I have also spoken with other parents who told me that they have brought this concern to the director as well. I should clarify that it has been 13 teachers and 5 classrooms in two and a half years, not three. Of those 13 teachers, only 4 are still employed by Lightbridge. Additionally, the owner proudly told me that they have an average tenure of 1 to 2 years for teachers, which strongly highlights a management issue. While the director "reinforced" to me that she had wonderful relationships with the teachers, it does not change the fact that I have had teachers cry to me in the parking lot of the school about the lack of respect from the administration. The teachers spend all day, every day with these children and have strong relationships with the parents. The administration is completely out of touch with their staff and the parents if anything in my review surprises them.

Apple hill review…read more Would give apple hill 0 stars if I could! My family usually loves to build up others and their businesses, so this was very difficult to write. We sent our young daughter to Apple Hill and trusted the staff with our baby girl. However, I am heartbroken to say that she is about to turn 2 years old, and on her birthday will be littered with welts and bruises. It breaks my heart when we look back on photos of this milestone she is going to ask me "daddy why so I have so many injuries?" The staff at Apple Hill was not only condescending, but dismissive of our constant concerns of our daughters repeated injuries. (It also seemed the language barrier between us was something they heavily used to their advantage). I want to be very clear that I understand that toddlers are still learning to walk and are not always stable on their feet. I understand that sometimes babies do get hurt. But there is a difference between the occasional bump and scrape versus consistent and nearly constant injuries on a nearly daily basis. Not to mention, this facility should be baby proof! I expect if she falls she would be protected! Her injuries were constant. I had clients at my job questioning me as to why every time they saw my daughter she had a new injury. Some of these clients see my daughter once or twice a month! She was picked up 2-3 days in a row with new lumps on her head. The black eye she received has left a scar. Each time I look at it, I feel I failed her. The worst part was seeing my daughter so badly bruised, knowing the people that were supposed to protect her were the ones who couldn't give me any answers. When I asked for documentation, they had none when I asked for video they had none. They also suggested watching the live stream video from their lobby, but if I was able to sit and watch my daughter all day from their lobby, I would've had her in my home where I knew she would be safe. Instead, I was working to give her the best life possible. Instead of listening and trying to reassure us, they downplayed our feelings and tried to pass off some of these wounds as bug bites. However, after taking her to a doctor, it was confirmed they were welts and bruises and not bug bites. Sadly, I do not feel comfortable, leaving our daughter in their care anymore, as they had no idea what was going on with her. I fear I will never know if it was a staff member, another child, or unsafe facilities. I also learned many new things about this facility only after my concerns were brought to light, such as at the end of the day all ages of children are brought together, and the teachers couldn't explain how she got hurt which means they weren't watching her. I don't write this review to hurt them because tarnishes a reputation doesn't bring me joy, I write it to hopefully protect another child from injury.

My child started as a very young infant and the 2 caregivers that worked with her most closely seemed annoyed that she was struggling to take a bottle, or cried, or wanted to be held, or struggled with the texture of some foods when she was later starting on solids. All normal parts of development, learning to eat, etc. Caregiver would make negative comments to my baby in front of me at drop off if the baby started to fuss when separating from me. The 3rd caregiver she had at the school did seem caring and attentive and started to do sensory activities daily. Prior to this, it seemed that there were no books read, songs sang, games played, sensory activities. Staff wanted babies to lay and play by themselves. When I entered the room on a few occasions, I saw most staff scrolling on their phones while sitting on the floor rocking babies in rockers or on their bodies, and with older babies crawling around and not being interacted with. My child seemed traumatized by the lack of nurturing caregiver with whom to bond on her first times away from her mom.

This was absolutely terrifying and at no time did the center nor district director attempt to rectify the situation and just said sorry and that they would write up the two teachers that failed their protocol of doing a face to name check going out and coming back in the building. This just goes to show that just having bodies and not qualified intelligent individuals are sought out after for the care of our children. No one knew where she was when we couldn't find her when we went to pick her up until my husband walked past a window and my daughter saw him and immediately started hysterically crying. Total neglect. To make matters worse there is no transparency made to the parents of this incident and what actions will be conducted moving forward to avoid this from happening to another child and instead is all hush, hush. Unless you decide to disenroll your child, don't expect a call expressing a sincere apology or rectifications to any of your concerns or serious ill events such as if your kid gets forgotten outside completely alone. The assistant director was the only one with the decency to call and actually ask how our daughter, myself and husband were doing. Although she was also ultimately responsible for this horrific event, she is the only one that owned up to this mistake. Not the teachers, not the director, nonetheless the district director. If you're a parent of Kindercare I suggest questioning all of your gut feelings and having them addressed immediately. I have seen videos of same exact instances with Kindercare in another state and other daycare establishments with news stations involved for children being left outside for a total of 3 to 8 minutes during the day! Can you imagine how serious this is for 28 minutes in the cold and dark?! What could have happen that didn't, thank god?! Let this sink in as you read all the other positive reviews as did I. It takes seconds to make a life altering mistake for a family that entrusts their heart, body and soul with utter and complete strangers. Shame on you all. Our daughter is 2.5 and couldn't tell us what happened during that 30 minute time frame she was outside in the dark nor are there cameras over looking the playground with gates open at all times incase of an "emergency". All other centers have alarms on the gates at the very least. Simple, cheap, effective way to avoid kidnappings when your kid is forgotten outside by their caretakers. An investment that will hopefully be made very soon after this inexcusable mistake.

Barbra is a nasty woman to have to deal with. She is very conniving and spiteful. She yells at you to quickly close the door when coming in so you don't let the heat out. And yells at the children in the morning during drop off to sit down (they have to sit the whole time until the other teachers come in) and be quiet. They are all crammed into one room from the little 18 month of babies to the big 5 year olds. And should you be a day late in payment be prepared to be humiliated. You can either chose to pay a late fee or buy bagels for all the teachers in the school and she announces to everyone how you were late. Building seems to be falling apart and should your child be in one of the upstairs classrooms they are not aloud to go number 2 in that bathroom because the toilet easily clogs. They are forced to go all the way down stairs to the infant room. My son would come home each day with such a belly ache because he was too embarrassed to use the other bathroom. Can you blame him? I certainly wouldn't want to announce to all my co-workers when I needed to have a bowel movement. There are so many more options out there and I highly recommend you seek them out.
