We recently enrolled our 2 year old son at the Goddard on Route 70 and could not be happier. Our son truly enjoys his time spent there, most mornings he runs to the door to head to school to start his day after breakfast. The owner, Ms. Alisa, is amazing and takes the time to truly know each child and their parents. My son is comfortable with all of the staff and teachers. He has been learning so much, from language acquisition to social skills, he amazes me every day that he comes home. The Goddard on Route 70 goes above and beyond for students enrolled, this summer they even had a farm come to the site and bring animals and they often have a live musician come to sing with the kids! We are so happy with our experience at the Goddard on Route 70, I would highly recommend them. read more

My son recently graduated from The Goddard School on Rt 70. He loved it there. Ms. Alisa, Mr. Pete, Ms. Maura and the staff left me with peace of mind every day for the past 2+years. It was very hard for us to move on from there. The Goddard family provided a very SAFE learning environment. They answered all of my questions and concerns with care and were on top of my son's allergies. I really liked my children's experience at the Goddard School. All 3 of my kids went there, and I couldn't have been more happy. They were professional, organized and very caring. Their teachers were all so caring and went above and beyond with my children. The Goddard School follows a curriculum and teaches children what they need to know to prepare for kindergarten. They had a way of meshing learning with playing as to keep the children engaged. The other thing I like about the school is they get the families involved by often having parties and activities on nights and weekends. These were great opportunities to allow us to meet the parents of the children our kids were playing with, as well as their teachers. In summary, The Goddard School is a great School with an excellent staff and clean environment. The teachers and administration and very nice and caring as is the owner, Elisa. It's our one year anniversary!! Our son had a phenomenal year!!! Switching to Goddard has been one of our greatest decisions! We really feel our son is well prepared to enter Kindergarten (to which he is off to next month---sniff!) Our son loved Goddard so much that our daughter (age 7) decided to go to summer camp there. My son attended in home daycare since he has been in daycare and it came to a point in time where he needed more to excite his love for learning. After touring a few places, Goddard School and in particular this Goddard was a shining star. From their clean facilities to exciting lesson plans, my son walked into Goddard and never looked back. All of the teachers and teachers assistants have a background in child care. They provide a loving learning environment and i know everyday my child is engaged in everything he is doing. He knows all the teachers by name and they know him. I get daily reports showing me how his day went. But the smile he has on his face when i pick him up tells me so much more. This school is great! The owner is brilliant and is so committed to making her school the best, and both she and the Director are warm, welcoming, and really knowledgeable. The facility itself is cheery and clean. The management and staff offer a real curriculum that focuses on reading and writing. The staff is great about keeping parents in the loop! I would not recommend this school, The owner has no experience with childcare and the teachers do not last long it is a revolving door. We had many unpleasant experiences with this school and all directly related to the poor management. We relocated our children to the Kiddie Academy on Hope Chapel Rd. in Jackson, Wow what a difference just the in classroom cameras to check on your child anytime throughout the day is enough of a reason to change. We were very hesitant to relocate our children after being there for 7 years and hanging in while the school went through three different owners and had gotten worse with each change of hands. read more

The most important thing when looking for a child care center for your child is how the director and owners treat you , this comes before meeting teachers. Ms. Alisa and Ms. Lauren are wonderful they listen to my concerns, they care about my daughters happiness and have went above and beyond in making sure my daughter is safe and happy. My sons thrive developmentally and emotionally, forming social bonds and an understanding of subjects like problem solving, comprehension, and artistic creativity. I especially love the dedication of the teachers and administration and the above and beyond approach they all take in organizing functions for the kids, maintaining daily activities, and in cultivating relationships among students, parents, and staff. The school is always clean, safe, happy, and full of positive energy. The students all seem to thrive and are really able to grow from the FLEX curriculum featured at Goddard. Directors Alisa, Jess and Lauren are beyond wonderful, always providing parents with the peace of mind that their children would constantly and consistently receive stable, safe, and educational care. My son has been in Goddard about a month now and it has been such a fantastic experience! I did a tour and the director Alisa was very welcoming and warm and after meeting his teacher Jasmine I knew this was an environment I wanted my son to be at. He is almost age 3 and each day is filled with fun educational activities. At our last daycare he would cry at drop off, at Goddard he is running into the classroom to give his teachers hugs and to see his friends. There is an emailed daily report with a picture attached of the daily activities, food eaten, potty times and it just paints a real picture as to what your child is doing while there. It is a lovely touch and I couldn't be happier. The teachers in the rainbow room Jasmine and Kristen are wonderful. I really feel they genuinely care for my child and I know he is getting lots of attention and good care while he is with them. I get a very detailed report at pick up about how his day went and they are always friendly, nice and polite. I was directed to Goddard by Edna who works there after having some issues at a prior day care my son was attending. When she told me the educational things being taught at such an early age and how structured Goddard was I knew it was an easy decision to make. Goddard also can provide lunch for a small fee. For busy parents this is something really great to offer. Everyone though the building is always very nice and you can tell they really enjoy working there. Weekly my husband and I just say I'm so glad we moved our son to Goddard. I have 3 children and have been through the daycare process for many years. Without doubt Goddard is the best facility I have ever been to. If you are looking for a safe, fun, educational experience for your child. Look no more. This is the place for you. read more

Our child attended Goddard on Route 70 in Toms River. The management of the Director Alisa was disappointing to say the least. We found Alisa to be extremely unprofessional and non-caring. The school was never very clean and the front Lobby is always cluttered with junk. The staff seems to be disgruntled and the turnover rate is very high. VERY HIGH. The teachers are paid poorly and not all of the lead teachers have a degree in early childhood education. Also in case you're wondering why you're paying top dollar for your child it is because they fixed the numbers to make it less expensive for another family. They are not fair financially. They jumble numbers whenever they feel to accommodate whomever they choose. The school is often closed for many in service days leaving you with ample days to find another means of childcare. Your monthly fee is calculated based on the amount of time you are paying for your child to be present in school. With that said you are denied any option to switch your child to another day when the school is open. If your child falls very ill and can not attend for weeks, you're still denied any opportunity to make up days and ensure your child gets the education you've paid for. Just write that check that's what it's all about for Alisa. Look elsewhere. Goddard Route 70 is a Terrible environment all around and a poor way to spend your families hard earned money. Soo let me tell you about the experience I had at this specific location with the director of the school.... Alissa I think that's what her name was. So today I was called by my sister to pick up my niece and nephew from the school. I walk in and the lovely lady at the front desk asked for my ID, I started looking for my ID couldn't find it fast enough and was jus waived in. Let's get this clear I never met the lady at the front desk before nor did I ever meet the director. strike one of unprofessionalism. So I go into the office to my left and can already tell that the director was completely disgusted and aggravated for some reason. I geuss you can say she was trying to be intimidating. I walk in and my niece and nephew was sitting on the floor of the office. So as a concerned uncle I asked as politely and calm as possible what happened. Here's where's the story goes completely left field just KEEP READING. Apparently my nephew threw some type of tantrum he pulled her books off the shelf ... w.e the case may be my nephew is 3 years old. Anyway so I walk in the office and she begins to go off on me from the very beginning, began to chastise me , raised her voice, told me how bad my nephew was and continued to in front of them in such a degrading disgusting way. Not to mention when she was talking about my nephew in front of him she had a completely disgusted look on her face as if my nephew disgusted her and she couldn't bare the sight of him, she even threw in the words "who raised him "and "I wonder where he got that from", but wait there's more here's the kick.... so I continue to be calm and told my niece and nephew to calmly get there things and get ready to leave and my nephew points to the window and said that she threw his sneakers out the fucking window, please excuse my language. So I look at her and asked her if she did and her reply was "sure did right out the window" . My reply was "are you serious" with a weird out look and she replied "yea look what he did to my office " and continue to say how she worked there for 5 years and never had a kid like this blah blah blah.. the only thoughts that was in my head at this point was that he is 3 years old and she threw his sneakers out the window. if she is a teacher or director of the school and this is how she is talking to me I can only imaging how she was treating him before I got their. Anyway so I decided to try to defuse this one sided argument by saying you honestly shouldn't be talking about my nephew or chastising me in front of him and her response was well "WHY Not" then she proceeded to yell at me and told me to get my kids/niece and nephew and get out of her school. Keep in mind I haven't raised my voice once nor say anything disrespectful to be treated this way. Not to mention a week prior she threw his sneakers in the garbage (neglect). I say all that to say this that director in my opinion is a unprofessional, disgusting, nasty, degrading, self centered individual and I will never in my life recommend a child to go to this school until she is gone. She obviously don't care about the kids and don't know how to speak to parent or the kids in A professional way. Let alone know how to detain a 3 year old child that has been there since he was 9months. I cant even began to imaging how she treat the staff their but that's a whole other topic. The one staff that was in the office was completely quiet and I know she thought this was wrong but was probably scared to say something. I can continue all day and even pull the race card... but I'm not gonna take it that far I will be figuring out and going above this franchise to get something done about this. There are ways you talk to people and ways you don't, Today she picked the wrong person. I know I'm being repetitive but anybody would if there child was being compared to a complete animal. I am not justifying what my nephew did, he was wrong and I continued to tell him but at the same time he is 3 years old. This is not the type of person you want running a school for KIDS in my opinion. She talked about and degraded my nephew as if he was a grown man in front of him. I'll say it one last time, He is only 3years old. The bad part is that this school doesn't even have cameras so you will never know what agitated him or what really happend in that office, they can tell you anything. If I can give this school a 0 star I will but unfortunately I have to settle for 1 read more

Had my grandchildren living with me for two months. They were ten months old and 28 months. We enrolled both of them in the Goddard school on Rte. 70 in toms River. The teachers were so receptive to the children. They both loved the school and did not want to leave when we came to pick them up. Loved this school. Wish the kids could have remained, but they moved to Pennsylvania. I recommend this school highly. read more
