My kids have been attending the Goddard School (Waldorf) since 2012 and my oldest just graduated from the Kindergarten program. Looking back over the past five years, I must say Goddard has become like a second home for my kids and the staff and faculty, like family. I started my oldest at Goddard at 14 months, transitioning him from being at home with a live-in nanny. At the time, I noticed his need to interact with other children on a more regular basis, and wanted something that could provide not only the personal care and attention to which he had become accustomed, but also a fun-loving environment that would stimulate, inspire and help him develop at every learning stage. After researching, touring, interviewing and researching some more - the Goddard school was my choice! From the ambitious curriculum to the required educational credentials of their staff and faculty, I knew my children would learn and develop. However, the other aspect that I appreciate at Goddard is the open-door policy that is truly implemented. My husband and I both work full-time and it was extremely important that our children spend their days in an environment that was not only educational, but with people who would be loving and would protect them as we would in our absence, and I really found that with Goddard Waldorf. Honestly, I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the feeling that my kids are loved and protected, especially having a child with a serious peanut allergy. And perhaps the coolest tool is the Tadpoles app through which parents receive daily reports on your child's naps, meals, potty times, and activities, as well as important messages, pictures and videos of your little one during the day. Many a day I was stressed out at work, and then all of a sudden, that tadpoles picture or video would pop up in my inbox and remind me of what's really important and what I have to look forward to... I absolutely love it!!! As parents we sometimes hear horrible experiences of daycare/early educational experiences from friends and how some have to move their kids from place to place trying to find the right fit. And while no place is perfect, I have found that Goddard Waldorf truly believes in helping your little ones to develop a strong academic foundation and the social skills necessary to step into any learning environment with confidence and pride. From the owner Mr. Akhil; management -- Ms. Hasna and Ms. Bianca; and the many incredible teachers - I have appreciated the partnership and open invitation to dialogue about how to best support my kids, as well as the seriousness with which they take my children's educational experience. I am overjoyed with the care and dedication to learning at this school! It is truly a treat to have my child attending this school. I wouldn't have her anywhere else. From the moment you walk in the door you feel their attentive care as the Director, Ryan, office assistant Courtney and Executive Director, Hasna, greet each family intimately knowing every student and parent by name. My child was a more mature Toddler and I had interest in her being placed in the preschool over the Todd class to keep her challenged. Upon our tour of Goddard Waldorf these fantastic ladies took time to meet me and my child and took us to every class that fit her age/skills and watched her interact until they found the right class for her. This was HUGE to me. It means they cared about placing my daughter in the right class for her to properly grow and for the other children to flourish as well, making sure she matched their class constructive interaction. You will not find a better dynamic duo in the childcare development industry than these women. Their dedication to learning is paramount! It is no different with the teachers. Goddard holds a high standard for selecting teachers who genuinely love what they do. While I was touring other child care facilities in the area, I walked into a lot of rooms and was immediately turned off because you could tell the instructors were just collecting a paycheck and truly did not have an interest in child development. Upon my tour of the Goddard School Waldorf, I knew my little one who was in good hands. I met all the instructors, and they are all trained, experienced, and dedicated to child development as a career choice- they are doing what they love. In turn, you get happy kids. My daughter wakes up and ASK me to go to school. Ms. Danielle, Ms. Kendra and Ms. Lydia are part of the family now. My child runs to embrace them with hugs and smiles. They also use this cool tool- the Tadpoles app- to send important messages, pictures, and videos of your little one during the day so you can see what they are up to. Our first week of school, I had to fly out for work, and I was able to see snapshots of my child so I didn't miss out on her school experience. The COVID-19 pandemic has permanently changed life as we know. My husband and I have been lucky enough to keep our jobs throughout the pandemic. We recently just learned that we can no longer work from home and we must return to our office jobs. With that being said, we were extremely hesitant and nervous about enrolling our children in childcare. We did a lot of research and out of all the places that we visited "virtually", The Goddard School was our number one choice. After much deliberation and sleepless nights, we decided to take the plunge and enroll our children. Let me tell you, I am so glad that we did! The Goddard School goes above and beyond! Their pick up and drop off routine is conducted outside of the school so nobody is entering the building. They're conducting daily health screenings and taking children's and staff's temperatures with a high-tech, non-contact thermometers. They frequently use the AQUAOX disinfecting machine and they have installed a special filtration system in their HVAC system to help keep the germs away. My husband and I are highly impressed! We are also impressed with the constant communication from the management team. They keep us up to date on what's going on inside the building since we cannot enter. They are constantly informing us of new rules and guidance from the CDC. They have really done everything that they can to bring some sense of normalcy into the world during such a crazy time. I have nothing but nice things to say about The Goddard School and I am so glad that we made the decision to enroll! I have a happy 4 year old!!!! read more

Scammers, frauds, and no director/leadership! Save your banking information and do not send your children to this school. I have yet to receive an email not ridden with grammatical errors or a bill that was not incorrect. There is a pending investigation from a staff member who broke into the school and stole parent personal/banking information. The school was without a director for months and the newest director resigned effective immediately from Jun 22- Aug 22. Somehow no one knew that from Jun - Aug no debit payments were being processed. So now we're submitting personal bank statements to a school under investigation for a staff member stealing parents credit card information for refunds. The school decided to pull all outstanding payments at once (3 months tuition) with no notice or communication to parents. The school had NO idea until after multiple parents pointed out the error. The teachers are amazing and do a great job. The billing and administration is terrible. After paying almost $2k/ month for daycare you would think they had enough to hire an actual accountant who can add...numbers.. If you don't want to be on the phone constantly with your bank avoid this scam of daycare! Also please review the inspection report! My kids have been going here for about 6 months. The teachers are amazing, informative, and loving. They always communicate and are transparent about everything. I was nervous at first, reading all recent reviews, but I am comfortable with their care now. They love it and have made many new friends. Ms. Ryan the director and Ms. Courtney office assistant, are always very welcoming. Their communication is fabulous and are always there to help with any questions you may have. Ms. Hasna, the executive director, truly made us feel like family. Her experience and professionalism made me feel comfortable right away. I love the safety measures they have in place and feel super safe with my kids being here. Also, the facility was CLEAN and organized. This school is the best in the area for our two children, we just recently moved from California to southern md. We found this gem and was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and accommodating the staff is. The school director Ms. Hasna and her team staff love working with children and truly care about the kids well being during the school year and beyond. They are thorough with the development learning process of each individual child. They send pictures/ video and summarize daily curriculum of what the kids are learning for each day. The Goddard School is outstanding! We have 2 children at the school now and love how much our kids have learned! The staff is committed to excellence and their philosophy is truly outstanding! Our oldest Child attended Goddard as well and is doing really well in 1st grade. Our son learned how to play Chess during Kindergarten and placed second in the Charles County public Schools Winter Chess Tournament out of 26 kids! He did this as a 1st grader and managed to beat 2nd graders.He is excellent in Chess and I Thank Goddard School for making Chess part of their curriculum. Although there has been significant transition in the front office, we have felt well informed of all the changes taking place. It's a compliment to staff, both teachers and admin, that the transition occurred so smoothly. Goddard School is the best in the area. The school is clean and the faculty is awesome. My son was there until Kindergarten. He was sad to leave 2 years ago and used to say : " I wish could stay here until I go to college ". This school is amazing. By far the best early childhood center in the Charles County area! My son has gone to a home daycare, Children of America and will now graduate from Goddard School ready for 1st grade.
