So here I go there is a lady by the name of Dionne/Deon one of the most nastiest 30/40 aged woman. This woman is mean AF to children and the owner Mrs.Warren is reluctant to change. She is no better. If a parent has concerns of a child's identified having being treated mean or isolated. They single the child/children out and Mrs Warren is contacted as the owner to follow up yet she is so unbothered about parents concerns. Warren will cover her staff wrong doing up. We were originally referred from friends and coworkers that the business has gone down from what I've been told it once was very good. Dionne/Deon and Warren both only want money. When we first enrolled we were told breakfast and evening stack would be provided and child should bring lunch daily. Ok sounds easy enough right nope weeks later after starting they advise do not bring lunch that require being warmed, etc. my baby doesn't care for sandwiches etc. but ok we adjusted then we receive a message saying afternoon stacks will NO longer be provided then we start adding additional snacks our baby likes and then we're informed he/she is not given the snacks because other children can't have the same. Keep in mind these kids ages range from 2-4 in age. Our baby has been withdrawn but I tell you to be very hesitant they have no cameras for parents in 2023. They don't like unscheduled pop ups. These two ladies have the staff shook to their core. Dionne/Deon snatch's kids push and shove when reported to Mrs Warren the OWNER her responses are vague and is never about the child. Often stealing kids/children belongings. Also throwing children food out before they've finished eaten an set at a table for very long periods of time. I had to add my own camera and honey this place is GHetto and a scam. I want to have them inspected for a wellness check for the other kids. Mrs. Warren had 2 locations and 1 closed because of Covid but scamming parents sending nasty text messages begging for registration every month for end of year, spring, summer and fall all within a 35 days timeframe is not realistic. This is a black owned business and truly wanted to see them WIN but this place is a hole in a wall like a dirty Carryout that you come in and decide to leave because it looks shady. #Littlebusybee stop being ghetto, #mrswarrenstopprotectingstaffversechildren. That is what you are there for. The love of children is not there specialty. People if you don't care for children please get out of the business. This is scary for all involved and it breaks my heart when children are mistreated. I will always advocate for mines but I won't be silent when I witness or hear of anyone's child being missed treated. Oh yes and they have it hot as hell like a sauna. I could go on and on. Last thing when they don't care for parents they are means as hell to your child/children. I hope this lands on the right desk. Below mediocre services.

We have tried other daycare centers but none even come close to the program and staff at Happy Faces ELC. The certified staff takes continuing education courses in early childhood education/development to maintain their credentials and they're so knowledgeable, very professional, firm but fair, and all the kids have fun and learn about all kinds of things. A normal school day for children is to arrive bright and early between 6:00 - 7:00am, they play in whatever educational center they chose (computers, housekeeping, blocks, library area, etc) until it's time to go to school. Mr. Tim drives the children to school in the Happy Faces new 14 passenger van. When they get out of school, Mr. Tim is there to pick them up and take them safely back to Happy Faces. When they arrive, they have time to wind down and eat a snack, then they start their homework. After homework is finished, the children enjoy free time playing outside with the other children, entertaining themselves in one of the learning centers, reading a book or playing an educational game the teacher has prepared/set-up. Happy Faces ELC's Summer Program is exciting, educational and most of all fun! When I pick her up, she just can't stop talking about all the exciting things she did that day. Our grand-daughter especially likes the field trips to: bowling, skating, parks, museums, swimming, movies and more!!! On non-field trip days, Happy Faces has special guests stop by to educate and entertain the children like: a mobile petting zoo, clowns, magicians, police officers, fire fighters, and more! Happy Faces ELC is so exciting and educational that my grand-daughter won't go anywhere else! We love Happy Faces ELC, we wouldn't dream of going anywhere else and the staff are so friendly and professional !!!! We give Happy Faces 2 thumbs up!!!!

When my daughter first saw the happy face outside when riding past, she told me she wanted to go there. I have never stepped into a more professional, clean & safer daycare before. Even the ones I've worked at weren't professional enough for me. Proud to say I am no longer there. My child cried to go to Happy Faces. Even if she was sick....she just loved it there. She sees Ms. Angela in passing and runs to her. It was such a pleasure to be a part of Happy Faces family. Ms. Thompson

Our daughter has been in Ms. Danielle's class since she was 15 months old and will soon be turning two. In that time, I've witnessed the profound impact Ms. Danielle has had on her development. It's clear to see that Ms. Danielle's deep love for teaching shines through in everything she does with our child. Our daughter has flourished under Ms. Danielle's guidance: learning letters, shapes, colors, numbers (in both English and Spanish), new sign language words, songs, dances, and so much more. But beyond just the educational milestones, Ms. Danielle has inspired a curiosity and love for learning in our daughter that will last a lifetime. As parents, we place an immense level of trust in our children's teachers-not only to help them grow but also to keep them safe. With Ms. Danielle, I never worry. She is always attentive, nurturing, thoughtful, creative, and approachable. Both my husband and I feel completely comfortable reaching out to her with any questions or concerns regarding our child. I greatly admire the level of communication she maintains with families and how she always partners with us in the care, growth, and development of our daughter. Although our daughter will soon be moving on to a new class, our family will forever be grateful for the love and dedication Ms. Danielle has shown to her. She is a truly exceptional teacher, and we feel lucky to have had her in our child's life. With sincere gratitude, The Stevens Family Waldorf, MD

We asked the front desk assistant if we needed to reschedule (since we did leave work for the tour) and she said "well today is pizza Friday and it will be a few more minutes (but couldn't tell us how many more minutes). First impressions are super important...if we are scheduling a tour to potentially place our children in this school, things should have been organized and prepared. Not to mention this tour was scheduled three weeks ago. This was totally unprofessional and frustrating as my husband and I both left work to attend this "tour". Also, I could understand had she said take a seat in the lobby we'll be with you in a moment, we are taking care of something but she didn't and then mentioned the tour was only 30 minutes and that we were the only tour for this day....as if our scheduled tour wasn't important. I am most definitely not sending my children here if the tour alone was unprofessional.

I enrolled my son in St. John based on wonderful reviews from parents I knew through my sons karate…read moreclasses. I was looking for a private school education that was religion based. When we toured the school everything looked to be in order the principal Mrs. Scott was very pleasant and had really updated the school over the last few years. The school was organized which my sons other school lacked. The beginning of school was great, orientation new parents learned all the rules of the school and the kids got a chance to meet their teacher and classmates. The week before school started at a meeting with the parents and teachers we found out that the kindergarten class had 28 kids in the class, mouths dropped and you heard a big gasp in the classroom. After the announcement parents started to look around and talk in smaller groups about how we are paying for a private school why are the classes so large. We were told that the classroom can hold up to 30 kids and if 2 more enrolled they would accept them at any time during the school year. This should have been my first red flag clue and I should have run for the hills with my refund check in my back pocket. The class size was so large they had to convert the library into the kindergarten room in order to accommodate everyone. The kindergarten class had 2 teachers in the room so should I say 1 main teacher and 1 aid. The first couple weeks of school went pretty smoothly my son was happy and during well, after those 2 weeks passed that was it his mood had changed. I begin getting phone calls on a daily basis from him teacher saying that he wasn't paying attention and making strange noises in class. This wasn't my kid they were talking about, he had been to school prior and they only thing he would get a note home for is talking to much (he's a chatty boy). The phone calls went on like this for days finally I met with the teacher and the lady really got under my skin saying that maybe there are problems at home that are causing him to behave this way and maybe you should have him speak with a professional. As a parent who has raised your child for 5 1/2 years with no prior problems like this you start to get a little red in the face and want to go on attack mode. I calmly told her thank you for suggestions I'll talk with my son. After a long conversation he told me he was disrupting the class because that was the only way to get the teachers attention. He never got called on to answer questions or write on the smart board for 56 days (the class did calendar every morning so they knew how many days they had been in school). It broke my heart to know that everyday a question was called on and his had would be up he was being picked over. This is a private school with 28 5-6 year olds, after looking at the other classes and talking with the parents it seemed that the class sizes were growing in every classroom and parents were frustrated. Besides the class size the curriculum was sub-par, my son was bringing home work he had done when he was 3 in pre-school. Oh the principal Mrs. Scott was a reputation of dodging parents and avoiding any questions. It's amazing what you find out after you get in the school, just because the wrapping on the outside is pretty doesn't mean the pieces inside aren't broken. I pulled my son from St. John the end of November and moved him into a wonderful Christian school where he has 13 kids in the class and his behavior changed over night. St. John was not a good fit for my family so good luck to you if you sign your child up. Also please ignore your child's teacher when they say he or she may be ADHD, I've been told multiple times those initials get thrown around a lot when a child "acts out" in class.
