Atlantic City Aquarium

Atlantic City Aquarium

As long as you have the right expectation, this is a great place at a decent price. It's tiny…read morecompared to the amazing aquariums in Baltimore or Atlanta, but an entire family gets in here for less than the price of one person's admission at those places. It's outstanding for younger kids who love to touch everything: they can touch sharks, horseshoe crabs, and stingrays. Otherwise, the sea turtle is the star, with other small tank standards like jellyfish, tropical fish, and octopus. An easy improvement to the top floor would be a bit more of an interactive, discovery play area.

If you want to experience a true tourist trap off the boardwalk, well do I have the place for you…read more Come on down, or maybe up to the Atlantic City Aquarium (up from the boardwalk). There is literally not much else around here and you will definitely be wasting some time here. I decided to take some time out of my day to come up here for something to do other than on the boardwalk. I shouldn't have wasted the time to walk the distance to come here. It is completely underwhelming. I could blame it on the fact that currently the second floor is vacant of any aquatic resident. As they are undergoing a renovation of sorts. But even with the second floor being open with more exhibits, this place is not worth it. It is a single room of aquariums. That's it. There is some interactive areas where you can touch certain creatures. One being horseshoe crabs. But most of this place is small aquariums with species that are local to the area. Aside from the one big aquarium, there isn't much else to do in the building. The big draw for the big aquarium is the sea turtle...that likes to hide more times than be out and about. When the sea turtle is out and about, everyone rushes to the glass and overwhelms the area. They make you feel like you are getting a deal on admission by making it half off since half the exhibit areas is not open. At $6, I feel like that should be the general admission the whole year, not just during the renovation. Staff were pleasant, mostly. The ones dealing with kids were amazing, the others were as drab as the building.

Playcade is a classic amusement arcade that opened in Atlantic City, New Jersey in the 1950s…read more Located on the Atlantic City Boardwalk, it is the city's longest established arcade. The arcade features a variety of both classic and modern amusements, including Ice-Ball (a variation of Skee-Ball), classic arcade cabinets, crane machines, rail-shooter games, pinball machines, and more. My family and I visited Playcade this past summer while we were on a road trip. I've turned my older son onto arcades in the past couple of years, and he was super excited when I told him that the Atlantic City Boardwalk has no shortage of them. We had visited the Lucky Snake Arcade a day earlier. That place is just HUGE, but I longed for a classic arcade experience and I knew that I could get that at Playcade. They had a nice mixture of old and modern games. The prices were pretty descent too. We played a few games of Ice-Ball and then my son and I enjoyed a few games of "Ice Man". The latter is a rail-shooter game where the players use mounted water cannons to shoot and freeze zombies. It reminded us a lot of "Plants vs Zombies", which we both love. Afterwards, my son redeemed all of our tickets for some fun prizes. Overall, we had a really nice visit. If you love classic arcades then you must visit Playcade!

Of course you must stop at the store on your way out and they will hold onto something because everything looks wonderful. Have yourself a fun time at this park!…read more I visited "Storybook Land" with my mother, and 5-year old nephew on a Saturday afternoon on April 26th, 2025. It cost $104.97 for three PreSeason discount tickets. We drove almost two hours from Newark to Egg Harbor Township because we heard great things about this place. It's known for having a fairytale-themed park with lots of creative statues and interactive sets that represent popular fables like "Mother Goose" and "Goldilocks and The Three Bears." The location is smaller than most parks I've been to, which is good for little kids who want to run to every ride. In a span of two hours, my family and I got on everything minus a couple attractions. There is ample parking for cars, and the entrance is bold with its large sign and white and red castle. The park played Disney music, which was soo cute! I remember hearing soundtracks from Mulan, Cinderella, and The Little Mermaid. None of the rides felt too scary for kids, even the roller coasters weren't extreme. There's also rides where kids can feel like they're driving a car, and a train that shows you the entire park. My favorite ride was "Bubbles the Coaster" and "The Rockin' Tug." The only issue with this park are the food selections. The lunch that my family had here wasn't good- at least from the cafe right next to the exit/gift shop; everything from the cheeseburger, french fries, and cookies tasted stale and more on the cold side than the hot side. I wouldn't recommend ordering food here, but everything else was great. I don't think I'll visit again only because it's so far from where I live, but this was a good one-time experience that I was able to have with my family. If you're in the area, I would encourage you to stop by and feel like you're in a magical world!

I was able to get the date and time I needed. The prices are very reasonable and you can even bring your own food or drinks without being forced to have them provide it. I did have them provide my pizza because that is what i chose and they ordered it and had it delivered for perfect timing. The party room is very cute and even has a kitchen they let you use! I wanted a character for my son and the owner Mary did everything she could since the cheaper company they usually use wasn't available due to personal issues that were very understandable. I talked to her a million times back and fourth on the phone until she found a company i agreed to use. She didn't stop until she found another reasonable company!! LOVED LOVED LOVED my experience and would ABSOLUTELY recommend this place to anyone especially for birthday parties!! My guests loved this place as much as I did and i think we will all be back for open play! By the way, this place was the CLEANEST kids place i have ever seen!! Both times I looked on their Facebook for their open play times like the website says two. Both times we were turned away saying they open later than normal or have a private party. These times were not on their Facebook. I am so disappointed and my son was so upset. They need to do a better job of updating their Facebook. Once they do, I'm sure I'll be there all the time.
