tuesday day (2 days ago) which was 6 days after I left club at the store. I never got a call and a message at all. I called PXG customer service at the front of store, but the PXG representative didn't understand what that mean by "WE DON'T DO THE BUSINESS WITH PXG" and should be able to ship it. I told him that I confirmed with PXG for return club location and they specifically told me to leave at golf mart. I asked him if he called me last Tuesday or this Tuesday. He told me that it was this Tuesday, so I asked him why he waited for 6 days to call me. He said that he wasn't in the store. If he wasn't in the store, nobody take care anything? If he is out for a long time, then nothing will be taken care of? I asked him if he wasn't there for long time, how did he find out about the putter and call me? If he really came back on Tuesday then he could say "I called as soon as I came back or something", but he couldn't respond my question and a few second later saying "What do you want from me?". I immediately noticed that he was lying and trying to cover his mistakes. That is why he was talking to me aggressively at the beginning. I told him that It is irresponsible and he told me " WE DON'T NEED CUSTOMER LIKE YOU!". I got really upset and started yelling at him. There was no yelling and improper words before he said that. Only thing they care about the selling goods. Not sure if that guy has the problem or there is problem with whole store. The best part about going to the TopTracer range in Del Mar is hitting The Golf Mart after. Their customer service is unparalleled and they always have an associate to assist you with anything you need. I recently went in for a new bag and left with the BEST Ping bag, two new Callaway wedges, a chipping net, got my putter shortened and got a thicker grip put on my driver! They let me take 4 sets of wedges out to the chipping green to feel out what worked best and I settled on the Jaws full toe. Absolutely love them and got the 56 and the 60. I also traded in my current sand and lob for a credit. What I didn't realize that Kyle pointed out to me was the bounce on my clubs was causing my to hit thin chips so we suggested a bigger bounce and it has helped my game immensely. I've been a WGS customer for years now and I've never stop being amazed at the amount of customer service every department puts out to give us the most, not just for our money but for our overall shopping experience. I've made friends and great acquaintances over the years. From club sales, fittings, repairs and all other things golf. Which leads me to this awesome location. Over the last 13-16 months, when I come to San Diego to visit family, I've made this Golfmart my favorite place for the same reason I stated above. The staff is always welcoming, friendly and willing to assist, no matter how small the purchase. Today, Sunday, 8/7/22, Kenny, who I met for the first time, was exceptional. Extremely welcoming and eager to assist. He showed honest interest for my being there and although he admittedly had no knowledge of my questions on how to pure a shaft, he immediately referred me to the club fitter, Anthony. Again, Kenny is that person that makes you feel welcomed and addresses your questions with enthusiasm and honest interest. Anthony was busy with another patron, so I browsed the store until he was available. Some 5-7min later, Kenny waived me over & I started to ask my questions about a video I saw that explains Callaway's optifits unique way to pure a shaft. As I tried to explain that Shawn Clement, a Callaway sponsored and famous YouTube, Golf Channel instructor was the one who discovered this tweak, Anthony just kept saying it couldn't be done, barely letting me finish a sentence. He told me to call Callaway to see if that's possible and even after I told him that not only did I call Callaway, so did Shawn Clement (who confirmed to me that he had told Callaway of his finding). Anthony just pointed to the optifit, saying if it's not set up like it's done from the maker, it's wrong. I had to give up trying to get him to at least show some interest in what is possible. In all the years I've been to WGS stores, this was the first time someone treated me like I didn't belong there. Very weird since he and I are both considered "minorities." On the other hand, Kenny should be acknowledged for being an excellent example of customer service. He and the other team members will be the reason, when I visit San Diego, I return to this location when needed, Anthony needs serious customer service skills training. He obviously has a talent for club fitting or what ever else he does but he should maybe avoid interacting with people until he learns to smile, for one and learn to appreciate the opportunity he has to be of real service to others. In every basket of fruits there's always one that tastes a little sour. Maybe it hasn't ripen yet and it may need more time to develop its flavor. Smile Anthony. It changes lives. Wanna start off by acknowledging the store manager Kevin and club fitting specialist Anthony. They were awesome form start to finish. I am a disabled veteran from the US NAVY and have been purchasing clubs from golfmart San Diego for years. I gotta say the team from the San Diego location didn't take the time to fit me the right way and didn't take the time to understand my point of view. I decided to get a professional fitting and with that help I found out all the right specs I needed from lies, lofts, wraps, grips, lengths, flex, and best of all the right clubs needed to help my swing. The team at golf mart of Del Mar heard me out and took the time to help me with returning the garbage that was sold to me at golf mart of San Diego. They didn't deny me anything and were kind and very knowledgeable with everything. A ++ to this location. My current golf coach recommended I see Kyle at the Del Mar golf mart. I had a decade old set that was falling apart and my 9-8 shaft bent in during my lesson. He told Kyle at golf mart what my swing and style was and put together a few options on my price range and style. I ended up loving the Taylor made sim Max set and will never look back. He made sure I left with the equipment I was comfortable with and didn't over sell me on anything. I even wanted to upgrade my putter after the 3 hour decision making process, and he took videos of how I put and recommended and amazing putter. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and asked how I could be helped. At that point, a conversation was held through out the whole experience which made it feel as if I've been there multiple times but in reality this was my first time. I was in there to trade in some clubs and upgrade to a new driver. Kyle was in charge of giving me the correct estimates and was super helpful. He was upfront of the costs but also gave me a run down as to why. He also helped me with the rest of the process, finding a driver and a hybrid. To top it off, I asked if I could get them both regripped and he also did it himself. He is a man who knows his stuff and he has a cool beard to top it off. Everyone there is very knowledgeable and where honest in giving their opinion. I also had my 9 month old baby with me in his car seat and one of the associates would walk over and make him smile when he would start to cry or become upset. I know no one likes a crying baby while shopping haha. I live in Chula Vista and I will be making the long trek up to Del Mar to visit Kyle and the team for my golf needs from now on. I got all of my clubs regripped and a couple shafts lengthened from the Mission Valley Golf Mart. I got them back 5 days later to have many of the grips misaligned and the lengths of the shafts to be completely off. I called the Del Mar Golf Mart and Walter, the equipment worker, brought me in and fixed everything within a couple of hours to where I wanted. He does high quality work in very short time and I would highly recommend getting adjustments, regrips, etc. from him. read more

Really good customer service and if you come at the right time you can snag a good deal on a set of clubs or gear. I just came by for their anniversary sale and ended up being interested in two sets of clubs. They let me try them at the driving range next door so that I could decide whether I liked them. When I came back they asked how it went and I wasn't pressured to buy any of them. However, it was a good deal so I went with the more expensive clubs and Im so happy with my purchase. The place can get busy and they don't always have enough staff but they try hard to manage and if you're patient (you should be) you'll be fine. Jason, Tim, Joe and the staff at the Golf Mart in Del Mar are the Best! They are extremely knowledgeable and "real" in their golf advice and club selections. I just purchased some amazing Apex irons and some Taylormade woods! I love the fact the range is there and one can hit balls with a demo club, on top of that, they have a great 90 day return policy. This is not a shop where they rush you to make a decision, rather my impression was, that they want you to be happy and for your game to improve, so one will refer their friends.
